“I highly recommend Kimberly & Christopher, they did a great job taking care of my fur babies. I enjoyed the daily updates and pictures it made me feel at ease.”

About: I've been working with animals for the past 5 Years! I started as a dog daycare attendant for a year where I learned how to read dog body language and behavior as well as how to handle emergency situations with dogs. I then became a full time pet sitter on my own and would watch all kinds of animals from household reptiles, small animals, cat, and of course dogs! After 1 year of this I switched to part time sitter to become a full time dog trainer! I trained for a year before becoming a manager at a pet hotel. I love my job to this day and still care for dogs and cats at my current job! I'm currently a stay at home mom for my babies so I am always home a ready to provide care! I usually (as weather permits of course) take a morning walk between 8-10am with my dog and my boarding friends, hang out around the house and backyard until our evening walk before bed around 8-10pm after the sun is down! I am constantly boarding dogs in my home so I do have extra crates if needed otherwise I only have 1 dog of my own who is a St. Bernard and is pretty lazy so he will be there to keep my boarding dogs company but also knows to nap if the other dogs need a break from playing. When I go to clients homes I always find a way to occupy my time with my clients and keep my attention on those animals!
“Skylar was absolutely amazing taking care of my old girl. She was always on time and took a lot of photos. It meant everything to me knowing my pet was well taken care of while we were away. Thank you Skylar!!”

“Pamela was very kind and did her best to handle my dogs in the rain/mud. She communicated well and sent great pics. I felt bad because we left quickly and the house was a bit of a mess, but it all worked out. Thanks again for taking care of my dogs!!!”

“Kathy provided excellent drop in care for my cat and was flexible with the schedule when needed. She was also extremely professional and trustworthy. I think my cat misses her. I will certainly call on her again for her awesome service.”

“It was so great getting pictures from Jada while away to see that my dog was well taken care of. We have a large yard but Jada even went above and beyond taking him for a walk. Thanks Jada!”

“Kelsie replied quickly to my request to take care of my babies while I had to be away. She was on time and from the looks of the pictures and her comments my babies really enjoyed her company.”

“Emoni is simply a wonderful caretaker for my dog. My dog comes from abuse and is super reactive, but she took to Emoni quickly and they became fast friends. My anxiety about finding someone who can care for my pups when I’m unavailable has been squelched and I’m so glad I found her. Highly recommend her to anyone needing pup care.”

“Jan took such great care of Kitty, she sent great pictures and messages every day, I felt very confident that Kitty was doing well, everything was clean and tidy, I will definitely hire Jan again. Thanks Jan for taking great care of Kitty.”

“John is one of the most courteous and caring people I have met in awhile. Roxie loved him immediately and she is not always loving toward people. She loved his visits and was obviously in great spirits when we got home. I could watch them play in out backyard on our Ring camera. Thank you, John you are highly prized, and recommended for anyone in the Selma area.”

“Janette was awesome! The dogs really liked her right off the bat, and getting picture updates while away was nice. We will definitely use her services again in the future.”

“Cassie was amazing!! She took such great care of Berkeley and he loved having her kiddos help out too!! I was so happy to receive each update - Cassie is detailed and always had a good picture to send when we’re missing our boy 🥰”

“I was very pleased with Lauren's care of my 4 cats. She took good care of them and gave them lots of love and attention. Lauren was a last-minute replacement for my original Rover sitter but she proved to be very reliable and capable. I would book Lauren again.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats for over 5 years and genuinely love spending time with animals. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Garden Ridge. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
