“Highly recommended! Kimberley went above and beyond my expectations for drop in visits. I loved all the picture updates and I was happy that my kitties and plants were well care for. I look forward to booking with Kimberley again!”

“Kelsie was AMAZING! This was our first time using this service and it was the best decision we have ever made for our babies. She took care of them like they were her own. We have a challenging pup and she went above and beyond for us getting them hot dogs to try to get him to take his meds and really cared for all of them. We would absolutely use her again and are so grateful for all her energy and patience. She has excellent communication, and kept us very informed. We lived reading her updates. Don't think there is anyone who could of done a better job than her. Loved her.”

“What can I say? Austin was fantastic. He read our notes on our profile before he showed up, which was impressive. His excitement to meet the animals, which means a lot to us because they're kids, means more than the drop-ins. We wish we found him earlier. If you want someone who is very sharp and very on top of his visits, please don't look anywhere else. Austin is your guy!”
“Pam was very patient with my individual requests and prompt and responding to my text messages. She is a professional, timely and sent reports with photos every day. I would hire her to walk my dogs again.”

“Emoni is simply a wonderful caretaker for my dog. My dog comes from abuse and is super reactive, but she took to Emoni quickly and they became fast friends. My anxiety about finding someone who can care for my pups when I’m unavailable has been squelched and I’m so glad I found her. Highly recommend her to anyone needing pup care.”

“Our girls are tough with new people but they LOVED Ashley so much. She played with them and loved on them more than we do and they were so awesome when we got home! They had the best time with her and I would highly recommend using her!!”

About: I have been around animals my entire life, and have also owned or taken care of a wide array of types of animals. I have plenty of knowledge and experience to take great care of yours too. I work part-time. But I can best be of service in weekday afternoons/evenings. And also weekends on afternoons/evenings. Basically the second half of the day timeline works best for me. I care greatly for them, especially in terms of their physical health, mental health and overall wellbeing. I pride myself on creating a comfortable environment for animals to thrive.

“Ciara is amazing! I am so glad we found her. She was available on short notice and paid extra attention to our pup. She sent pictures with visits and asked about medications which helps put my mind at ease while we are away. 100% would recommend!”

“Elizabeth is great—does all requested care items and shares photos of what she’s done for my senior kitties. She has been available on very short notice as well! Highly recommend!”

“Cassie was amazing!! She took such great care of Berkeley and he loved having her kiddos help out too!! I was so happy to receive each update - Cassie is detailed and always had a good picture to send when we’re missing our boy 🥰”

“Philana is a true professional while also being very personable. She took great care of my 3 cats, plants, and was considerate in brining in a delivery. I booked with her very short notice, the day before, and she truly exceeded my expectations! Very thankful to her and the care she provided. 10/10 recommend!”

“I am so happy to have Angela cat sit for us! This is the second time we have had her watch our cats, and I know from her updates that they are well looked after. So lucky to have found her on Rover!”

About: I have two years experience working in a city animal shelter. Some of my duties while there were cleaning kennels, taking dogs outside and bathing them, and helping feed the animals. I worked with dogs, cats, reptiles, chickens, and even turkeys. I have disabled animals of my own that I take care of and a few that I foster. I have been dog sitting since I was little and also worked with horses and cattle. I also am studying to be a veterinarian and have knowledge of animals health. I am going to college full time for veterinary science but I always have time for pets! I can usually work after 10 am until late in the evening. I can crate dogs if needed, I have a few dogs of my own I crate. I also have a large fenced in yard. My dogs are feed every morning and evening on a schedule. I can also feed your dog on a schedule if needed. I won’t walk your dog from roughly 12pm to 2pm as the heat can affect an animals health greatly.
“Brianna was such a life saver. I know it can be overwhelming with my pit bulls but she handled everything so gracefully. One of my pups had an accident in her cage which is so unusual but Brianna went above and beyond to clean her and the cage out for me. I’m blessed to have had an amazing Rover helper. She is awesome! She adjusted to the pups so well. I’m sure they miss her already! Will definitely recommend her services!”

“This was my first time using this app, I was so nervous and anxious but Lauren made this experience so great for us. After her first drop when I saw how happy my babies were I knew they were in great hands! I can’t thank or recommend her enough!”

5/5 Stars – Highly Recommended! Elizabeth did an absolutely wonderful job taking care of my cat. From our very first interaction, it was clear that she is a true animal lover who treats pets with the utmost care and respect. She was incredibly reliable and followed all feeding and care instructions perfectly. What I appreciated most were the regular updates and photos she sent, which gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. My cat, who can sometimes be shy around new people, warmed up to her and enjoyed her attention. Elizabeth went above and beyond to make sure my cat felt safe, loved, and comfortable. I cannot thank Elizabeth enough for her exceptional service. I will absolutely be hiring her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate pet sitter!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Selma. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
