Pet care experience
I’ll be there when you need me!
I grew up caring for dogs of different shapes and sizes as well as other small pets like hamsters and fish. I’ve also had a cockatiel as well as love birds. My family and I love to board pets since we don’t currently have any, but that’s just more attention to share with yours.

Ratings and reviews
Edwin and family took great care of my pet while I was out of the country for 9 days. My flight got cancelled coming back and couldn’t pick up the pup for another day. Edwin was incredibly understanding and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Edwin & his family take excellent care of my dog. He sends me regular updates and photos. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

Edwin and his family took great care of our dog for almost 2 weeks. He sent plenty of updates and responded in a timely manner with any communications. Despite communicating our boundaries and rules for our dog with previous dogs sitters, our dog would come back home with unwanted behaviors. However, our dog came back home from this family without behavioral issues to tackle, so that was greatly appreciated. Overall, we will book with Edwin and his family again and appreciate them caring for our dog while we were away from some time.

Edwin provided such a great experience for our best boy while my family had to travel. This was my first time using Rover and I’m so glad that the app was recommended and we found Edwin. Edwin sent photos, communicated great and even accommodated my request to do a meet and greet before confirming a reservation. I honestly couldn’t say enough good things about Edwin and Charlie’s stay with him and his family — 10 out of 10 and highly recommend to anyone local to Kyle.

Edwin was great. Sent pictures multiple times a day of the dog on walks and enjoying treats. I would use Edwin again and again.

Edwin and family took wonderful care of our dog Petra while we were away for a few days. Edwin provided plenty of updates along with pictures and videos which reaffirmed how comfortable she was in their home. I highly recommend them and by how relaxed and happy Petra was when we picked her up, I believe she would as well!

Schedule
I am a personal trainer / nutrition coach with a very early morning / some evenings schedule. I have gaps in my day that I use to do drop in visits when many are working away from home. I’m usually up and moving at 3:30a, back home by 6a, and work from home most of the day, with some meetings away from home from time to time. We go down around 8:30p to get ready for the next day and get some sleepy time.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Our home has a fenced in backyard for them to play in and pups are free to roam inside. In your home I will respect whatever boundaries are set. In our home we tend to keep people places separate from pup places, so typically we don’t allow them on couches, and definitely not beds. We do keep individual rooms off limits. Normally we do not feed them people food unless it’s provided by the owner as we don’t want to encourage hanging out under the table or in the kitchen. For boarding at our home *we prefer crate trained pups* as they need boundaries and their own space to help them be comfortable in a new environment. They may behave one way at your home and a totally different way somewhere else, and it’s best to lean more cautiously to prevent any unexpected mischief and / or damage. Under certain circumstances we can work with a dog that is not crate trained, but we need to meet them first and they need to be super mellow. We’ve had a few escape artists who have gotten into things and even caused some damage. I have a very early morning schedule and knowing exactly where the pup is located is very helpful in the dark. We also have an older family member living with us as well, so we want to avoid as many late night surprises as possible. We are a very mellow family that is home a lot due to the type of work we do. If your pup is SUPER high energy and needs lots of activity, constant attention and wants to go outside every five minutes we may not be the best fit for you as we spend a lot of time doing crafts, reading, drawing, stuff like that. Our jobs are very active so when we are home we like to rest and chill out with the animal guests.
A typical day
I love to walk with them as it gives them exercise and gives me some time to enjoy the outdoors. We play a lot of fetch. Outdoors is usually where the play happens, especially things like tug of war or throwing and catching. We want outdoors to be the place where the energy is released and indoors a calm environment. We take alot of pictures and videos to share with the owners. Sometimes we will even make a special video of all the things we are doing to give parents peace of mind. Our girls love hanging out with our guests and give lots of hugs and interactions. Sometimes the dogs will come upstairs where I work and hang out and maybe nap (it is the boring part of my job, after all).
