She cares just like family. She takes such good care of Quatro 💞. He loves going to her home. It’s clean and tidy which is very important to me. It brings me peace that I know that Quatro is being taken care of in such an excellent manner.

Abbie and Patrick have been great! It was a last minute two full days due to the crazy schedule changes going on right now! So we were super grateful and what comes to mind the most is the phrase “a tired puppy is a happy puppy”! Coco knocked out as soon as she got home to her bed, which just reassures me she had a super fun day and was well taken care of the entire time. Great communication and lots of pretty pictures! We will definitely turn to Abbie again if she will have our little Coco back ?

Cassie provided doggy day care while we were in town for a funeral. My 82 lb baby came home exhausted from playing with her golden. So thankful she had a fun play day that wore her our!

Sarah was a fantastic sitter for our Maltese. She kept us well-informed of how things were going with pictures and texts. Our dog was very excited to play with Sarah's Maltese and hang out with her family. We'll certainly use Sarah again for day care services!

About: I've been working with animals for the past 5 Years! I started as a dog daycare attendant for a year where I learned how to read dog body language and behavior as well as how to handle emergency situations with dogs. I then became a full time pet sitter on my own and would watch all kinds of animals from household reptiles, small animals, cat, and of course dogs! After 1 year of this I switched to part time sitter to become a full time dog trainer! I trained for a year before becoming a manager at a pet hotel. I love my job to this day and still care for dogs and cats at my current job! I'm currently a stay at home mom for my babies so I am always home a ready to provide care! I usually (as weather permits of course) take a morning walk between 8-10am with my dog and my boarding friends, hang out around the house and backyard until our evening walk before bed around 8-10pm after the sun is down! I am constantly boarding dogs in my home so I do have extra crates if needed otherwise I only have 1 dog of my own who is a St. Bernard and is pretty lazy so he will be there to keep my boarding dogs company but also knows to nap if the other dogs need a break from playing. When I go to clients homes I always find a way to occupy my time with my clients and keep my attention on those animals!

Kristen was an excellent dog sitter! She and her family were very kind enough to allow me to tour their home where my dog would be staying. I am very impressed with how responsive she was in our communications. Also, I appreciated the photo updates of how my dog was doing! Will definitely be visiting again in the near future.

Tambre was AMAZING!! I am very picky and a huge worry wart about how my dog is taken care of and I had absolutely no concerns when leaving my dog with her for daycare. My dog has had a hip surgery and needs to take it a little easier and get meds but Tambre got her her meds and gave my dog back to me happy and tuckered out (which was a blessing after a long workday). HIGHLY recommend!!

We are so happy to have found Juli on Rover! Our dogs couldn’t have been happier to snuggle all day with her, and the feeling seemed mutual! She also took care to make sure they had expended some energy before our long drive back home. She sent lots of pics and videos, which helped us feel at ease! Will 100% use again when we visit San Antonio next!

Janette was very responsive as soon as I inquired about her availability. As soon as I booked her, she continued to be responsive and was very friendly. The day I dropped my Lucy off for day care, Janette was very understanding, due to the fact that my Lucy has been out of her element the last couple of weeks as we had recently sold out home and had been moving from a friends home to another friends home, finally settling into our extended stay until our new home is built. So Lucy has not been in her normal routine and a little clingy than normal. But Janette was understanding and very caring and accommodating. She was awesome with Lucy. We will definitely be using her again!

About: What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give every pet. I don’t just stop by to feed them or take them on a walk, I spend time getting to know their personality, making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’ve been caring for pets since I was in high school through dog walking, pet sitting, and house sitting, and I’ve also volunteered at animal shelters. As a pet owner myself to both a French Poodle Toy and a cat, I understand how important it is to have someone you can completely trust with your furry family member. I’m dependable, patient, and detail-oriented. Whether it’s sticking to your pet’s routine, cleaning up after them, refreshing water bowls, scooping litter boxes, or giving them plenty of playtime, cuddles, and attention, I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make sure your pet is happy, comfortable, and well cared for until you return. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m currently earning my graduate degree through a fully online program, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to be available every day for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and overnight care. Because my classes are online, I can easily adjust my schedule to meet your pet’s needs and make sure they receive the time, attention, and care they deserve. I believe pets are happiest when they feel safe, comfortable, and loved, so I always do my best to keep them on their normal routine. In my client’s home, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, medications (if needed and instructed), and any special routines your pet is used to. I also make sure they receive plenty of affection, companionship, and exercise based on their personality and energy level. I treat every home with the same respect I would my own by keeping things clean, secure, and tidy. I’ll provide regular updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is for your pet to feel happy, relaxed, and well cared for until you return home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Garden Ridge commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,164 sitters in Garden Ridge, 88% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
