“Christine has been so great with my pup. She is always willing to help out with check ins and is really good about documenting the visit and providing photos. I can rest easy when I’m away knowing that my pup is in great hands!”

About: I grew up with a dog until I was 18 (Westie - Minnie) and then after college was adopted by a wonderful rescue sphynx (PyeWacket). Over then next 20 or so years I have had 4 sphyx cats (PyeWacket, Forty Two, Tesla and Cairo) and 1 Lyikoi (Cypher). Over the last year my house has had 4 puppies (from 8 weeks), 2 turtles, 2 Guinea pigs, 2 full size dogs 6 cats and multiple fish. I also often house sit for a very smart chihuahua named Mazie. Currently in between jobs so my schedule is fairly open. Like early and late walks due to the heat but open for anything. Open to late night feedings if needed. I treat your animals like they were my own. Love to play, hang out and what ever your little one needs. Need to make sure they know they are loved.

About: Raised around dogs my entire life, my family and friends have consistently trusted me to care for their canine family. I have a two year old GSD of my own whom I share with my best friend who is the sweetest and most loving dog you will ever meet. Pet sitting is a priority on my schedule, so I will always find the time that is necessary to advocate for you and your pets! I always start my routine by opening doors slowly to make sure nobody escapes. I clean litter boxes daily, even if it isn’t necessary. For male cats, I am always making sure they’ve used the restroom within the past 24 hours, in order to avoid urinary tract issues. If the kitty doesn’t seem to be in a playful mood, I always make sure to maintain space to allow them to approach me on their own accord. I have two female cats of my own, and all of my daily sitter habits reflect to them as well. I go above and beyond to make sure your furry friends are safe and happy.

About: Growing up with both dogs & cats my entire life, I’ve been around a variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities. I work well with every animal I come across and enjoy caring for any & all — this includes experience with puppy care & training! I’m kind, fun-loving, sociable, and can adapt based on an animal’s needs. I lead with compassion for animals & their owns alike. From family to friends, I always ensure your fur baby is looked after with the utmost of care. As I’m currently working from home, I am readily available for walks, check-ins, house sitting, and boarding throughout the day/night. Overnight stays are no issue here either! Depending on the instructions received from the owner(s), I will be sure to follow any necessary requirements to ensure your pet is looked after & loved for the time that I am there. Whether it’s forms of training, being let in & out, walks, check-ins, etc. - nothing is ever too much. Favorite treats, toys & activities are to be followed to make sure your pet (or pets) is as comfortable & happy as can be!
About: Whether your furry friend is a standoffish cat, a hyper dog, or an opera-singing bird, I am the capable caretaker you can trust to suit their needs and make them feel safe + loved! My schedule as a pet sitter is open to any client! On a trip to see family? Only gone for an hour or two? No problem! I can come over day or night. Whatever your animal needs, I can provide! I do not currently board at my own home, but am available to sit/walk your pet in your area.
“Caleb did a good job of taking care of CoCo last minute and made sure he had food and water . However, we agreed on arrival between 2pm and 4pm, and he did not arrive until after 5pm, which caused me to worry about CoCo. He also brought someone else into the home without giving me a heads up, which made me uncomfortable.”

“Isabella really came through in a pinch accepting the job last minute. Thanks Isabella and thanks for doing such a professional job at taking such great care of our two pups.”

“Thank you for taking care of Happy so well and for your flexibility since this was such as impromptu request. I was able to relax while I was out of the country knowing you were taking care of him.”

“Lilyanna did a great job of taking care of our pups. We have a 4 month old lab and she was amazing at keeping his schedule and ensuring he maintained his normal routine while we were gone. She was also very communicative and took some super cute photos of the pups. Both dogs seemed happy and stress free when we returned to them. Thank you for making our lives easier and ensuring our dogs are safe and happy!”

“Grant did a great job! He stopped by my place to walk my dogs. My one and half year old pit mix Luna has a ton of energy and he didn’t have any issues with her. I would totally use him again if he’s available.”
“Stacy is absolutely amazing! I couldn’t have asked for better care for my fur babies! She went above and beyond making sure they were happy. I left items that could make it easier for her to take care of, but she left those for me for next time and handled everything with quite the consideration. Additionally, she just has a light about her! Thank you Stacey”

“Emily was a delight! She made sure she was clear on what our needs and expectations were, and sent us lots of great updates with pictures. I could tell our two dogs and one cat were well cared for and gots lots of love because they were so relaxed when we got home. Thank you, Emily!”

About: I got my first cat when I was just 8 years old, gaining full responsibility of her at 10 years old. I am now 19 years old and have had the pleasure of taking care of hundreds of pets (mostly dogs)! For about 6 months I was a kennel technician for a kennel which generally had about 60+ dogs in it. I bonded so much with every dog, most breaks I would just go into a kennel of dog who might've been skittish and try to bond, they really liked that. At this job, I mostly cleaned kennels but also fed dogs/cats their specific food requests and documented it on sheets. On the other hand, I was a dog caretaker at a small business in Austin where I would take up to 7 well-behaved dogs (that's all my car could fit!) to a nearby trail and let them off leash to explore. At the commercial space, I monitored 15+ dogs playing, making sure no one got hurt (or somewhere they shouldn't be!). This job taught me the most about dogs and dog behavior. I'm currently living in Austin with a part time job I limit to Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. So, I prefer to reserve Mondays and Wednesdays for taking care of furry friends! This helps keeps my days organized. Currently, I have lots of availability for evening walks on Mondays and Wednesdays I love animals! I will give your pet lots of love and do as intstructed, whatever is needed! If you request that I give your pet a special treat, I will. I have learned behaviors of pets over the years that I have cared for them, every pet is different but I learn quickly! I will not be able to house your pet because I live in a dorm.
“Gabby was fantastic watching our beaded dragon. She was on time and asked great questions when we first met her. She took care of him at the time we asked and even sent us some pictures of a happy lizard. I'd recommend her for any pet, even the non standard ones”

Nicole was fantastic with my dogs while I was away for a long weekend. She was right on time each day for all three visits and fed and stayed with the dogs exactly as I’d asked. My friend stopped by after one visit to grab something and she said the dogs were happy and didn’t even bark at her. I will definitely book again, thank you!

Vanessa has been fantastic—this is my second time booking with her, and it won’t be the last. Cyrus absolutely loves spending time with her, which says everything. She’s always punctual, consistently provides great updates with photos, and gives thoughtful feedback after each visit. Reliable, communicative, and clearly cares—highly recommend her to anyone looking for a top-tier sitter.

Carla has taken wonderful care of Cyrus, and he absolutely adores her. It’s immediately clear that she genuinely loves animals, and that care and attention shows in everything she does. She is very trustworthy, friendly, and professional, which made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I’m so grateful to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional pet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
