I graduated from SIU with a Bachelors in Animal Science pre vetmed in 2013 and was recently the Hospital & Medical Program Manager of a no-kill animal shelter until ‘13-‘21. I am now an Animal Services Manager and have a wife who works from home fulltime who’s also on Rover and is happy to help care for cats or dogs if I’m at work 5 mins away. Previously, I was a lead surgical veterinary technician, foster coordinator, intake coordinator, and adoptions manager at the no-kill shelter for 8+ years, and would love to help out by caring and giving your pet my undivided attention! I specialize in special needs. I am confident caring for elderly, immobile, sick, and fearful/reactive, pets that require medication or special attention. I'm very responsible, respectful, trustworthy, and hard working. Good for last minutes stays or plan changes if you need an extra day or so that would be no problem. It'd be my pleasure to spend time with your pup(s)! While working with dogs my entire life I'm sure I'd be the perfect match for you and your pet!

Excellent care and communication. Janette was welcoming to both my daughter, myself and Angel. They kept us up to date on my dog’s activity and I felt great about using their services. I would most definitely re book.
I had a great experience with this sitter! She took amazing care of my dog and made the whole process stress free. I really appreciated the updates and photos, it gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in good hands. My dog can be a slightly energetic but she handled him and everything so well and made sure he was comfortable and cared for. I would absolutely book with them again!

Janette was absolutely amazing! Our pup loved having her for drop-ins and didn’t seem to miss us at all with the stellar care given from her! She will be our go to if possible for all future needs! Thank you again for taking such great care of her!!🙂
If I could give a million reviews for Janette I definitely would! She went absolutely above and beyond to care for our boys, Chibby and Jack, and allowed us to be able to completely relax and enjoy our holiday. Something we never have been able to do. I'll have her back again every time!

Why I love dog sitting Since I was born grew up with many dogs, cats, small animals, and reptiles. I love animals and have been working at my no kill shelter for several years as a surgical vet tech and couldn't be happier saving so many lives.

Here's where we'll take our walks I love going on hiking trails and there are many grassy areas around my home to walk dogs. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Where ever you would like. On the bed, in the room, in a crate, where ever is best and most comfortable. Time I'll spend with your dog As much as you would like. Time I'll spend with your dog As much as the owner would like me to, I would not mind spending all day with the dog(s).
