Choosing a dog sitter is about more than availability - it is about trust. As a veteran and recently retired elementary school teacher, and someone with over 8 years of hands-on pet sitting experience; my life has been rooted in responsibility, patience and attentive care. Both careers have shaped me to be punctual, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to the well being of those in my care. My background in education allows me to be especially patient and attentive to behavior cues. Whether your dog is energetic, shy, senior or needs a little reassurance, I provide steady, kind and consistent care. Additionally, my husband is a medical provider, who works from home, so administering medications or supporting pets with medical needs is something we are comfortable and confident handling. If your dog requires extra attention or specialized care, you can feel at ease that extra support is readily available. My goal is simple: for you to leave and feel completely confident - and return to a happy, well cared for dog.

We are really happy we found Leilani to come to our house to take care of Oliver. She is very responsive and we got lots of great pictures. Everything was fine when we got back. We will definitively use her again.

Leilani was so caring and sweet to my dog and she kept in excellent touch with me during his stay, sending me lots of cute photos and updates. She was even thoughtful enough to ask me about certain command language we use with him at home so she could remain consistent with the way we train him. Jasper is young and high energy and when I picked him up this morning after a long stay at Leilani’s, I could tell he had had a fantastic time! He was one, very happy boy. I’m so thankful to have found a wonderful person like Leilani to watch him. And I know he will be so excited to stay with her again next time 💚
Molly was exceptionally well cared for by Leilani, with plenty of play time with her dogs. Great communication and she shared lots of photos while we were off in Colorado. A big Thumbs Up.

Schedule
A Day in Our Care When pets stay in our home, their comfort, safety and routine are my top priorities. Morning Our day begins with a gentle transition into the morning - potty break in our fully fenced in yard, fresh water, and breakfast served according to your pet's normal schedule. Morning walks are unhurried and tailored to your dog's pace and needs. After their walk, pets enjoy playtime or relaxed companionship settling in for a short mid-morning nap. Midday Midday includes supervised outdoor time in our fenced yard, and intentional play sessions suited to your dog's energy level. I stay attentive and fully present. Afternoons & Evenings Afternoons may include another walk, light structured playtime, or peaceful companionship depending on your pet's needs. I balance activity with downtime to prevent overstimulation. Dinner is served according to your instructions. Evenings in our home are peaceful and predictable, helping pets feel settled and secure. Nighttime Pets sleep in a safe and comfortable space aligned with what they are used to at home. My goal is for them to feel relaxed, safe and truly at ease.

My home offers something many cannot - I intentionally create a calm, structured, nurturing environment so they feel secure from the moment they arrive. I do not believe in simply "watching" dogs - I believe in actively caring for them in a way that makes them feel safe, understood and secure. With me, your pet is not one of many. They are thoughtfully cared for with close supervision, balanced activity, and genuine affection. If you are looking for reliable, attentive and experienced care; where your pet's routine, comfort and well being truly come first - my home is designed for that.

Depending on your pet's personality and energy level, activities may include: ~Leisurely neighborhood walks, ~Supervised yard play and fresh air time, ~Gentle games of tug or fetch, ~Puzzle toys and enrichment games, ~Basic reinforcement of manners, ~Snuggle time and companionship, ~Confidence building for shy pets.
