“Kristen was an excellent dog sitter! She and her family were very kind enough to allow me to tour their home where my dog would be staying. I am very impressed with how responsive she was in our communications. Also, I appreciated the photo updates of how my dog was doing! Will definitely be visiting again in the near future.”

“Cassie was amazing and very attentive to Dirk. Cassie was very responsive and respectful when communicating with me. I appreciate her time and patience. Thank you so much cassie”

“Thank you so much Nereyda. So happy that Bo gets to stay with you when we come to San Antonio. I know he feels right at home and he’s so well taken care of. Super grateful as always!”

About: I offer reliable, in-home pet sitting services designed to keep your pets comfortable, safe, and stress-free while you’re away. Services include feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, medication administration if needed, and lots of attention and care. I treat every pet as if they were my own and provide updates for your peace of mind. I have 2 dogs of my own. Because I work part-time, I’m able to be very present and attentive if your fur baby stays with me. Availability is limited, so advance booking is recommended. I have a large, fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time. For pets that are primarily indoor dogs, please provide their kennel for overnight sleeping. Dogs will also have access to a doggie door leading to the backyard.
“Cindy is so great to work with! She made both Archie and I feel comfortable right away. Her home is well fenced and dog friendly. I think Archie knew right away that she is a dog lover. :) We will definitely be returning. PS: She sent me an adorable photo of my pup enjoying his play day.”

“Celeste was awesome. I dropped off my baby the same day and she came back with a smile on her face so I know she had fun. Will definitely be dropping off again in the future”

“Thalia was very kind and was willing to keep the house at a comfortable temperature for our winter dogs in the summer heat. We received lots of pictures and our dogs had a great time with her. Would definitely rebook/recommend.”

About: Hello! I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 12. From my 4 childhood pups I took care of, to my happy go lucky pup I have now, I’m well versed in feeding, walking, playing with, administering meds and many other needs your pet may need. :-) I currently work full time 0900- 230 Monday through Friday. My schedule is pretty flexible. I love to play with and love on my pet and will do the same for yours. I’m available weekends all day, and weekdays after 3. I have a fenced in back yard with plenty of room to run around. I have one friendly fur baby to keep your fur baby company! I can easily crate your dog and administer any meds as needed.
“Stephanie was everything we were looking for in a sitter. She communicated well, and her home is perfect for our particular schnauzer. Stephanie sent us wonderful pictures of Zora and made sure to keep to Zora’s schedule. We will definitely leave our baby in her care again without a doubt.”

“Janette was very responsive as soon as I inquired about her availability. As soon as I booked her, she continued to be responsive and was very friendly. The day I dropped my Lucy off for day care, Janette was very understanding, due to the fact that my Lucy has been out of her element the last couple of weeks as we had recently sold out home and had been moving from a friends home to another friends home, finally settling into our extended stay until our new home is built. So Lucy has not been in her normal routine and a little clingy than normal. But Janette was understanding and very caring and accommodating. She was awesome with Lucy. We will definitely be using her again!”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every pet. I don’t just stop by to feed them or take them on a walk, I spend time getting to know their personality, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ve been caring for pets since I was in high school through dog walking, pet sitting, and house sitting, and I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters. As a pet owner myself to both a French Poodle Toy and a cat, I understand how important it is to have someone you can completely trust with your furry family member. I’m dependable, patient, and detail-oriented. Whether it’s sticking to your pet’s routine, cleaning up after them, refreshing water bowls, scooping litter boxes, or giving them plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention, I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make sure your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for until you return. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m currently earning my graduate degree through a fully online program, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available every day for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and overnight care. Because my classes are online, I can easily adjust my schedule to meet your pet’s needs and make sure they receive the time, attention, and care they deserve. I believe pets are happiest when they feel safe, comfortable, and loved, so I always do my best to keep them on their normal routine. In my client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications (if needed and instructed), and any special routines your pet is used to. I also make sure they receive plenty of affection, companionship, and exercise based on their personality and energy level. I treat every home with the same respect I would my own by keeping things clean, secure, and tidy. I’ll provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is for your pet to feel happy, relaxed, and well cared for until you return home.

“Tambre is an absolute blessing! We were visiting from out of town and Tambre took care of our boy while we explored the area each day. I was a little nervous leaving our boy with other dogs, because he gets anxious at times. But after a meet-and-greet, Tambre said she had no concerns. Tambre sent several pictures throughout the day, every day, and our boy always seemed to be having a great time playing with new friends. Tambre has a special gift for pet-care, and I'm grateful that we found her! This was our first experience with rover.com and leaving a pet with anyone other than family, and Tambre made it amazing. Thank you so much, Tambre!”

About: I've been working with animals for the past 5 Years! I started as a dog daycare attendant for a year where I learned how to read dog body language and behavior as well as how to handle emergency situations with dogs. I then became a full time pet sitter on my own and would watch all kinds of animals from household reptiles, small animals, cat, and of course dogs! After 1 year of this I switched to part time sitter to become a full time dog trainer! I trained for a year before becoming a manager at a pet hotel. I love my job to this day and still care for dogs and cats at my current job! I'm currently a stay at home mom for my babies so I am always home a ready to provide care! I usually (as weather permits of course) take a morning walk between 8-10am with my dog and my boarding friends, hang out around the house and backyard until our evening walk before bed around 8-10pm after the sun is down! I am constantly boarding dogs in my home so I do have extra crates if needed otherwise I only have 1 dog of my own who is a St. Bernard and is pretty lazy so he will be there to keep my boarding dogs company but also knows to nap if the other dogs need a break from playing. When I go to clients homes I always find a way to occupy my time with my clients and keep my attention on those animals!
“Abbie and Patrick have been great! It was a last minute two full days due to the crazy schedule changes going on right now! So we were super grateful and what comes to mind the most is the phrase “a tired puppy is a happy puppy”! Coco knocked out as soon as she got home to her bed, which just reassures me she had a super fun day and was well taken care of the entire time. Great communication and lots of pretty pictures! We will definitely turn to Abbie again if she will have our little Coco back ?”
About: I grew up in a home that had a lot of pets & am comfortable with different animals. We had dogs, cats, birds, fish, mice, a rat, chameleons, rabbits & turtles. I was taught to love & respect animals. My belief is that pets are important family members & deserve TLC. I currently have 2 senior cats & a betta fish. My oldest cat is 17 & I have had her from 6 weeks old & she is still going strong. I have traveled by plane multiple times to do long term pet sitting for people because they trusted me in their home. I follow caregiver recipes & am willing to cook special dietary meals for dogs & cats while home sitting. I have thrown fur babies birthday parties with hats, presents & birthday “cake.” I send daily photos & videos so you have peace of mind that your fur baby is happy & healthy in your absence. I go the extra mile to take care of furry family members while they’re in my care. I have a small home based business, so I have the flexibility to give to your family member the time & attention they need. I start my day early. I believe in daily walks for active dogs, scooping litter boxes daily & set meal & snack times. Play & affection is an important part of animal enrichment so we will have lots of play time & snuggling. We will send you pictures & I am also willing to FT so you can have a quick chat with your fur baby. All animals need attention, care & play to truly thrive. Your family member will be welcome & treated like extended family while they are with me. I have extensive experience with animals & know how to respect their personal boundaries & when to give attention. I like to keep things tidy & am punctual. I have no problem vacuuming daily for medium or long hair breeds. I do scheduled feedings, walks for active dogs, daily litter box cleaning, snuggles & pets, grooming & playtime for pets to be healthy & happy. I will send pics & videos as often as you request & will FT weekly while your fur baby is in my care. I am happy to care for your pet and home as if it were my own.
“Pamela was great with our two fur babies. She sent videos to let us know how things were going on their first play date. She made us feel very comfortable and took great care of Daisy and Dewey.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Universal City
Most likely for everyone, their pets are their babies and after a horrible experience with another sitter, I felt very comfortable and assured the whole time my fur baby was with her. She was very communicative and even was able to help out with an unplanned drop off. I’m very happy with this experience

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
