About: Animals have always been part of my life, from small pets to cats and dogs with all sorts of personality. My chihuahua is my little sidekick and does wonderfully with other pets. I’ve helped care for many friends’ and family members’ fur babies, and I’m committed to giving your pet the same comfort and attention I give my own. I work a typical 9 to 4 during the week, but I have flexibility on my lunch break for quick check‑ins when needed. I’m generally available after 5 PM for walks or visits, and my weekends are wide open for sitting, longer stays, or extra adventures and playtime. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I’m happy to adjust when I can to make sure your fur babies gets the attention they need. I have a clean, secure fenced‑in backyard that gives dogs plenty of space to relax, explore, and play safely. I live in a quiet culdesac neighborhood that’s not too busy, so walks are easy, calm, and enjoyable for pups of all energy levels. My own chihuahua is friendly, social, and great company for visiting pets. I also have an extra room with toys and a crate that can comfortably fit a medium‑sized dog if needed, so your pet will always have a cozy space of their own.
“Skylar was absolutely amazing taking care of my old girl. She was always on time and took a lot of photos. It meant everything to me knowing my pet was well taken care of while we were away. Thank you Skylar!!”

“This is our second time with Ashley. Our baby got sent to the NICU with an extended stay, we had to rebook last minute while we where staying at hospital. Ashley is an amazing person, super responsable and understanding. She took amazing care of our 2 cats and husky. She has been a blessing to us. Would 200% recommend her”

About: What sets me apart from other caretakers is the care and attention I give to every pet. Each pet is different they have there own personality and needs. I make sure that your pet feels loved, comfortable and is safe. I am dependable, patient, and committed to following your pets routine while keeping you posted for a piece of mind. I currently have a small business and I am a college student at UTSA. Right now I am on summer so I am flexible to walk your pet at any time. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, plenty of attention, and playtime when they want it. I also keep owners updated and make it a priority to be reliable, respectful of their home, and on time for every visit.
“This was my first time hiring someone I didn’t know to visit our dogs while my wife and I were at work, and Kelsie made everything so easy. It put our minds at ease seeing how professional she is and how good she is with our dogs. With 3 dogs, all with different behaviors, she handled herself well with them. Would definitely book with her again.”

“Pamela is wonderfully thorough and thoughtful! She always checks on everything for each visit, takes lots of pictures, and sends a summary after each visit. I’ve had her watch my cats twice and will definitely be doing so again in the future!”

“Jan is reliable and very caring with our special needs elder fur baby. She made it easy for us to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing that he was fully taken care of. Well definitely recommend and will use her in the future!”

“Kathy provided excellent drop in care for my cat and was flexible with the schedule when needed. She was also extremely professional and trustworthy. I think my cat misses her. I will certainly call on her again for her awesome service.”

“Cassie was amazing!! She took such great care of Berkeley and he loved having her kiddos help out too!! I was so happy to receive each update - Cassie is detailed and always had a good picture to send when we’re missing our boy 🥰”

“I had the pleasure of having Jade from Rover take care of my dogs this week, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Jade went above and beyond in ensuring the well-being of my furry companions. Will most definitely use her services again and I recommend her services.”

“Lauren was great!! She brought in a package ? of litter for me and used it to fill up the box, as I asked her to when cleaning it. Lauren was extremely patient and helpful with me when my schedule started spiraling out of control...lol ? I came home to very happy kitties, who were obviously well taken care of!! I will definitely use her next time!! ?”

“Eboni was amazing! She gave my cats excellent care, and kept me updated while I was away. She sent daily pictures, and took her time getting to know my cat’s personalities (they loved her). I would absolutely book with her again!”

“Janette took such great care of our cat and Bearded Dragon! I was worried that it would be difficult to find someone to care for our lizard, but she was well experienced and gave him excellent care. Our cat is also usually very timid around new people, but she warmed up to Janette very quickly. We can’t thank her enough for her excellent communication and treating our pets with care.”

About: I've been a dog owner for my entire life and currently have a 8 yr old rottie who is truly the apple of my eye. Caring for him has given me plenty of hands-on experience with large breeds, different energy level, feeding routines, meds, walks, playtime, and -of course- lots of hugs and kisses. I know how important it is to have someone you can genuinely trust with your pet. when they're in my care, I'll treat them with the same patience, attention, and love that I give my own fur baby. I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. whether your pet needs a walk, potty break, playtime, or simply company while you're away, I'm happy to follow their normal routine and make their time away from you as comfortable as possible. I also know how reassuring updates can be, so I'm more than happy to send photos and check-ins so you know your fur-baby is happy and well cared for. I'm free on weekends! I know errands and family functions typically happen on the weekends, I can be there to make sure your fur baby has company while you are busy. safety is above all for me. depending on your preferences, I can ensure proper leashing when walking or if your fur baby needs to be placed in a designated area or crate when leaving.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
