About: I’ve always taken care of neighbors and friends dogs growing up and I take my own dogs on long walks at the park and make sure to feed them the best food we can. I love giving them baths and training them! I’m currently working a weekday job from 12 to 4 so early mornings, evenings and weekends I’m completely available to watch your creatures or/critters I have two dogs who enjoy just under an acre of fenced in yard, my husky loves to hunt lizards but my Aussie always scares them off!
“Emily was a delight! She made sure she was clear on what our needs and expectations were, and sent us lots of great updates with pictures. I could tell our two dogs and one cat were well cared for and gots lots of love because they were so relaxed when we got home. Thank you, Emily!”

“Jeremy was exceptional!! …with me & my pets :) I was nervous using this service for the first time, and he did a tremendous job putting me (and my 3 pets) all at ease. He sent updates & pics regularly - It felt wonderful knowing they were so well taken care of for my 5 days away! Thank you, Jeremy!”

“Thank you so very much for taking care of our pups! We appreciate you checking in on them & giving them their outside time. Excellent job. We highly recommend Christina! 🙂💕”

“Tricia has been so amazing taking care of our pups! This was the first time we’ve left all three in someone else’s care and couldn’t have been more appreciative of the communication and love they received! Will definitely use Tricia again in the future!”

About: Whether your furry friend is a standoffish cat, a hyper dog, or an opera-singing bird, I am the capable caretaker you can trust to suit their needs and make them feel safe + loved! My schedule as a pet sitter is open to any client! On a trip to see family? Only gone for an hour or two? No problem! I can come over day or night. Whatever your animal needs, I can provide! I do not currently board at my own home, but am available to sit/walk your pet in your area.

“This is a family group and we’ve used them a number of times, including a 10 day trip out of the country. They are the best! They are super dependable and flexible and our pets love having them visit!”

About: I have a special place in my heart for animals. I’m always dog sitting for friends, volunteering at the shelters and fostering when it’s possible. I currently work full time as a nurse and have some free time for daily walks and/or drop-ins when needed. Love every minute I spend with fur babies :) I work along with the restrictions carried out by the owner. I understand that every home has different rules for their fur children to be cared for safely.
“Erik and his wife took care of my pup on a last minute booking they did an amazing job kept me updated on his walks sent pictures each time! They’re awesome my second time booking with them will definitely recommend!”

“Nicholas was awesome. He came by before to meet my pups, has a mini aussie himself so understood the temperament and my dogs were awesome when we came home. Obviously exercised them and fed them well. It’s so important to find people that do a great job and understand a breed. I bet he’d be great with dogs that’s aren’t as active as well because my house was spotless. My daughter commented it looked exactly like when we left. Thanks so much Nicholas!”

About: About Me: - Lifelong animal lover, grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, and sheep at my grandmother's house - Currently pursuing a Master's in Shelter Medicine, starting in 2027 - Animal care isn't a side interest, it's the direction my whole career is heading Hands-On Experience: - Foster newborn kittens through Austin Pets Alive! - Own and care for my Golden Retriever, Bruno and my two cats Sabrina & Sofia - Comfortable with daily routines, feeding, medication, and special handling needs Certifications: - Pet Tech CPR & First Aid Certified - Fear Free Shelters Certified (trained in low-stress animal handling) Volunteer Work: - Active volunteer with Austin Pets Alive! - Support their clinic, cat, and dog programs Why Pet Owners Can Trust Me: - Background in project management, dependable, organized, clear communicator - Treat every animal with the same patience and attention I'd want for my own - Calm, informed care backed by real certifications, not just enthusiasm My schedule is flexible, with most of my availability on weekends and evenings, plus extra flexibility on Thursdays and Fridays when I work from home. That means I can offer longer visits, midday check-ins, or extra playtime on those days, not just a quick walk and out the door. I'm happy to work around your pet's routine rather than squeezing them into mine. I live in an apartment with my own dog, who is super friendly and great with other dogs, plus two equally friendly cats. Your pet won't be alone, they'll have calm, social animal companions the whole time. I don't have a yard, so walks and nearby green space are how we get outside time in, and I'm always attentive to introductions so everyone feels comfortable.
“Valerie has been so wonderful with our dog! She is a rescue who can be timid around new people. Valerie has been accommodating and patient and now they are become fast friends! She has also been flexible and responsive to requests and schedule changes. This is our first Rover experience and we would recommend Valerie to any pet parent!”

“Stacy is absolutely amazing! I couldn’t have asked for better care for my fur babies! She went above and beyond making sure they were happy. I left items that could make it easier for her to take care of, but she left those for me for next time and handled everything with quite the consideration. Additionally, she just has a light about her! Thank you Stacey”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - The Hills
Nicole was fantastic with my dogs while I was away for a long weekend. She was right on time each day for all three visits and fed and stayed with the dogs exactly as I’d asked. My friend stopped by after one visit to grab something and she said the dogs were happy and didn’t even bark at her. I will definitely book again, thank you!

Vanessa has been fantastic—this is my second time booking with her, and it won’t be the last. Cyrus absolutely loves spending time with her, which says everything. She’s always punctual, consistently provides great updates with photos, and gives thoughtful feedback after each visit. Reliable, communicative, and clearly cares—highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-tier sitter.

Carla has taken wonderful care of Cyrus, and he absolutely adores her. It’s immediately clear that she genuinely loves animals, and that care and attention shows in everything she does. She is very trustworthy, friendly, and professional, which made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I’m so grateful to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in The Hills with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
