“Lola had a wonderful day with Karen. She treated Lola just like family, giving her so much love, affection, and attention. Karen was able to send updates and pictures of Lola throughout the day. I know Karen will be my first go-to person to care for my little angel. I recommend Karen wholeheartedly! She’s wonderful!”

“Wen was wonderful with our whoodle! Our dog enjoyed playing with her dogs and running around her backyard. Wen was very accommodating with our schedule. We will definitely be calling on her again whenever we need day camp!”

“I really appreciate Juan for being able to take my dog for a day of day care at the last possible minute. We had came in from out of town which added to my nerves about leaving him in someone's care but Juan sent me constant updates of Clue playing and enjoying himself while in his care. If we are ever in town again and need services, we will definitely reach out! Thanks again!!”

“Cecelia was great with our pup! We were coming from out of town and needed someone to watch our dog for a few hours while we attended a funeral. Cecelia was very communicative and kept our dog entertained while we were away - she even sent photos of the fun :) If we lived in this area, we would definitely use Cecelia again!”

“Ann was amazing. She was consistently in communication with me about Vader and how he was doing. Very active in responding and took very great care of Vader. Thank you so much Ann ♥️”

“This was Shaggy’s first day of doggy daycare, so I was understandably a little anxious. Alexis was wonderful from start to finish. She took the time to answer my questions, helped me feel comfortable, and treated Shaggy with kindness and care throughout the day. I really appreciated the updates and photos, and it was clear that she was attentive to his needs and focused on making sure he had a positive experience. Shaggy came home happy, and I came away feeling very confident in Alexis’s care. I’m grateful for the peace of mind she gave me and would happily book with her again.”

“This was our first time using Rover and our experience was absolutely amazing. Lorena took such great care of my fur baby while I was in San Antonio for a doctor's appointment. Lorena took her for walks, fed her, and documented all the care my fur baby received while she was in her care. I also received several photos of my dog during her stay with Lorena. She also went above and beyond by giving me a note card and doggy toy for my fur baby as a parting gift It is so nice to be able to travel with my dog and have exceptional care available when she can't be with me. We will definitely be booking with Lorena again when we are back in San Antonio in the fall.”

“The dog sitter was friendly and attentive, providing great care for my dog, Gigi. They took her on regular walks and made sure she had plenty of playtime, including with their own dog. Gigi seemed to have a wonderful time and was well looked after during her stay. Highly recommended!”

“Sabrina did a great job taking care of Prince. Everything went smoothly, and my dog was well looked after and comfortable. Communication was clear, and I appreciated knowing my dog was in good hands. I’d definitely be happy to use her again and would recommend Sabrina to others!”

“Honey had an amazing time. She was well taken care of and happy. I recieved multiple updates throughout the entire day letting me know she was doing well. She had all the attention and breaks she needed. All of the family and dogs were very welcoming which made Honey's first stay away from home even more successful. In just one visit this has become Honey's second home. Breanna and her family make sure all dogs needs are met and go above and beyond to ensure the dogs are happy and owners are at ease with updates. Honey will be back and I would recommend Breanna and her family to anyone looking for daycare or even a long stay.”

“Look no further and contact Candace! Georgie is a special needs dog with a ridiculous amount of energy and separation anxiety. When Candace opened the door and got right on the ground to greet her, Georgie bounded in and never looked back. Candace and wonderful Jimmy and their family are pure dog people. Their home is dog heaven with outside access all the time, toys, cozy dog areas, soft couches and humans always available. Their adorable dogs are super friendly and welcoming. I can’t say enough how loving and sweet Candace and Jimmy are. Georgie loved them and I grew concerned she wouldn’t leave!!! Candace has a lifetime of experience and an unequaled passion for dogs. I loved her pictures, updates and instant responses. Georgie is just this second interrupting to ask if she could go back this week...”

“Jennafer was absolutely amazing with my dog, Gary! He had such a great time playing with her dog Duke, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. She even gave Gary a bath, which was such a thoughtful extra touch. I really appreciated how caring, reliable, and accommodating she was, especially on short notice. I highly recommend Jennafer — 10/10 whether you need a quick last-minute sitter or regular Monday through Friday care. Gary came home happy, clean, and well cared for!”

“Always, always, always love our time with Katy and her family. The pups almost always want to stay with her when I go to pick up. I can’t recommend Katy enough!!”

“WOW ! Andrea is AWESOME. my first time using Rover. My first time raising a puppy. Andrea gave me great piece of mind. Over 10 videos throughout the day. Adira (my pup) appeared super happy and WAS super happy when I picked her up. Not to mention this was a last min. need. Andrea is hands down the best. Highly Recommended and the only sitter I will consider in the future. Oh, in 1 day, Andrea taught Adira to sit on command. Priceless!!!!”

Whether your pup needs a walk, some playtime, or loving care while you’re away, I’m here to help! I provide reliable, caring, and personalized attention to make sure your furry friend feel and are safe and happy. Pet Owner Pet & WildLife Rescuer Volunteer Foster Addition references included in photos. I Love All “My” Doggies 🐶 & Kitties 🐱!! 🥰 I also have experience with bunnies, birds, aquatics, and reptiles. I have a flexible schedule and am home often with the exception of errands, appointments or other Rover (and non~Rover side jobs), throughout the day and week. Any exceptions to my availability is regularly updated on my Rover calendar. House/pet sitting; I am available to discuss this option, but as a pet parent, can be challenging to accept but I definitely will work with you on the details, to make sure everybody’s taken care of in a timely manner, ie potty breaks. I have done pet care in my home along with overnight stays at client’s homes. I have also done dog/puppy and kitten fostering for local area shelters since 2019, as well as on my own, rescuing countless pets and reuniting lost pets with their owners, for decades. I treat all animals the same way I would want mine treated. Your beloved pet becomes THE VIPet, in my home. My pets are fully vaccinated and on monthly flea and tick preventative. I am relatively new to Rover as a pet care provider. True to my nature and love for animals I fall in love and care for each, and every one, I care for in and outside of my home. For dog walking services: Summertime: I prefer before 11 AM or after 7 PM, to avoid excessive overheating of your pet and the ground and when there is normally shade throughout the typical neighborhood in which they can be walked.
About: Hi! I’m Fernanda. I care for a maximum of two dogs per day to give each one my full attention and love. I spend 24 hours a day with them (yes, 24!) and take them to different parks so they can explore, sniff around, and have fun. Their walk schedule is pretty active: 5am, 10pm, 3pm, 7pm, and 11:30pm — because there's never a dull moment here! I also send two photos and one video daily, so you can feel at ease seeing how happy and comfortable your pup is. Is your dog shy or needs their own space? No problem! I can keep them separated from my own dogs. If they have trouble sleeping alone, I’ll stay close so they feel safe. They’re welcome on the couch, on the bed, and of course, they’ll receive all the love, patience, and cuddles they need to feel at home. Important: I speak only Spanish, but my husband speaks both Spanish and English — so if you need to communicate in English, we’ve got you covered! I provide 24/7 care for your dog, with daily walks to parks, regular updates, and lots of love and attention in a safe, homely environment. In my home, your dog will enjoy a safe, calm environment with plenty of space to play. I provide 24/7 supervision, daily walks, and constant updates.
“Christopher was an amazing choice for me and my family when we needed a dog sitter as we visited Six Flags. Great communication and updates during his care for our fur baby.”

“I felt safe and relieved leaving mimi for work and boarding while i was out of town. Marisa is very accommodating with my random time to drop off and pick up mimi, and mimi instantly became comfortable around Marisa’s family. I highly would recommend her! 100/100”

Elisabeth and Gary took great care of Jet. He stayed in their home for the day and came home exhausted from playing so much. They took great care to make sure he would get along with their pack safely. Jet is a puppy and needs more supervision than an adult and I can tell they watched him carefully in play sessions with other pups. When they faced an issue with Jet not wanting to take naps, they let me know immediately but also had the experience/knowledge on what to do. They are both very experienced with dogs and I would trust them to watch Jet in the future.

We were at total ease knowing Karen was taking care of our boy for a few hours while we went to a Spurs game. From the moment we met for the meet and greet, we could tell Karen is purposeful and attentive while creating a safe and comfortable environment for her fur-guests. Her home is set up perfectly and you can tell she truly cares about what she does. Communication is top notch! We can’t wait to book with her again!

Christopher sensed my hesitation from day 1 and he reassured me that Zeno would be in the right hands. He certainly was. Christophers professionalism and kindness made for a great week for Zeno. He provided regular updates and made sure that Zeno had everything he needed, food, water, trips outside. Would definitely highly recommend him!

Arianny and her partner took great care of Ozzie while I was at dinner. He made a new friend and watched movies and chilled. She was patient with feeding him (multiple attempts) and took him out for a quick walk. Ozzie was very comfortable with his visit and went right into their house without looking back. Given the last minute nature of my booking I was super happy to find such great care.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Shavano Park commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
