“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter than Chuck! From the very first meet-and-greet, he put both us and our dog completely at ease. He’s reliable, attentive, and clearly loves what he does. While we were away, Chuck sent regular updates and photos that showed our pup not only being well cared for, but genuinely happy. Chuck went above and beyond—making sure routines were followed, exercise needs were met, and even noticing little details that showed how much he pays attention. Coming home, we found our dog relaxed, content, and clearly well-loved. It gave us real peace of mind knowing our four-legged family member was in such capable hands. If you’re looking for someone who treats your dog like their own, we highly recommend Chuck. We’ll definitely be booking with him again!”

“Patrick was really patient with (Sarge) my bloodhound and kept me updated with photos and texts. Sarge wasn’t feeling well and Patrick took good care of him! Thank you again for keeping Sarge company while I was gone!”

About: I have been a dog lover and pet owner my entire life. I do have morning shifts on Saturday & Sundays (8am-3pm), but other than that I am fully available. I have also been using the bambino app to provide Babysitting services for the past two years. I have cared for over 33 families and I would be happy to share some reviews with you if you’d like. I can’t wait to meet your pet! I’ll have plenty of time to play with your animals because I only work part time on weekends! I am currently out of school for the summer, so I’ll be able to spend lots of time with them and make sure they are having a great time. Caring for pets in my own home would look like playing with them, taking them for walks in my neighborhood, making sure they are well taken care, of and making them happy! My home has a yard for pets to play in or go potty. We have plenty of walking trails in the neighborhood as well. I also have a pet cube, so when I leave the house for my part time job, I can check in with your pet on the pet cube. I only work 2 days/week (7hr shift), so I will have plenty of time with your pet!
“Angie was amazing to our boy Finn. They really loved him while we were on an extended trip. Angie was great at sending pictures of Finn and he really settled in with their family. We would definitely stay with Angie and her family again, and would highly recommend her to others.”

About: What sets me apart is my calm, intuitive approach, lifelong experience with both cats and dogs, and the deep sense of purpose I take in pet care. I’m highly reliable, attentive to subtle cues, and focused on creating a low-stress, loving environment, especially for sensitive or anxious pets. I treat every animal as an individual, not a routine. Pet care fits easily into my schedule. I work from home 15–25 hours per week, which allows me to be consistently present and provide calm, attentive supervision throughout the day, rather than rushed or intermittent care. I also provide calm, in-home care focused on safety, structure, and individualized attention. In my home, I host only one cat-friendly dog at a time to ensure a peaceful environment for all animals, including my three resident cats. I maintain a quiet, low-stimulation home where pets can relax and feel secure. I follow each dog’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and rest, with consistent supervision throughout their stay. For care in a client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine to minimize stress and keep them comfortable in their familiar environment. My priority is gentle, attentive care, clear communication, and a stress-free experience. Dogs must be well-behaved and cat-friendly for boarding in my home.

“Linda did a great job taking care of Annie while we were on vacation. She sent daily pictures of Annie, and she looked very happy and content. I would definitely recommend and would hire Linda for future trips.”

“Yisel & Victor were great! They sent lots of pictures with updates and even gave us a small Polaroid to take home :) Marty had lots of fun playing with other pups and really enjoyed his weekend. We highly recommend Yisel & Victor. Thank you both for taking such good care of Marty and making sure he had a great time while we were away.”

“Sumin and Steve were incredibly kindhearted and warm caretakers! They made Charlie feel at home with their cozy blankets and great backyard during his stay. I loved all the great updates and pictures. I highly recommend this duo! 🤩”

“Erik and his family took such wonderful care of our pup. 🐶❤️They were attentive, kind, and kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We came back to a happy, well-loved dog, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care they provided.”

About: I work from home, so I'm home all day with our mini Labradoodle—and I’d love the opportunity to care for your dog as well! I walk Luke twice during the work day and have a fenced yard where your pet can play safely. I look forward to the chance to meet your pup! I work from home during the week, which gives me the flexibility to take your pet on regular walks and give them plenty of attention throughout the day. We have a fenced-in yard and a nearby dog park in our neighborhood, so your pet will have plenty of opportunities for exercise and socialization. I know how important it is to keep them active, happy, and engaged.

“Thank you to Arie & Etty. Our pup had a wonderful time staying with them. They are lovely people and we received a lot of pictures and updates. Communication was great.”

“Meredith and Lance are outstanding. Their kids clearly showed our puppy some love while we were gone. I enjoyed getting the picture updates of their adventures with my puppy and when I got him back, he was even more well-behaved than when I left him. Great experience.”
“Fantastic caretaker for Suki! Sent us consistent updates and made sure to play with her a lot. Easily the most comfortable she has seemed in anyones place that we have chosen through Rover. Also bonus points for being Persian! ❤️”

“Aine was amazing with Bono. Bono developed a severe allergy to something during his stay and Aine took Bono to our vet and even bathed him in the medication shampoo so he would feel much better. Though we were out of town, we felt comforted that Bono was in such good care. Thank you so much!”

“Shannon and Ray took wonderful care of our dog with separation anxiety while we were away. They obviously made him feel right at home as evident from all the photos of him just relaxing without a care in the world. I think he would have been just fine moving in with them permanently! 😆. Communication with Shannon and Ray was excellent, they were very understanding and flexible in working with us on our pickup and dropoff times. Our pup didn’t need much of his anxiety medication at all while we were gone. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again in the future. Lovely people. Thank you so much Shannon and Ray!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - The Hills
Grant, Ashley, and Finn are fantastic hosts. Blanca and Gigi were calm for their first meeting, and happy when we picked them up after their stay. Grant was super communicative, flexible, and helpful. We will definitely use them again when our little delinquents need a place to stay.

Alexandra is amazing and incredibly professional. She and her family treated our dog, April, like one of their own, playing, walking, and spending quality time with her every day in their fenced backyard and around the neighborhood alongside their own dog. The environment was wonderful! We loved receiving daily updates and beautiful photos. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
