“Karen was amazing with my kitties. She always sent pictures of the food, water, and clean box along with pictures of the kitties playing and cuddling. One of my cats needed to be in an e-collar, and every picture of him that she sent showed him wearing the e-collar. Her detailed visit summaries were correct and accurate descriptions of the kitties’ personalities, showing she actually spent time with them and kept them company during her visits. I am so grateful she took great care of them during the holiday season. Thank you Karen!”

“Allison was great! I booked her very last minute, and she still made time to come over to do a greet and meet. She’s clearly a dog lover, and our pups instantly fell in love with her. And very affordable rates! 10/10 would rebook in the future!”

“This week was our first time using Rover for our kitties and we are so happy with the great job Sydney did! I gave lots of instructions because one of our cats recently fell sick and we were very nervous to leave her, but Sydney made us feel much more at ease! I would 10/10 recommend her to anyone else looking for a great sitter for their pet babies:)”

“This was our second time booking Sam, and once again, he was fantastic. He’s incredibly reliable and took great care of our dog, Roberta, while we were away for a quick weekend trip. I was especially nervous this time because our longtime dog, Noah, recently passed away, and this was Roberta’s first time being left alone. Sam was thoughtful and attentive—he sent lots of adorable photos that showed she was happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of playtime. One thing that really stood out was that he left a kind little personal message on our doorbell camera before leaving. It was such a simple gesture but meant a lot. It showed us how much he genuinely cares. Sam treats our home and our pets with respect and kindness. He’s great with animals, communicates well, and gives us real peace of mind. We trust him completely, Roberta adores him, we look forward to the next time soon! Thank you again Sam! :)”

“Veronica thank you for taking such great care of my pups. Veronica did such an amazing job, especially with having to deal with a larger dog. Highly recommended for future requests ☺️”

“Kristin D. provided excellent care for our dogs during our absence. Being first-time leave-at-home pet owners, we were initially hesitant, but Kristin diligently sent us regular photo updates, which greatly reassured us. We are highly satisfied with her service and intend to engage her again in the future.”

“I highly recommend Georgia! She has been excellent in taking care of my Weimaraner, Leo. She is incredibly caring, thoughtful, and attentive to his needs. I always feel at ease knowing he’s in such good hands. Leo absolutely enjoys his time with her, and it’s clear she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she works with. I’m very grateful to have found someone so reliable and compassionate.”

“I could not recommend William more to care for your pet. He did drop in visits when I first got my dog Ralph as a puppy. He did a phenomenal job reinforcing early training—going above and beyond of simply letting him out to the bathroom. William was so great that he continued daily walks with my dog. He is 100% reliable and always worked to improve Ralph’s training. Ralph and I are extremely sad William is moving from Austin. I hope we can find a dog walker half as great!”

“Marla far surpassed my expectations and was my dream pet sitter. I had no worries at all about my pet and was so happy that he was so well taken care of! And she sent me the cutest photos on every visit! Marla is a pro!”

“Caryn was awesome, my dogs told me so! The photos were great to see. She also gave my cat some treats even though we didn’t ask her to care for the cat. She offered to see them an extra visit (free of charge) to ensure they were cared for! I will be booking with her again in the future.”

“Mikelah has been so great! She is punctual and always leaves a great overview of her time with my dog. She always takes lots of photos and it looks like he is having the best time with her. I’d book again without hesitation!”

“Paige was wonderful with Maisie, she’s a rescue dog and very nervous. Paige was very patient. We will be booking Paige again so that Maisie can get to know her better in order for her to house sit when we need to be away over night.”
About: I’ve been a dog lover since I was a little girl! My first pet when I was 9 years old was a Beagle named Shiloh. I’ve had dogs as pets ever since. I’m very reliable, responsible, and comfortable with dogs of all types. I would love the opportunity to be the dog walker/ sitter that puts your mind at ease! I work from home and have a flexible schedule to meet your walking or caregiving needs. I can adjust my schedule to meet your pets daily needs and routine. I have a fenced in yard and currently no other pets in my home. I can crate your pet or allow them to sleep in the living room. I work from home so I can let them in and out to use the restroom and play with them whenever is needed. I have the flexibility to keep the pets on whatever schedule you desire.
“Andrea was great with Jax. She checked in often and provided great feedback on her time with him and clarified everything to ensure his needs were met. I can tell he enjoyed his time with her and I will definitely be re-booking with Andrea in the future.”

“We have booked Vivian over and over again to watch our kitties and will continue to book with her. So communicative, always on time, and always gives our babies love when we’re out of town. Cannot recommend her enough!”

Claudia takes such good care of my three kitties. One of the cats sleeps like the dead and hides a lot. First two days, she couldn't find him. I can't fault her because I lose him all the time. He finds a hiding spot and will sleep for 12 hours straight. She finally found him on days three and four. We got home and they are all happy and healthy. It is so nice to have someone I can trust to take care of them.

Was so patient with my anxious pup. She was able to gain her trust and successfully walk her. So communicative and a pleasure to speak to. I will be booking anytime I’m out of town and she’s available. She sent lots of pics and a sweet message when my dog finally allowed her to slip on the leash! 100/10 🤩🤩🤩

Samuel has been sitting for both our dog and cat for over a year and has been wonderful. We have used him for home boarding and drop in visits at our home in the west side and he is always great with communication, reliable, and does great with our pets. We have been very satisfied!

Karen is amazing she goes above and beyond to make sure my fur babies are taken care of. She is very communicative and provides such great service! I would HIGHLY recommend booking with her, she has never let me down, this is the second time booking with her and will continue to book with her as she is very trustworthy! Thank you Karen!!

Renee is amazing! This is the second time she has cared for my cats and she is great. Renee does such a great job communicating and sharing updates about the pets, I love all the pictures she sends! I know my cats and home are cared for and safe when Renee is on the job :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
