“Lauren was great and sent lots of cute pictures. She worked with me in very short notice with my last minute plan changes. She was always very responsive and let me k ow my dog was ok and in great hands!”
“Michael and Alice are great! I love the videos they send - I can tell my dog is having a great time and getting lots of good play time in with other dogs. Definitely recommend!”

“Tambre, her daughter Emily and dog Duke were marvelous! My Briggie loved his stay and I don't believe wanted to come home. Tambre is very professional and has a deep understanding of pet caring. I will definitely use this wonderful team again! ”

“We will never leave our pups anywhere else other than Tamera. She lives our dogs as if they were her own. Makes traveling so much better when you know your babies are being well taken care of!”

“Melissa was awesome! Bella is my rescue dog that I have only had for a couple months. I needed someone to watch her at the last minute and Melissa jumped right in to help me. Bella is still very apprehensive because of her previous life. When we dropped her off, she was very anxious which made us worry about leaving her. Melissa knew exactly how best to care for her. She immediately put my mind at ease by letting me know how she was doing and taking pictures and videos. She also took Bella on 2 walks a day - which she loves. Because of Melissa I was able to enjoy my weekend out of town and not worry about how Bella was doing. I will definitely use Melissa again in the future.”

“This is the second time that Lili has taken care of Ellie. Once again, we were so happy with the care and love our Ellie received. We will definitely rebook for future vacations. Thank you!!”

“Charline has watched our dog chase at least 3 times and has been wonderful. We often give her very short notice and has always been very accommodating. She sends us pictures regularly and makes our dog very comfortable. We will use Charline any and every time, highly recommended!”

“Daniela took such good care of my dog for a few days. She even dropped her off and my doggy was smiling! She kept me updated with pictures and video a few time a day everyday. Don’t let one bad review discourage you! My dog is spoiled rotten like any other dog that is loved. She loved my dog like her own! Will use her again.”

“Patti was very professional and committed to make me feel calm and relaxed by leaving Bibi with her. She sent me pictures and reports during their care. I absolutely will book with her with no doubt if I needed to. Thank you Patti”

“Ben and Alison were the best dog sitters we have ever had! So attentive, kind, and thoughtful. They both work at home and have a safe and calm environment for dogs. They sent videos and photos daily, with a little description of the day. Incredible experience and they are now our go-to sitters.”

“Chelsea and Ryan, were so good to our pups, Mia and Layla. She walked them a few times a day, sent pictures and kept us in touch with our dogs, on a long work trip. They came home happy and we definitely plan on return boarding stays, this year and beyond. Thanks Chelsea! Ed and Lucia.”

“Omg she is amazing. We were on vacation and didn’t even had to worry as she communicated with us each day, sent pictures and made sure our baby boy was taken care of.”

“Cindy is an amazing fur baby care taker! I will continue to use her as long as she allows me to. I received updates daily with pictures. I will recommend Cindy to everyone who needs a loving, caring fur baby caregiver!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Live Oak
This was my first time using Karynne and having my cats stay at someone else’s home, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. My cats are usually quite anxious, and one is diabetic, making new situations and strangers particularly challenging. Karynne demonstrated exceptional patience and a genuine commitment to making them feel comfortable. She went above and beyond to gain their trust, and her consistent updates and adorable photos truly put my mind at ease. It’s clear she has a special touch with animals, and I’ll definitely be using her services again! ☺️

We've had our 2 doggies with Miss Dawn three times now. First time was last summer. We wanted to test it out for 1 night to ensure our dogs wouldnt give her a hard time. We were mainly worried about sugar. Shes the most hyper one. Lol. They did great so we ended up booking with her for 5 days I believe it was. And they did great as well. Then this past weekend they stayed with her again. She communicates very well and handles our Sugar very well also. Sugar is the main one we worry about with being around other people cuz she doesnt believe in boundaries. Lol. Coco is super chill so shes laying down relaxing in almost all the photos miss dawn sends us when she messages us with daily updates. Earlier today sugar came to me with her harness hanging from her mouth. I got up and she walked to the garage door. I believe she wanted to leave the house. I asked her if she was trying to leave back to Miss Dawn's house, and she jumped at the door with excitement haha!! Definitely recommend!!! Thanks again Miss Dawn!

Tiffanie is a great sitter! She sent me lots of updates when I was out on my trip and was super flexible with my availability. She’s awesome and goes above and beyond for your pet’s comfort especially if they are a larger breed like Apollo. 10/10 experience, I recommend her for your fur babies!

Devyn will forever be my go to sitter for my baby! She takes care of her so well- I know my dog is able to relax and enjoy herself whenever she’s at Devyn’s home. Devyn sends lots of messages and pictures so I get to know what she’s up to. Devyn will love your pet like they’re her own baby. Super huge trust and thanks to Devyn for being the best sitter for my baby!

Finding Lorena to watch my fur babies was a true blessing! She took amazing care of my pups (2 rambunctious German shepherds) and was in constant communication with updates and pictures! She treated them as if they were her own….they definitely enjoyed their time at “camp” Lorena!! 🥰 Highly, highly recommend! Thank you, Lorena (and family) for taking such amazing care of my fur babies!! ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
