About: I’ve taken care of a large breed dog and a small breed dog for the past 10+ years. I don’t currently have a dog but recently fostered a Greyhound. I work from home 3x a week and take dogs for a longer walk in the morning and evening. My office schedule is flexible and I live 20 minutes from the office. My sister and I grew up with dogs and I recently fostered a Greyhound in Austin for two months. I like to take dogs out at least 3x a day

About: I have been working with Rover for over 5 years. My 13-year-old lab crossed the rainbow bridge a few years ago, so I do not have any pets in my home and we do not take more than one family at a time. Animals are the best part of our world and nothing makes me happier than spending time with dogs and cats. I also volunteer for PALS, a program under Meals on Wheels, that provides food for animals in senior homes. I loved to walk my dog and would be more than happy to provide dog walking services to others on the weekends. I work weekdays, but am available before 8am after 5 pm and can provide services on Saturdays & Sundays. I cannot wait to meet your beloved pet. I currently work weekdays, but can devote time after work and weekends. I can utilize lunch breaks to check on pets and nights and weekends for more one on one time. I own a home with a fenced in yard for my dog. I will do anything and everything to ensure your animal’s safety and happiness.

Payton is very responsive, prompt, professional, and easy to communicate with. She sent me frequent text and photo updates, which helped me feel at ease while I was away. I had a very short-notice request, and Payton gladly took on the challenge. She had my dog Frimpy smiling real big - highly recommend :)

Jackeline was absolutely the best decision I could’ve made to walk and care for Buddy (Gold Retriever)! She went above and beyond to care for him. At the last minute another Rover canceled and thankfully I found Jackeline. She made our time away so comfortable knowing Buddy had her to look out for him. All the pictures and constant contact made it clear he was in great hands. There was a mix up on time and she helped with no problem. Choose her if you want to be sure you pet is in great hands too, I definitely will in the future.😊

About: I have taken care of many dogs for family and friends in the Austin area for overnight trips, emergency trips, and day to day care. I follow instructions well and love to spend time with all animals, especially dogs. I take care of my two cats at home daily and occasionally take care of other pets for friends and family. I have a part time job so my schedule is flexible. I check their essentials every day (water, food, etc.) and spend time with them to make sure they’re active and happy. Any other needs I happily take care of with instructions given to suit the needs of your pet and home!

About: I may be new to Rover, but I’m dedicated to providing safe, loving, and dependable care for every pet I meet. I understand that every animal has its own personality and routine, and I’ll take the time to follow your instructions carefully so your pet feels comfortable and secure while you’re away. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to provide plenty of playtime, walks, cuddles, fresh water, meals, and potty breaks based on your pet’s needs. I’ll also keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is happy and well cared for. My goal is to build trust with both you and your pet by treating them with the same kindness, respect, and attention I’d want for my own. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability. This allows me to give pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need instead of rushing through visits. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, and evening care I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine to help them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I believe every pet deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owner is away. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and follow all care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special requests. In a client’s home, I treat both their pet and their home with respect by keeping things clean, maintaining the pet’s normal routine, and making sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. I also provide regular photo and message updates so owners can feel confident that their pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is to create a calm, positive experience that helps pets feel secure until their family returns.

About: I have over 20 years of personal, hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. I regularly support friends and family with their pet care needs, from daily walks and playtime to feeding, companionship, and keeping routines consistent while they’re away. I’m comfortable caring for both energetic pets who love to play and explore, as well as couch-loving companions who prefer quiet company and naps. I have minor experience administering medications and assisting with basic medical care, and I always follow instructions carefully and ask questions when needed. I’m patient, observant, and genuinely love animals—I’m absolutely the person at every gathering who ends up sitting on the floor bonding with the pets. Your pet’s comfort, safety, and happiness are always my top priority. Pet care fits easily into my daily schedule. Outside of caring for my own pets, I’m very open and flexible, which allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, extended visits, and overnight care as needed. I plan my day around the pets I’m responsible for, making sure they get consistent attention, exercise, feeding, and companionship. Whether your pet needs structured activity, relaxed company, or a mix of both, I’m happy to adjust my routine to match theirs. Reliability and clear communication are important to me, and I make sure pet care is never rushed or treated as an afterthought. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I follow all provided instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, and any household preferences. I treat every home with respect and care, making sure your pet’s space stays clean, safe, and calm. I take time to give pets attention and companionship—not just the basics—whether that means playtime, enrichment, or simply sitting with them so they don’t feel alone. I’m observant and communicative, and I provide updates so you know how your pet is doing while you’re away. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and a well-cared-for home. You want photo updates? I got you! :)

Wow! What a great experience with Lakeisha! She was on time, Sat and talked to me about her history…very friendly, asked question about my dog, the whole 9 yards! My 90- pound dog really took to Keisha. She took him on a 30-minute walk and sent video while they walked. He was a well- behaved, happy to be on a walk dog!! I think she and my dog made an instant connect. He was happy when he got back and so was I. Lakeisha will be here 3 days a week and my pup and I look forward to it! I highly recommend Lakeisha!!

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats since I was a kid. I do have a family pet named Munchie back home. Helped volunteer at the animal shelter during my time when I lived OKC. Do not have pets of my own (hopefully soon it will change) but I want to share my love for pets for those who are busy! I work at home Monday and Fridays, office from Wednesday through Thursday. I am free most of the time, especially on weekends. I go in the office latest at 9:00 and out around 4-5 PM. So I can extremely flexible on what you need! I do live in a single bedroom apartment with a front yard with a small gated fenced. I keep my place clean and full of snacks and area for your pet too be as comfortable as needed.

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. My friends and family leave their animals with me when they go on long vacations. It’s always such a joy to have extra cuddles in my home. I currently am not working as I’m going to school for my Masters. I am at home everyday so this gives me time to give your pet all the love. I care for pets taking into considerations all needs. I will do everything I can to ensure your pet is comfortable during their stay. We know how it feels to leave your baby with a literal stranger.

  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
