“Terry provided great care to our dog and gave her lots of attention. Terry went out of her way to make sure our pup was comfortable and happy. Great communication and we enjoyed the photo/video updates. Highly recommend for a caring and responsible sitter.”

“Nacho had a great time with Francy and her daughter. We were very grateful for her last minute accommodations when some last minute plans came up. She updated me often and reassured me that Nacho was doing well. Thank you Francy!”

“They were very patient and accommodating with our pet. They provided constant updates with photos and video which made me feel at ease. I also had to add an extra night to the booking and they were very understanding about the sudden change of plans. I will definitely be using them in the future and would highly recommend their family to keep your pet safe.”

“Marisa and her family were great. This was our first time boarding our new babies (Archie & Lily) and they immediately took to her daughters. They were immediately part of the family and had a loving home to stay in. Hands down would 100% recommend Marisa for boarding/sitting. One of the many reasons we use Rover is to find amazing people like this that will care for your family as one of their own.”

“Sarah took great care of my pup. I would trust her anytime to care for her again. She updated me with pictures and re assured me that she was doing just fine. Mu dog even got spoiled with daily walks! If your thinking about considering Sarah to care for your pup, I promise your pup is in good hands.”

“I just wanted to share a glowing review for Sylvia, who recently took care of our Cavapoo, Benzy. Silvia did an absolutely fantastic job from start to finish. She not only made sure Benzy was happy, well-fed, and well-exercised, but she also went the extra mile by sending us adorable pictures and updates. It was so reassuring to see Benzy having such a good time. Silvia’s warmth and professionalism really shone through, and it’s clear she genuinely cares about the pets she looks after. We’ll definitely be trusting her with Benzy again in the future. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful dog sitter!”

“Max my lab loves this sitter eveytime I pick him up he is happy. Flexible, always sending pics and updates and had an unexpected situation pop up and this sitter was very helpful took max last moment for a few days. Kathy also has a family which makes me feel better to know max had plenty of attention. Kathy watches other dogs so Max always has friends to play with. Kathy is very reasonable on price. I recommend Kathy and give this sitter 10 out of 10 rating.”

“This is our first time booking through Rover and we are so glad to have found Fernando to take care of our Prince. Fernando is very sweet and took the time to do a meet and greet so we can see how Prince did before we confirmed as we were worried since Prince hasn’t had much interaction with other dogs or people His dogs were also very friendly. His house was very clean & safe and he also has a big fenced in yard. He kept us worry free by sending regular updates and pictures and took very good care of Prince. We plan to book Princes care with Fernando and definitely recommend him.”

About: We’ve had a lab collie for 15 years and lost him last December. Now that we have a dog shaped piece of our family missing we are looking to care for your pets. Our tabby cat and 8 year old son are looking forward to playing and staying with your pets and providing companionship while your away. We have 1-2 adults home throughout the week. My wife works from home. My son is also home for the summer and weekends during the school year. We prefer to sit from Friday to Monday. We have a medium sized back yard with grass and shade trees. We have a gated community with private roads to walk on, also with shade. We have a 3 year old tabby cat named Luna with an automatic litter box and toys. Our 8 year old son is also looking forward to helping care for and play with your pets since loosing our 15 year old lab, Colorado.
“David and his family are absolutely fantastic, they communicated with me super often sending pictures and updates on my little guy and that gave me freedom to relax in my trip knowing he was being cared for. They are kind, respectful and professional and my chuchu loved them. 1000% recommend!”

“I had an awesome trip and Iagan and Melanie had an awesome stay with Charlie and Madeleine! Each day brought multiple picture and video uploads to keep me up to date. Iagan flirted with a poodle and Melanie branched out and found herself a friend too. All I can say is that there was enough walking and pack time to keep the dogs busy. So much that Iagan and Melanie took a day and a half to recover. Tired dogs are good dogs! We will be repeat customers for day care and overnight. Charlie and Madeleine are perfect dog parents :)”

“Carlson was very sweet with my pup and very patient about the whole process. She was kind and very accommodating I felt I could relax away from my dog and she gave daily updates so I could see how he was doing which put my mind at ease I would recommend them and will plan on using their service again. Thank you!”

“Amazing care of our dogs, as always! I know they’re getting great attention, lots of love and plenty of cuddles from Mauricio’s kiddos. Sometimes I think they like being with him more than being home!”

“Alana was super sweet and took great care of our Riley Roo!! She communicated with us in the morning and evening with cute pics of our pup and was very accommodating to our wishes. It’s clear she’s a dog lover through and through. Highly recommend her :)”

“This was Chief’s first boarding and is an only dog. Chief had a great time all week We were sent regular pictures throughout his stay. We will definitely use her again.”

“Jack stayed with his second family (AKA Jaime and family) over the 4th of July weekend. He gets treated like part of the family so we have no stress when we need to be away.”

“Angelica was great! I was able to book her last minute and she was also flexible with my travel schedule! She sent me updates of Oliver and I could tell he enjoyed his stay!”

5 Stars – Angel is an absolute gem! I cannot recommend Angel highly enough. From the very first message, she was warm, professional, and clearly someone who genuinely loves dogs. She took the time to ask detailed questions about Trigger’s personality, routines, and quirks, which immediately put me at ease. While I was away, Angel sent regular updates with adorable photos and videos. Trigger wasn’t just “watched”—he was truly cared for. Angel kept up with walks, playtime, feeding, and even the little extra cuddles my anxious boy needs. She also made him homemade treats (which he absolutely loved) and gave me a thoughtful report card detailing how his days went. He came home happy, relaxed, and clearly had a fantastic time. Angel is reliable, communicative, and treats every dog like her own. She’s patient, attentive, and has that special calm energy that dogs just melt for. I felt zero stress the entire time, which is rare when leaving your pet with someone new. If you’re looking for a dog sitter who is trustworthy, kind, and goes above and beyond, Angel is the one. I’m already booking her for my next trip!

Ann did a great job watching my little guy for the weekend. He has some separation anxiety but she was very accommodating and caring with him. He got lots of walks and personal attention. Ann sent pictures of how he was doing and gave me plenty of updates. He seemed genuinely comfortable around her. I would highly recommend Ann!

Laila is absolutely amazing!! She was able to accommodate a quick booking for my cat Tom and made sure he was feeling comfy and safe during his stay. Incredibly transparent and sent many photos and videos while I was away. I felt so reassured the entire time. I highly recommend you book Laila to care for your pets!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
