“Fern had a wonderful time playing with your dogs. She will definitely stay again in future. She got lots of snuggles and I received updates with photos during her stay.”

“Iuliia watched my two mini dachshunds and they had a great time. She took great care of them, sent lots of pictures and I will definitely leave them with her the next time I’m out of town.”

“Jake has had the best time with Chris, as per usual! I love knowing that our boy is safe and getting lots of love and playtime when we are away. Extremely grateful!”

“We had a great experience with Maricela's boarding care for our dog Rocky. She sent us updates often, and shared photos of Rocky with us. Rocky looked so happy and in good hands! Thank you so much Maricela. We will definitely use your pet service again.”

“Ollie had a great experience with Julie and Michael. Communication was great and they truly showed care and comfort for my pup. He can’t wait to return. Thank you!”

“Amber was very easy to communicate with, always answered within minutes. She sent pictures and updates, which were especially appreciated since our dog doesn't like fireworks, and she watched him over the 4th of July. She gave us great feedback on his behavior, and I would definitely ask her to watch our dog again.”

“We would recommend Emma to anyone needing dog boarding in the area. She sent plenty of pictures, was very quick to communicate, and treated our fur baby like he was one of her own. Tons of walks and playing with her own dog as well.”

“Gol and her daughter made my 2 dogs feel right at home and took amazing care of them over a 4 day period. I had planned to have them care for my younger, larger dog at first, but because of my dog's reactivity,I decided to board my 2 smaller, older dogs instead. Gol and her daughter were open to this last minute change, and took in my 2 older dogs with no hesitation . They accommodated me early in the morning, at 5:30 am, before my flight. I'm very thankful to have found such kind, compassionate sitters that are willing to work with your individual circumstances. I highly recommend them.”

“Marissa was a wonderful host to my girl. I get frequent updates, pictures, and videos of my pup playing and looking happy as a clam. I felt very fortunate to have had such an awesome sitter for my dog and peace of mind while I was away. Would definitely recommend Marissa for a short or long term stay!”

“Denise is a fantastic, caring sitter! She took wonderful care of our Harley and sent regular updates and photos! Her dog as well as the other boarders were very welcoming and the backyard is large and secure. Great experience!”

“Jade is so sweet! She had our 4 month old puppy for 4 nights and was very communicative and helpful throughout the whole process. My dog loved playing with her dog Hiccup and they did lots of fun activities together. Will be booking again!”

“Lacey is the absolute best. She took care of my pups for 5 days. She sent me photos everyday, took them on walks and her dogs are so playful and sweet. I wish I could give more stars than 5.”

“Brian was an incredible sitter to Winnie when I was out of the country for two weeks. He provided consistent updates and I could tell that Winnie was having a great time. It’s hard to find sitters you can trust but Brian is one of those sitters. I Would 100% recommend Brian to anyone and I look forward time having Winnie stay with him again.”

“Rich did great with my dog, ghost! I felt very comfortable leaving him with Rich after the initial meet and greet. I had a lot of photos sent to me and he checked in everyday to give updates.”

“Denise provided a loving, comfortable environment for my pup. Very good about his care, communicating with me, and all around professionalism. Will happily have her sit for us again!”

“Michelle is a warm and caring person who takes great care of my senior pup Maddie. Her little chihuahua Shelby is so sweet, gentle and affectionate. I feel very comfortable leaving Maddie here and appreciate the daily updates and photos.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Driftwood
Olga was an amazing caretaker for Sugar. Communicative and professional from the start. She genuinely cares about your pet and aims to make them feel at home. Sugar was well taken care of for almost a whole month while we were abroad. Could not recommend her more! She is kind & compassionate to both the owners and your pet. 5 stars!

Olga was such a blessing. Last minute.. and I MEAN least minute we needed to find someone to watch our cat for a wedding out of State. Within 20 minutes she communicated that she could take my kitty. The groom's dad brought 2 hunting dogs to the wedding house we were staying and I didn't feel he would be safe. I have never left him with anyone or used rover and we needed to have a solution in an hour. Olga and her husband immediately gave us the welcoming warm feeling that I knew kitty would be safe and enjoy their beautiful calm home. When we came to pick him up he was a little too comfortable and made his little ass right at home that echoed the photos my boyfriend got. Just what he needed before a long drive to Nashville and some chocolates Olga gave us which were devoured on the drive! Know your kitty will be safe and comfortable with Olga and her husband! Much love Olga from Florida. Till we meet again. Прощайте!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
