Rover sitters since 2016. Mature animal lovers. We have one 15lb. female dog and four cats. Our Maltese mix is an active yapper and has anxiety so initially gets anxious during introductions but after a few moments tolerates most dogs she has come in contact with. Not accepting huskies as they don't like her anxious energy. We are accepting dogs that tolerate being around cats. One of our cats love dogs so he will come around and say hello and share space. We cannot entertain high energy dogs. Your dog must be calm, gentle and friendly with other dogs and cats.

I booked Jennifer and David on short notice, less than 24 hours before my stay, and they responded super fast and were available right away. Since my dog Bento recently had surgery on his paw and needs some extra care, I always feel a bit anxious leaving him with someone new — but they were extremely attentive and careful with his needs. They sent photos throughout the whole stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. When I picked Bento up, he was calm and relaxed, which told me he was really well taken care of. They even left the sweetest little note for us 🥰. I highly recommend them and will definitely book with them again next time I’m in San Antonio!
Everything about the process was easy and I felt confident leaving my dog with Jennifer. She sent pics regular and would definitely recommend.

About this sitter: Going away always make you feel like you have abandoned your babies and want the confidence that their care will be met. We have a very flexible schedule. Multiple visits daily for in home visits are not a problem. Providing daily updates and pictures help with your confidence and we will help make you feel at ease about your experience.

Why we love dog sitting: All our lives, have a love for animals. We've cared for our own dogs and cats the last 37 years. We are aware of what foods to avoid, we make our dog homemade meals and all our animals drink filtered water. We won't ignore constant scratching or other abnormal behavior and will address any concerns no matter how mundane it may be.

A typical day
Time we will spend with your dog: All of our time which is all day and all night. Extra house-sitting service to be completed by Jennifer: We have plants and with this heat they need watering. Yes, of course, I can take care of yours. Check your mail, bring in or put out trash. Bring in newspapers. Adjusting lights or blinds. Have a cat or cats that need looking after. Have lots of experience with cats as well. We have 4 cats in our household.. Litter boxes don't clean themselves and, in my opinion, require daily cleaning.

- Is there separation anxiety? How do they behave when left for a short period? They should be current on vaccines and be on flea prevention. Have their food supply sufficient for their needs and let us know about their feeding schedule. Smell fresh and note this is our home and we may have many dogs at once so they may not go home smelling good anymore depending on circumstances like longer haired breeds that can't have frequent baths. We will use shampoo free spray or wipes to keep odor at bay as best as we can. We treat our guests with bite sized carrots, apples or homemade treats. We will get the occasional pup cup. Have some limitations so we cannot entertain an energetic dog. We do own 4 cats so if your dog reacts to cats in a negative way we are not the dogsitters for your boarding needs. We're open to testing that theory through meet and greets but you know your dog better than us. Use good judgment.
