“I cannot say enough great things about Dawn’s doggie day care! They are the kindest people who love my pup as much as I do (which I wasn’t sure was even possible)! When I drop my puppy off, I know he is going to receive all the love and attention he needs and the picture updates are frequent and wonderful...I end up showing my friends all the pictures because he looks like he is having so much fun! I HIGHLY recommend this sitter!”

About: For over 20 years, I’ve owned and cared for several types of animals. I provide a luxury service for your pets, often cleaning and going above & beyond for you and your furry family. With patience and love, I’m your go-to gal for your pet care needs! I currently am stepping away from corporate America to pursue higher education. Although school is full-time, its online and I have a ton of flexibility. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, with a fenced back yard. My neighbors do not own dogs, so your pups and mine can roam out back safely and freely!
“Very warm and welcoming hosts ! Had a nice and spacious yard for my dogs to run in. They also were very understanding when I was running behind in traffic. Will definitely be booking again soon!”

About: I’ve had a dog in my home almost every day of my very long life! I have assisted my housemate in caring for dogs both in and out of our home for the last five years. I am currently retired, so I am available most of the time. As long as we can keep to a schedule, all will be great! I have a very large fenced yard and a medium sized dog eager to make new friends so they can run and play. Then afterwards they can stretch out on the furniture for a nap

About: Hey yall! My name is Dorothy and I'm a Florida transplant enjoying my time exploring Texas! I'm a lifelong animal lover with plenty of experience caring for pets, including fostering animals in need. At home, I have a sweet cat named Cairo and an energetic puppy named Pharaoh, who loves making new friends. I treat every pet as if they're my own, providing lots of love, playtime, and attention. Whether your furry family member needs care, cuddles, or a playmate, I'm here to help and make them feel at home! I've decided to take pet sitting on as I'm saving up to go back to school this year! After losing my mom to cancer back in April 25, I've found myself reignited to go back to school and complete my degree as well as buy a car. I'd love to reach my goals in my favorite way, being surrounded by loving furry babies who I can pour attention and love into. Excited to work with you 💕🥰 Looking forward to meeting your pets! I work full time from home so I have plenty of time and attention to give to your sweet babies 🤍 They'll get plenty of walks and potty breaks! I make dog park runs twice a day as there is a park right next to my home. My community has a dog park, walking trail 6 mins away, and I have a fenced in porch area to hang out outside when the weather is nice! I don't have any kids and my home is kept clean so no chances of your babies eating something or getting hurt 🤍
“Lorena is a gem! Super a fun personality! We were a bit nervous to leave our dog, but upon meeting Lorena, our minds were put at ease. She is sweet, caring, and most importantly, passionate! Your dog will go on so many walks with her! Highly recommend.”

“Jennifer is so amazing. I got a 9 week old husky puppy and I couldn't bare to leave her at home while I'm at work. I talked to several sitters before landing on Jennifer. Akasha my husky is a big baby and constantly needs cuddles attention and potty breaks. Jennifer is soooo amazing with her Akasha gets so excited when she sees we're at Jennifer's for daycare. Her tail goes crazy and she starts running all over. Jennifer loves akasha and akasha loves her she takes such great care of her and treats her like her own dog. If you have ANY second thoughts on who to care for your fur baby look no further Jennifer should be your only choice! I have a recurring weekly daycare with Jennifer for akasha and I know if I have to go out of town who to board her with! Thank you so much for being so amazing Jennifer!!”

Dorothy was very easy to work with- great communication and flexible with my schedule. I even had an emergency on my back to pick him up, she was incredibly understanding and accommodating. Bailey came back exhausted- he clearly had a great day! I would definitely book again!

Brenda is such an awesome sister for my boy Max, she's very accommodating and taking care of him. The best sitter I've ever had on here. I recommend her to anyone, she will take good care of your fur babie(s). Thank you so much Brenda for taking care of Max for me, really appreciate it.

Samantha did an excellent job caring for my two dogs. Prior to their arrival, she asked me for details to better understand how to best care for them based on their personality and age. She kept me updated and shared photos. She was also very observant and brought to my attention something I had not noticed about my older dog, which I really appreciate. I highly recommend her.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
