“So happy to have found Angie! She’s very responsive and kind! She made sure to send updates and is always communicating quick and clearly. We felt very comfortable leaving Lola and she seemed to have a blast with their family and dog.”

“Elizabeth was amazing with my doggies! Super communicative, flexible, and always quick to respond to any questions I had. I felt totally at ease knowing my pups were in great hands. I also appreciated the photo updates throughout the stay!!”

“Jourdan is so great with our pup Rose! Rose has tons of playtime, walks, pets, etc. We get some great photos too (ones that we save). She follows our requests for the sensitive tummy our pup has. Highly recommended :)”

“River had a great stay. He’s a high-energy chocolate lab, and they handled him really well. We got consistent updates and photos without having to ask, which I appreciated. He looked comfortable the whole time and got plenty of playtime and walks. Communication was easy and they were flexible with timing and his collar setup. Everything felt really smooth. Already booked with them again.”

“Stephanie is so amazing! She took such good care of Enzo and even took him hiking and on errands! I know he had a great time and we felt so at ease leaving him for the week! There’s no one better than Stephanie! ♥️”

“Brandy was amazing with Garfunkel, sending pictures and updates. It was obvious he was very comfortable with the stay and had a blast (and passed out the entire first day back from all the fun he had).”

“My baby, Archie, had a fantastic stay!!! This was the first time I’d left him with strangers and he and I felt right at home. I loved receiving my daily pics. To be honest, I think he’s now a little lonely without his friends to play with. We’ll have to go back soon!”

“If you are looking for a loving, caring and safe household to care for your fur baby, Michael and Julie are your caretakers! They provided outstanding care plus updates and photos of my dog playing with theirs and having a good time. Thanks again, Michael and Julie!! See you next time.”

“Lara is a dog whisperer and an absolute dream! I have a senior dog that I get nervous about leaving, and Lara completely put my mind at ease. She sent me tons of pictures, gave her so many walks and cuddles, and followed her routine to a T. She is now my go-to for dog sitting, I will absolutely use her again. She was reliable, so so sweet - overall incredible!!”

“Popcorn had another great stay with Lucia. He ate just as usual, which means he was happy away from home. Her home will always be our first choice when needing to leave him behind!”

“The Best Home Away from Home! Our dogs got a pampering vacation while we had one too! I honestly believe that our dogs left their home with their hearts and bellies full. We are hiring them again in a month an a half and for over 10 days. Communication was really easy and I had a lot of specific info around feeding and walks. They were very welcoming as I showed up with multiple dog beds and leashes and treat bags and refrigerated food, etc, etc. Our trip was international and we felt peace of mind the whole time away. Titan is such a mama's boy that he won't walk with anyone else and Tasha is so timid that she won't warm up to anyone. Soon the photos and videos of Tasha rolling onto her back for tummy caresses and both on walks with tails wagging and sleeping on their laps and beds. This family conquered their trust pretty quickly.”

“Denise was wonderful! This was my first time using Rover, and I’m so glad I found her. Marshmellow seemed so happy and comfortable with her, and I loved that he got to spend time playing with other dogs while I was away. Denise sent me lots of photos and updates throughout his stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. It made it much easier to relax and enjoy time with my family knowing my sweet Marshmellow was happy, safe, and well cared for. I would absolutely trust Denise with him again and highly recommend her!”

“My dog stayed with her for 4 days and had a wonderful time. She is very kind and warm person. She informe me about my dog everyday and send me a picture. She takes great pictures of my dog:-) Thank you!! Ms.Linda”
“Carla and David were excellent hosts! My picky dog took to them right away, which he doesn't do too often! They have tons of beautiful fenced-in land for your doggie to explore! My dog was having issues with his feet and since i was in town for a wedding, Carla even took my dog to the vet to get him some anitbiotics. He was obviously very happy there when I picked him up. Thank you Carla and David!!!”

“Fern had a wonderful time playing with your dogs. She will definitely stay again in future. She got lots of snuggles and I received updates with photos during her stay.”

“My mixed breed Yorkie/Dachshund Lucy appears to have had too much fun! My Lucy is an extremely high energy rescue, so she can be a bit of a handful. She came home completely exhausted with little energy to expend. There is a big back yard for dogs to run and Michael shares his home with his furry guests, but it is a veryclean atmosphere. He even took Lucy with Maisie for a swim! She must have been very comfortable as she ate all of the food that I sent, which she typically does not do when we are separated. Michael appears to genuinely enjoy having furry friends around and his dog Maisie is a totally tolerant sweetie whom I know played to exhaustion herself. I will ask Michael again to care for Lucy.”

“Jr was awesome! We went on a trip overseas and left out dog Lira with him for 12 days. He communicated with us daily and treated our Lira like his own! His dog Zahlee was super friendly and welcoming to our dog as well! I highly recommend him and would define or leave my dog with him again! Thank you Jr!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Driftwood
Olga was an amazing caretaker for Sugar. Communicative and professional from the start. She genuinely cares about your pet and aims to make them feel at home. Sugar was well taken care of for almost a whole month while we were abroad. Could not recommend her more! She is kind & compassionate to both the owners and your pet. 5 stars!

Olga was such a blessing. Last minute.. and I MEAN least minute we needed to find someone to watch our cat for a wedding out of State. Within 20 minutes she communicated that she could take my kitty. The groom's dad brought 2 hunting dogs to the wedding house we were staying and I didn't feel he would be safe. I have never left him with anyone or used rover and we needed to have a solution in an hour. Olga and her husband immediately gave us the welcoming warm feeling that I knew kitty would be safe and enjoy their beautiful calm home. When we came to pick him up he was a little too comfortable and made his little ass right at home that echoed the photos my boyfriend got. Just what he needed before a long drive to Nashville and some chocolates Olga gave us which were devoured on the drive! Know your kitty will be safe and comfortable with Olga and her husband! Much love Olga from Florida. Till we meet again. Прощайте!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
