“She cares just like family. She takes such good care of Quatro 💞. He loves going to her home. It’s clean and tidy which is very important to me. It brings me peace that I know that Quatro is being taken care of in such an excellent manner.”

“Kristen is so amazing! She is so caring, knowledgeable, and flexable when it comes to taking care of our puppy Atlas, we appreciate Kristen so much. Atlas always has such a great time and we love all the updates we receive throughout the day as well! Special thanks to Kristen and her family for always being our puppies home away from home. :)”

“Super caring and attentive pet sitter. I took my puppy to her three days a week so I could go to work. I could not stand thinking about leaving him at home alone when he was only eight weeks old. Elisa took him outside every couple of hours. She made sure he was loved and comfortable and did not have to cry it out. He is now 10 weeks old and strong enough to be on his own at home when I go to work but my doggie became good friends with her doggy and enjoys playing with other little doggies that come in for doggy daycare. So I’m going to continue bringing him to Elisa for as long as I possibly can. He lights up and gets so excited to see her when I drop him off. I know he is in good hands”

“We had a great meet in greet in advance of Koda's 1st Day Care booking. Abbie & Patrick are very kind and responsible people with a great fenced yard, 2 sweet poodles, a designated indoor space for dogs, and a nice home. During Koda's 1st Day Care stay, Abbie & Patrick were great! Easy drop off and pick up, they sent lots of pictures and updates, Koda had both inside and outside time, and even a short walk. Our pup Koda is well trained for his age, but he is only 1 year old, so he is still learning and easily distracted. Abbie, Patric, and their 2 poodles were very patient with Koda during his stay and we hope we can continue to work with them.”

“This couple is so great with Luna and very professional when it comes to her care. Top tier worry free services for my dog during my busy season is so much appreciated!!”

“We've always been hesitant about having someone our two girls don't know take care of them. Janette was willing to take the time to meet them a few days before to get acquainted with them to make sure they (and us) were comfortable. On the day where she took care of them, she provided constant updates and pictures and was extremely flexible when we got back a few minutes late due to the weather. The girls absolutely loved her. Very highly recommend Janette, we will definitely be using her services again soon!”

“Martina is a great pet sitter; and a very friendly and lovely lady! Our little Heidi enjoyed her stay at Martina's house very much. We were sent photos and general updates throughout the day which was much appreciated. Heidi went on walks and had lots of play - and cuddle times. We can highly recommend Martina and we will definitely trust her with our puppy next time we need a pet sitter. Thank you so much for the professional and caring experience!”

“Madi has been wonderful with our GSD puppy August! He is so excited and to see her in the morning, and he comes home happily exhausted from spending the day playing with her two puppies! I’m very appreciative of the love and attention Madi gives August. I highly recommend her!!”

She sent updates to keep us at ease that they were doing good, which helped us relax and enjoy our time away from them! My dogs came back excited and happy! “We are so happy to have found Juli on Rover! Our dogs couldn’t have been happier to snuggle all day with her, and the feeling seemed mutual! She also took care to make sure they had expended some energy before our long drive back home. She sent lots of pics and videos, which helped us feel at ease! About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for family and friends for many years and truly love being around animals. I currently have a friendly Goldendoodle puppy who loves other dogs and would enjoy having playmates during their stay. Because I work from home, your pet will receive lots of attention, supervision, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the day. We live on 2 peaceful acres in the country surrounded by farmland, giving dogs plenty of space to safely run, explore, and burn energy. Inside, pets are treated like family — couch cuddles are welcome! My goal is to make your fur baby feel comfortable, active, loved, and at home while you’re away so you can return to a happy, tired pup ready to relax and cuddle with you. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and already spend most of my day caring for my own Goldendoodle puppy. Your pet will have frequent potty breaks, playtime, outdoor exercise, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m available most weekdays and weekends and can be flexible with schedules when needed. We live on 2 peaceful acres in the country, so dogs have lots of space to safely run and play while still enjoying a calm, relaxing environment indoors. Pets are rarely left alone and are treated like part of the family during their stay. I can crate when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
