“My dog says to leave 1 star so her favorite sitter is always available for her. She loves Nick. She finally doesn’t cry for hours when we leave her or pick her up. My dog is high anxiety but super calm and relaxed with him.”

“Aine and Jared are my go-to sitters here in Austin. Their attention to detail and communication is unmatched. Stella loves spending time at their house and playing with Fionn!”

“Kimberley was absolutely wonderful! I have an anxious dog who needs an experienced sitter who can work with him to make him comfortable. Kimberley was so great with him and even went so far as to begin crate training him for me. I was so appreciative of her daily updates letting me know how he was doing. I get very nervous leaving him since he’s so attached to me but she made me feel so comfortable being away from him for 11 days. I could not recommend Kimberley more and will definitely be rebooking with her in the future!”

“Cassandra and Jason were lovely hosts for Benito. I received just the right amount of pictures to see he was happy & updates that were detailed enough to let me know he was well cared for. They were very responsive, professional, and flexible - even willing to go above and beyond when a potential travel delay popped up. I will absolutely use their boarding services again!”

“She was very responsive and I appreciate her flexibility! I felt my cat and dog were well taken care of when I couldn’t be there with them. Thank you!”

About: I've taken care of dogs of various breeds and ages throughout my entire life. The 12 listed year of experience are here in Texas, mostly with my current dogs, Lady (Beagle) and Bitsy (Chihuahua mix that looks a little like a Maltese Poodle). This a family of animals through and through, including my mother that has worked at Petco for decades. I am currently working independently, which means I am home frequently throughout the day. My adult son Marshall is also available to assist with any needs that arise. I have a fully fenced yard and two small friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed.
“Stephanie is the only person I've ever left my dog with that I feel 100% at ease. She treats Rosie like she's one of her own, and Rosie always has the best time. I love receiving photo updates during the stay!”

“Elijah was amazing! He took excellent care of my pups, ensuring their special diet and medication needs were met. When I picked them up, they were happy and looked fantastic. Thank you again for taking such great care of them!”

“Arfa was great! She sent lots of pictures during Buddy's stay to keep us posted, and she definitely gave him all the cuddles he needed :) We will be sure to use her again next time! Thank you, Arfa!”

“Chuck is a superstar. We had a challenging stressful trip, but thinking about our pet Percy is one thing we’ve never had to worry about. He’s so kind and funny and he gave a ton of comfort. He took care of our pup like his own and we couldn’t ask for a better person. You rock Chuck.”

“Autumn was the absolute best dog sitter for our fur baby Dotty! She sent many pictures and let us know how she was doing every day! We are so grateful for her and her family taking great care of our gal!”

“Elizabeth took such wonderful care of our cats, and you can truly tell she does this from the bottom of her heart. Many pet sitters may accept cat boarding simply as a job, but Elizabeth genuinely loved and cared for our cats as if they were her own. Our cats are not the easiest to look after, two of them require medication and the third one is quite naughty, but she handled everything with so much patience and care. She was even able to successfully give them their medication, which is not an easy task. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such kind and capable hands. We are incredibly grateful and would absolutely trust Elizabeth with our cats again.”

“Nelda took great care of our dog for the weekend! We had never left him before and we’re nervous before heading out on our trip. But she made sure to send us lots of pics, updates, and let us know how he was doing the entire time we were gone. I felt super comfortable and confident he would have so much fun with her!”

“I am beyond pleased to have found Rachel and Justin before heading off to a funeral. Luckily, I found Rachel and Justin last minute after realizing Iggy would not be able to travel with me. It was Iggy’s first stay with a sitter, so it goes without saying that I was very worried and sad to leave him behind. After meeting this family, I felt very secure leaving Iggy. It was a huge weight off my shoulders with the weekend that lies ahead of me. Rachel and Justin sent messages along with photos multiple times each day to let me know how Iggy was doing. He was walked and fed according to my instructions and returned to me a little sad to leave the family behind. I would definitely recommend Rachel and Justin to anyone looking for a sitter. Their accommodations are comfortable and they do an excellent job at taking care of your furry loved ones. 5 out of 5”

“Gus had a good time with Peyton and was more than well taken care of. Peyton was awesome working with me with a super last minute booking. I will not hesitate to book with her again!”

About: I’ve cared for a wide range of pets growing up, including dogs, cats, fish, and small animals like guinea pigs. I have hands-on experience with dogs at every stage of life—from raising my own dog from 8 weeks old to caring for senior dogs with more specialized needs. I live an active lifestyle and enjoy working with high-energy dogs, making sure they get the exercise, stimulation, and attention they need throughout the day. Because I work remotely, I have the flexibility to stay present, maintain routines, and give pets consistent care rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I also prioritize clear communication and provide regular updates so you know exactly how your pet is doing while you’re away. Pet care is something I intentionally structure my day around, not something I fit in when I have time. Since I work remotely, I’m home and available throughout the day, which allows for consistent walks, playtime, and attention instead of long gaps alone. I live in a large home with a fully fenced yard, so dogs have safe, easy access to the outdoors for breaks and fresh air. I still make sure they get proper walks and activity based on their energy level—it’s not just yard time. I adjust my schedule to match each pet’s routine—whether that’s higher activity and stimulation or a calmer, more predictable pace—and focus on keeping their day consistent and low-stress. When caring for pets in my home, I focus on creating a safe, structured, and low-stress environment. I keep routines consistent with what they’re used to—feeding schedules, walks, and downtime—so the transition feels as natural as possible. Dogs have access to a fully fenced yard for safe outdoor breaks, along with regular walks and playtime based on their energy level. I’m home throughout the day, so they receive consistent supervision and attention rather than being left alone for long periods. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize maintaining their normal routine and environment. I follow all instructions closely—feeding, walks, medications if needed—and make sure the pet stays comfortable in their familiar space. I’m respectful of the home, keep things clean, and provide regular updates so owners know how their pet is doing. In both settings, I focus on being attentive, reliable, and responsive to each pet’s individual needs.
“Joel was great! He took such good care of Joey. It was my first time leaving him in the care of someone else as I was traveling overseas and his consistent updates and photos kept me at ease and I saw that my cat was really happy and thriving and having such a great time. I would certainly book him again and I highly recommend him. He’s so caring, attentive, detail oriented, and I would love to board Joey with him again!”

“Kara took such good care of our Zelda. Brought us great peace of mind knowing she was safe and happy with lots of love and play mates while we where away. Really appreciated the photos and updates as well.”

“Shannon and Ray took wonderful care of our dog with separation anxiety while we were away. They obviously made him feel right at home as evident from all the photos of him just relaxing without a care in the world. I think he would have been just fine moving in with them permanently! 😆. Communication with Shannon and Ray was excellent, they were very understanding and flexible in working with us on our pickup and dropoff times. Our pup didn’t need much of his anxiety medication at all while we were gone. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again in the future. Lovely people. Thank you so much Shannon and Ray!”

Point Venture pet parents share their Rover experiences
Grant, Ashley, and Finn are fantastic hosts. Blanca and Gigi were calm for their first meeting, and happy when we picked them up after their stay. Grant was super communicative, flexible, and helpful. We will definitely use them again when our little delinquents need a place to stay.

Julie and Michael went above and beyond! There are many sitters on Rover, BUT it is rare to find sitters that provide quality care on the app. Julie and Michael limit the number of dogs they watch, and limit the size of dogs in their care which is paramount for making sure my 14 lb dog is secure. They have a beautiful, clean home with a lovely backyard. They were also kind and flexible when our dates had to change. Rosie snuggled up and immediately felt right at home. We will be recommending Julie and Michael to everyone we know!
