About: I have been an ongoing volunteer at the Animal Defense League of San Antonio since I was about 9 y/o, taking the dogs on walks and socializing the cats and kittens. I have thorough knowledge and experience with raising and fostering kittens, as well as dogs just under 1y/o. I've owned and fostered cats and dogs at varying life stages, throughout my entire life as well. I am well experienced and knowledgeable in animal care and the handling of a myriad of pets and wildlife. While currently also shadowing a very experienced and accredited dog trainer, I am definitely confident in my ability to provide extra care and love for your sweet, fur-babies. Currently, I am in-between jobs, so I as long as I have about a day's heads-up, I'm usually free pretty much any day to care for you furry friend. I perfer to start my work day around afternoon to late afternoon, though morning time isn't a deal-breaker. I want your pet to experience the least amount of stress possible (especially during the first couple visits), so I try to stick to their daily routine as much as I can. For walks, I am quite comfortable walking bigger dogs that may come across as a lot to handle, despite being of a smaller stature. I have experience with training arduous or physically demanding dogs to walk beautifully on the leash also. As for drop-in visits and sitting, I will always stick to the schedule you provide and the safety and well-being of your pet will always be my top priority.

About: Hi, I’m Soraya! My boyfriend Alex and I are lifelong animal lovers who truly enjoy caring for pets and getting to know their unique personalities. We treat every pet we care for as if they were our own and want them to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and happy while you’re away. I’ve always had a passion for animals. In high school, I was involved in FFA and took Veterinary Science classes, where I gained hands-on experience learning about animal care. I’ve also worked in a veterinary environment assisting veterinary technicians in the back, as well as working at a boarding facility. These experiences have given me the opportunity to care for and interact with many different types of animals and personalities. My boyfriend has been by my side throughout my pet-care journey and has joined me for our previous Rover and boarding experiences. About: I have been animal sitting since I was in single digits. Now I have my own well adjusted (mostly) fur babies that I care for. Rogue, Kevin, Remy and Bernadette are my world. I take pride in the fact that they are never afraid of a raised hand an have never known a day of starvation. Toys are plentiful in our home, as are warm places to sleep. Lap cuddles are always welcome. I have trained two service dogs, as well as taught many more dogs basic manners. No harsh words or raised voices, but reward based systems instead. I am currently a stay-at-home pet mom, so my schedule is wide open. The only standing obligation I have is church on Sundays, which can be adjusted with notice. Same day requests are doable as long as it is not same day boarding. My schedule is already bent to the will of my own fur babies, I can easily to adjust to whatever you need! I have a fenced in yard, and a single story home for safety. I have my own fur babies: Rogue, my senior cat who minds her own business. Kevin, my senior large dog who is a retired service dog. Then my two year old pups, Remy and Bernadette. Remy is an active service dog, while Bernadette has separation anxiety. In our home no animal is left alone. In boarding situations a private space can be provided for your animal. Kennels and gates are available for separation if needed.

About: I have experience with pet sitting a variety of pets. I understand the importance of building trust with a pet to make them comfortable. I enjoy walks and playtime! I recently moved back from South Korea. I have a lot free time daily. I am an active member of a dance club. So, I have an hour dance class each evening, except the weekends. I make sure to always keep an eye on pets, especially when outside for potty time. I can care and adapt to an owner's needs. “My Bailey's home away from home!! Ok so a little background- my dog Bailey is a rescue who was physically abused by her previous owner. For this reason, she is utterly terrified of new people because she has a natural distrust for people following early life events. Kristen and her family originally spent time coming to my house to walk Bailey and spend time with her, and Bailey had been doing well with the new dog walkers! However, after learning about Bailey's concerns, Kristen thought it may improve Bailey's situation to have her spend the day at doggy daycare, and let me tell you, she and her family have done an amazing job taking care of Bailey!!! I've never seen her so happy every day when I come to pick her up (and probably even more happy to be dropped off :P). It's only been a few weeks and I can already tell Kristen and her family are making her feel at home away from home, and carefully allowing her to interact with other dogs and humans when Bailey is ready. I've been absolutely overjoyed seeing her improvement in socialization skills, and, really, just how happy and comfortable she is; makes my day! On a side note, following several meetings with a Behavioralist, I'm actively training her to help improve her anxiety and fear toward people. Kristen understands how important this is and has been ensuring Bailey is trained (in the same way I'm training her for continuity sake) while at doggy daycare, since I don't have the opportunity to train her several times throughout the day during the work week. Her obedience has improved, and better yet, she's starting to see new people with a different outlook; she's excited to make new friends! Thank you Kristen!!”

About: I worked as a kennel tech for a dog trainer for 2 years and have been volunteering with a dog rescue that saves abused and neglected dogs for the past 6 years. These experiences, as well as raising my own dogs, have given me the knowledge to work with most dogs, but my passion is working with fearful, anxious, and reactive dogs. Working on their time to gain their trust is my specialty and passion. I have experience working through basic obedience, counter conditioning, confidence building, muzzle training, gear shyness, and cooperative care. I also have experience working with dogs that require more intensive care due to feeding routines (such as making homemade food or strict feeding schedules with medications) and grooming maintenance (frequent or routine baths due to coat type or skin conditions). Know that under my care, your pup will be with someone who understands them as an individual and can meet them where they are at. For Walks/Drop Ins: I have pretty varied availability throughout the day on weekdays due to my work schedule. For Housesitting: I typically need to be out of the house anywhere from 4-10 hrs depending on my shift at work. Your dog's comfort as well as yours are my top priorities, so I do require a meet and greet before any service I provide. This allows me to meet your pet and see their behavior before a service, and lets you see how your pet feels around me. I provide daily updates with pictures, with the ability to provide more frequent updates at your request. I also strictly follow any instructions and routines laid out for me regarding a pet's care.
