Since I just graduated from my doctorate program, my availability is very flexible to meet your needs. Whether it be on the weekday or weekend, I’m available all day for day care/walking/drop-ins/house-sitting.

If possible, I'd like to be aware of anything and everything to ensure maximum safety! For their health, it'd be great if I were provided with... - A pet care safety plan that lists emergency contacts, such as your veterinarian and local police, as well as a history of health concerns for your pet - A list of your pet’s medications and how/when to administer them if applicable. To maximize the sitting experience, tell me about... -Your pet's sleeping preferences (crate? bed? if you can, bring these items with you!) - Your pet’s daily routines - Your pet’s daily food intake, including dry food, wet food and treats - Your pet’s favorite games and toys (bring them with you!) - Your pet’s personality — do they get along with other animals and people? Do they have any anxieties (such as the mailman or motorcycles driving by)? What do they like and dislike? - Your favorite walking spots and/or parks to take them to If there's any key information I may have missed, don't hesitate to fill me in!
A typical day
I believe that pet sitting should be fun and stimulating, which means keeping your pet happy and entertained through out the entire experience! Some enrichment activities I like to do (with owner permission) are: scent exploration, problem-solving, target games and massages/grooming.

Pet care experience
I've cared for both dogs and cats (primarily) since I was 8. I also have experience working with fish, turtles, rabbits, and guinea pigs. I've worked with all ages of animals ranging from newborn to senior. In fact, I've assisted in the birthing process and raising of several litters of kittens. Family, friends, neighbors and strangers have counted on my services to watch and aid their cuddly companions. I am constantly applying my knowledge through volunteering at the local animal shelter in my community where I clean, interact with, and walk many animals within a typical day. I have CPR/BLS certifications because pet safety is a big priority! I am very detail-oriented, so you should have no worry with me keeping to your specific care instructions. I've been hired to sit for special needs pets before due to this quality of mine. You can count on me to be responsive, engaging and responsible for assisting you with your pet needs!

Laila watched our house and kitties for 6 nights while we went on our honeymoon and made us feel completely at peace while away! She was available on short notice, very responsive and communicative, and left our house clean and our cats happy! We got daily updates and photos. I’d highly recommend her for your pet care needs!
