About: Hi! I’m Rodrigo. More than just a dog sitter/walker, I work professionally with dogs every day. As a dog parent of 10 years and a professional dog trainer who has worked with countless dogs of all sizes and personalities, I am not just a dog lover but someone you can feel at ease to trust with your four-legged family member. 🙂 Puppies, seniors, working dogs, reactive dogs, and so on. I’ve handled them all. Feel free to shoot a message with any questions or concerns and I look forward to meeting your dog! (: Currently have an open a flexible and open schedule as working with dogs is my full time focus. Please feel free to message me for scheduling questions (: I currently live in an apartment so I only accept about two or three boarding dogs at a time. Usually boarding dogs are crated within the home for safety. All training or fun will be had outside so the home if for resting and relaxing during the hotter times of the day.
About: I took care of my dog, Luna, since the first day she was born because her mom didn’t want her. I’d wake up every 2 hours to make sure she ate while she was little because I didn’t want anything to happen to her. Now she’s 4 years old running around with her parents and siblings. I have a cat, she recently turned one. I take her everywhere with me, she loves car rides now. At home I have dogs who I’d always look forward going to play with after work. Pets have been a part of my life for a while now and I enjoy it. When it comes to dogs, puppies, I know that most of the time all they want to do is play and I’m okay with that. I think it’s an important part of their life to keep them healthy and happy.I know some pets don’t like being alone and it’s makes me sad to see pets waiting by the door for their owners to show up. So I look forward to being with them whether it’s playing with them or just keeping them company while you’re out working or running errands.
“Another stress-free visit from Mikelah! She does such an amazing job and it’s nice to know that your pup is being well cared for while you’re away from home. I’ve used her for multiple drop-in visits now and I only have glowing reviews to share. Will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Veronica is always quick to respond, prompt with her drop-ins, very thorough and above all incredibly kind and the dogs love her. No question that she is our first choice to look after our dogs every time.”
“Pamela did a great job looking after Dice, Luna, and Tortilla, despite some challenging circumstances due to us living on a military base. She always kept in contact and the photos were adorable. Highly recommend.”

“Caryn took great care of our cat for the two weeks we were out of town! She gave him lots of love, made sure he was fed, and sent us the cutest picture updates! We’ll definitely book again when we need a sitter again!”

“William did a great job. Our pups decided to bark at him but he still got the job done. They seemed to warm up by the last visit. Dog pics with each visit.”

“Ryan and Andres are so good. They helped us with our dogs on a weekend trip and could how they enjoyed their company. I have one reactive strong dog that I can confidently feel they can handle him. And my other small dog is very grumpy but they were able to play with him. They are awesome”

“Marla was absolutely amazing and wonderful! She took such great care of my cat - she played with him and gave him all the attention and cuddles he needed while I was away. I looked forward to all the pictures she would send during each visit. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing he was happy and well cared for. I highly recommend Marla and will definitely be booking her again! ❤️🐾”

“I highly recommend Georgia! She has been excellent in taking care of my Weimaraner, Leo. She is incredibly caring, thoughtful, and attentive to his needs. I always feel at ease knowing he’s in such good hands. Leo absolutely enjoys his time with her, and it’s clear she genuinely loves and cares for the dogs she works with. I’m very grateful to have found someone so reliable and compassionate.”

About: Hi! I am a full time nanny with some extra time while they are in school and I would love love love to care for your fur babies too! I’m a patient, reliable pet sitter with a soft spot for nervous and shy dogs. I take the time to build trust at their pace, creating a calm, safe environment where they can feel comfortable. I have two well trained dogs of my own, so I understand the importance of routine, structure, and loving care. I’m also comfortable giving oral medications and following detailed instructions to keep your pet happy and healthy. You’ll get regular updates while you’re away, so you can relax knowing your pet is in good hands. I’d love to meet you and your pup! I am currently working part-time as a nanny! While my kids are at school I would love to play with your pets! I am able to do drop ins up to 3 times a day and make sure they get plenty of love until the next visit🫶🏼 I care for every pet based on their individual needs and routine. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their familiar environment by following their normal schedule for meals, playtime, bathroom breaks, and medications if needed. I treat every home with respect and make sure they receive plenty of attention, patience, and affection while their family is away. I’ll provide updates and photos so you can feel connected and confident that your pet is being cared for. Caring for pets in my home: As much as I would love to have your baby for a sleepover, unfortunately it is not possible. I have a doggie named Molly who has severe anxiety and has issues being around other pets.
“Faith took amazing care of my dogs while I was away! I had her pop in twice a day to let the dogs out and feed them, and she was punctual for every visit. The dogs were happy in every photo that she sent to me. Overall would definitely rebook with Faith when I go out of town again.”

“Allison was great! I booked her very last minute, and she still made time to come over to do a greet and meet. She’s clearly a dog lover, and our pups instantly fell in love with her. And very affordable rates! 10/10 would rebook in the future!”

“Karen was amazing with my kitties. She always sent pictures of the food, water, and clean box along with pictures of the kitties playing and cuddling. One of my cats needed to be in an e-collar, and every picture of him that she sent showed him wearing the e-collar. Her detailed visit summaries were correct and accurate descriptions of the kitties’ personalities, showing she actually spent time with them and kept them company during her visits. I am so grateful she took great care of them during the holiday season. Thank you Karen!”

About: I am a student at UTSA. I have one cat (Mara) living with me currently. But I have always grown up with many pets of different ages and sizes. I am a loving and caring person especially for animals. I love play time with them, gives me a little exercise too haha. I also have a lot of free time outside of school so I can take good care of your baby all throughout the day. I have experience with giving pets medications, even bigger dogs, so long as they aren't aggressive. I also have experience with handling senior pets. Book me and you are guaranteed your pet will be well taken care of! 💕 and I’m a pro at silly pet pictures, so you’ll get plenty of those. I have school monday-thursday but only a few classes a day so I have time before, between, and after classes. Otherwise my availability is fully open! I am skilled in cleaning up after pets who have accidents. I also love taking walks and play time. Lots of cuddles will be provided too.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Shavano Park
Daniella went ABOVE AND BEYOND during the week that she took care of our three dogs. They had a few accidents in our home but she was patient, and helped us take care of the mess. Our dog threw a fit when we ran out of dog toppers and she went to purchase some for him. If you want a dog sitter who TREATS YOUR PETS LIKE HER OWN - HIRE HER! Thank you Daniella for taking the best care of our dogs.

Absolutely wonderful sitter! She took such great care of our two elderly dogs while we were away last week. She was attentive, caring, and kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pups. We would definitely book her again! ❤️

I could not recommend Andrea enough! Finding someone I trust with my dog is not easy because he’s a little crazy and gets anxious around strangers. I’m always nervous leaving him with someone new, but Andrea has been incredibly kind, patient, and understanding with him. She took the time to earn his trust and made me feel so much more comfortable while I was away. She also went above and beyond when my flight was unexpectedly canceled and was able to accommodate an extra drop-in visit at the last minute, which took so much stress off my shoulders. I’m so grateful for the care she gave my pup and would absolutely book with Andrea again. If you’re looking for someone who is patient, reliable, and genuinely cares about the animals she watches, I can’t recommend her enough!

When I returned home and saw my dog thriving, I knew I had found someone who genuinely cares. Kelly gave my Bulldog exceptional attention, going far beyond basic care. Knowing each visit was full of affection, bonding, and thoughtful support allowed me to be away with complete peace of mind. I’m truly touched and so appreciative of Kelly’s dedication

Was so patient with my anxious pup. She was able to gain her trust and successfully walk her. So communicative and a pleasure to speak to. I will be booking anytime I’m out of town and she’s available. She sent lots of pics and a sweet message when my dog finally allowed her to slip on the leash! 100/10 🤩🤩🤩

Samuel has been sitting for both our dog and cat for over a year and has been wonderful. We have used him for home boarding and drop in visits at our home in the west side and he is always great with communication, reliable, and does great with our pets. We have been very satisfied!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
