Pet care is seamlessly built into my daily routine. I work full-time remotely Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, allowing me to be home and available throughout the day for supervision, potty breaks, meals, and enrichment. My evenings and weekends are open and flexible to accommodate extended stays and special care needs. Additionally, my boyfriend works a 3:00 PM–1:00 AM shift, which creates overlapping coverage in the home and helps ensure pets are not left alone for long periods. This schedule allows me to provide a calm, attentive, and well-supervised environment, aligned with the level of care offered through Cozy Canine Retreat.

A typical day may include: Morning check-in & meals: We start with feeding and potty breaks, following your pet’s specific schedule. Exercise & playtime: Depending on your dog’s needs, this may include walks, one-on-one play, or calm enrichment activities. Mental stimulation: Interactive toys, scent games, and basic training exercises help keep pets engaged and happy. Rest & relaxation: A quiet, safe space is always available for naps or downtime. Afternoon & evening care: Meals, potty breaks, and supervised play continue throughout the day, with attentive care from myself and, occasionally, my boyfriend for additional coverage. Every activity is supervised, safe, and designed to keep pets comfortable, engaged, and happy—all in a home environment that feels familiar and stress-free.

My name is Sophia and I am the owner of Cozy Canine Retreat LLC, a home-based, insured, and personalized pet care experience built around calm, structured, and attentive care. I hold a degree in Animal Science along with Equine Business Management & Training, and I spent three years volunteering with a service dog organization, supporting basic obedience training and socialization. This background allows me to confidently work with a wide range of temperaments, routines, and care needs. At home, I care for four dogs, a horse, and a turtle, giving me daily, hands-on experience with animals of different sizes, energy levels, and personalities. My boyfriend and I provide care together, which allows for increased supervision and flexibility. Because we work different shifts, there is often someone available, ensuring pets receive consistent attention throughout the day. Through Cozy Canine Retreat, my goal is to provide a safe, calm, and thoughtfully curated care experience where every pet feels comfortable, secure, and well cared for.

Overall a great experience with Sophia and Kevin. I had concerns with Tex acting out in a different environment but everything turned out awesome! I received daily updates and pics of our babies which helped ease my time away from them! 10 out of 10!
This was our first time leaving our dogs with anyone and I was definitely nervous about it. After just the first evening, I felt completely comfortable. I got daily pics and updates which definitely made me feel at ease. I would recommend Sophia and Kevin!
