About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and am comfortable caring for a wide range of personalities. I’m reliable, attentive, and focused on making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I pay close attention to behavior and energy levels, so I can adjust care to fit each dog—whether they’re active and playful or more relaxed. I’m also communicative and dependable, so you’ll always know your dog is in good hands. Pet care fits easily into my daily and weekly routine because I already live an active and structured lifestyle. I make time each day for walks, outdoor time, and staying active, so incorporating dog walks, playtime, and check-ins feels very natural to me. I’m happy to care for pets either in your home or mine, depending on what works best for you and your dog. I currently don’t have any pets of my own, which allows me to provide a calm, dedicated environment and give your pet my full attention. In your home, I focus on keeping your dog’s routine as consistent as possible—following feeding schedules, walks, and any specific instructions so they feel comfortable and secure in their space. I’m also respectful of your home and keep everything clean and organized. If cared for in my home, your dog will have a safe, relaxed environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day.
“Sydney was great! She was so sweet with my pup. Very communicative about his activities, and sent great pictures. She put me at ease and will definitely use Sydney’s service again!”

“My dog has so much fun with Victoria. Her photos are so nice to see my dog having a blast. She is very reliable and handles everything that comes up with grace. Life isn’t perfect but Victoria with animals sure is! She’s the best.”

About: Hello! I'm Marie, an animal lover with a big heart... and a frequent traveler. My story begins with a personal choice: Because I return to France for several weeks each year to visit family, I made the decision not to adopt a pet of my own. I believe I couldn't leave them in someone else's care for that long. But my desire for animal companionship was still strong! This is what led me to become a passionate volunteer at Austin Pets Alive! There, I learned everything: from handling the most fearful or reactive dogs to caring for cats. And I learned one essential thing: The success of an adoption depends on daily support. Sometimes, families feel overwhelmed, and that's where I want to make a difference. My goal is not just to walk your dog or feed your cat. It's to become your trusted partner. To relieve you on your busy days, to help during your vacations, and, in doing so, to help ensure your pet remains a happy, thriving, and permanent member of your family. Let's build a more peaceful daily life for you, and a more joyful one for them. I have plenty of time to walk and play with your pets, ensuring they get the exercise and attention they need. I usually leave my house for three hours each Monday morning to volunteer at APA!, which is typically the longest time I'm away. I strive to be present all day for your pet. I am available throughout the week, including during school holidays and public holidays (except Christmas), so you can count on me to care for your furry friends while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. In my home or yours, I maintain a calm, pet-proofed environment, follow routines closely, and use positive reinforcement techniques. I respect each animal’s boundaries to build trust. Clean, stress-free care is my promise always!
“Jessica was absolutely wonderful with Baxter! It warmed my heart to see all of their pictures together and the adventure they took on their walk. I would absolutely book with Jessica again and recommend that you do too! :)”

“Especially you did a great job of watching out for my pup and was super helpful in being flexible when it came to not walking him due to the high temperatures. Her and my pup have become good friends.”

About: I have had animals my entire life. Right now, I have a cat and a dog of my own that I adore. I would love your animals as my own, and take the very best care of them. I currently work part-time from 11AM to 7PM, but I would still have a flexible schedule. I am willing to work with you when it comes to times, and I am able to head to your house before or after work! I would do whatever you would prefer when taking care of your animal at your house. I would love to take your dogs on walks and play with them outside!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs from German shepherds to yorkies since I was 8 years old! Whether it was my neighbor’s, grandmother’s or my own, I’ve always had such love for furry babies. I’m currently working a flexible hybrid job, that allows me to take my dog, Ralph on many walks every day and stay home with him! I’m open to sharing that time to help out other pet parents who aren’t available to do the same. Although I live in an apartment, we live in a beautiful grassy area near University Boulevard with a dog park onsite. In my home is of course my friendly dog, Ralph, who would love a friend to play with! I’m available to have your dog out all day in my home or crated. I’m also available to care for your fur baby in your home - just let me know which you prefer!
“Go with Tetyana, your pets will be in good hands! Always caring and thoughtful. Flexible too. She takes the hassle out of being away from your furry companions. Can’t recommend enough!”

About: I've cared for dogs since age 18, including three senior pups. Friends and family trust me with pet care, and I love helping dogs. I work Monday thru Friday but I work from home on Monday and Tuesday. I have a one hour lunch Wednesday thru Friday. So I have time to play with pups. I no longer have any dogs of my own, as they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I have a large, unfenced yard with plenty of room to explore. Pups can enjoy free roam of the house or be comfortably crated if needed, depending on their routine and your preferences.
About: I am currently working as a wildlife/macro photographer but I also love caring for pets. I have walked and dog sat dogs for 12 years. I’ve taken care of dog breeds ranging from Maltipoos, Labradoodles, Poodles, German Shepherds and Pekingeses to name a few. I’ve cared for dogs who need or want specific treatments (special diets, hand feeding, extra grooming for fur that gets easily matted, high energy dogs, dogs who can’t sleep alone). I’d love the opportunity to care for your dog and your pup would be well cared for. :) I am currently not working so I have a very free schedule to take care of your pet whenever you need me to do so. I make sure all pets are not only safe but mentally happy as well. If anything happens I immediately notify the owner so they know how their pet is doing.
About: I have dog sitting experience for about 3 years. I have a golden retriever of my own and other family member dogs that I take care of. I love making sure dogs are being well taken care of with the essential care they need. I currently go to Concordia University in North Austin and have classes between 1-3pm. I also play for the basketball team in November so I will be able to check in early morning and in the evening time. In my home I have a great fence backyard so they can freely run around and use the restroom. I also like walking dogs and making sure they get their exercise and use the restroom when needed.
About: I maintain Open Communication at all times. Great communication is the key to all successful relationships. As your pet sitter, if I see an item that needs attention, I take care of it (or, if there is any question, call you first), even if the service was not specifically requested. As a pet sitter, i will play with the pet, feed them, brush them, and give them any medications or injections they might need. . I’m happy & excited to take care of your pet I will not disappoint you ! Your pet will love and enjoy what I have to offer and be well taken care of while you’re out on vacation , thank you for trusting me to help you out with your fur baby

About: I've been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have had dogs my entire life. Friends, family, and neighbors regularly trust me to dog sit, house sit, and care for both dogs and cats while they're away. I genuinely love animals and enjoy making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own home. I already walk every day, so bringing a pup along is something I truly enjoy! Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Wells Branch
Arfa was a lifesaver. She’s a real lover of dogs and cares for them like they are her own. You can trust her inside your home and more importantly with your 4 legged family members. She takes lots of pictures when she’s with your dog and keeps you updated on everything that’s going on. I can’t say enough good things about this young lady. She really gives you that peace of mind that your dog is in good hands and you have nothing to worry about.

Hana is absolutely amazing! She is incredibly caring, responsible, and truly has a genuine love for dogs. The way she cares for Odin and her own dog Bentley is unmatched. You can tell this isn’t just a job for her, it’s something she truly enjoys. She always sends pictures and updates, which gives me so much peace of mind. Every time Odin comes back from a walk with her, he’s so happy and excited it says everything. Odin is my baby, and I don’t trust just anyone with him, but with Hana I feel completely confident. She is fantastic, bar none. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pet!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
