About: Hello! My name is Hannah. I have a 2 year old professionally trained black lab/German shepherd mix named Ziggy that weighs about 50 lbs. He has been raised around children in our neighborhood and is very well socialized. I've had dogs growing up my entire life and prior to my current dog, I rescued a black lab/pit bull mix that lived 15 wonderful years. I feel passionately that my dog is my family and I understand wanting to leave your baby in the care of someone who will take care of them like you do. I'm the go-to person for my friends when they need someone to watch their animals. I've had experience with boxers, rottweilers, yorkies, chihuahuas, (puppy and senior) and everything in between. After many years, I decided to go back to school to get my Master's in Humanitarian Law. I'm currently on a break from studying because I need to make the money I need to finish my degree. My husband has recently retired and we have been enjoying spending our days with Ziggy in the interim. Taking care of animals allows me to work a flexible schedule and enjoy my time with my family before I go back to school. We frequently take Ziggy swimming, for hikes, and to play with his favorite toy (Chuck-It). Looking forward to hearing from you! I'm currently unemployed and have a very flexible schedule. Our days currently revolve around my husband and I's dog Ziggy. We typically work in our garden, are working on decluttering our house, and are enjoying trying new recipes. We take Ziggy to exercise for at least an hour every day (whether that's walking, swimming, or playing fetch). Our dog is part of our family - he is allowed on the furniture and has a large collection of well-loved toys. We typically work on maintenance training during exercise and meal times. Ziggy knows how to place, shake, sit, and lay down on command (most of the time). We use a gentle lead when walking Ziggy to avoid pulling. Ziggy can be a bit spoiled with his food and sometimes needs a treat in the mix to entice him to eat. In our neighborhood, my husband has known all our neighbors for over 20 years. We bought our home in 2019 to be close to those neighbors and to have a community. While we have a fence that closes off our front yard/street, we took down the fence separating us from our neighbors to encourage that sense of community. On a typical day, we will let Ziggy out in the backyard and look up to see him playing with the neighborhood children (around age 5) out in the backyard. My brother and best friend rent rooms in our house and also love Ziggy dearly. There is a 5 year old cat that is an indoor/outdoor cat. He mostly keeps to himself but is very comfortable around dogs. If watching a dog at your house, I'm comfortable with a long list of requests for care. I'm comfortable administering medication, following a special diet, and/or doing anything that's needed to follow your pet's routine and make them most comfortable. I'm happy to meet ahead of any pet sitting requests if you would like to meet me and introduce me to your pet ahead of your departure. I'm happy to send updates/pictures as often as needed. Although I have the list pretty much memorized, I do keep a list of all foods and essential oils that are toxic to dogs. I've been around a variety of dog personalities and don't mind being patient with dogs that may be more anxious or prone to separation anxiety.

About: I'm Julian, a proud dog dad looking for more canine companions! I’ve had my dogs Lulu for over 13 years and Batman for over 1 year. They are members of my family, just like your dog is for you! I'd love to help you and your furry friend and we will both welcome them to our home. Lulu, Batman and I love going to the dog park to meet other dogs. When your dog is in my care, I will treat them like my own! There's nothing like seeing a wagging tail and happy smile on the face of a dog you're caring for. I promise to make sure that your dog is healthy, happy and comfortable while you're away. Exercise is important to me and I don't rest until the dog is worn out, making sure we both sleep great at night. When you book with me, you can rest assured that you're leaving your dog in the hands of someone both experienced and loving. Your dog will be begging for another visit once they meet me, my wife, Lulu and Batman! P.S. I have once lived with a cat for 4 years and am also comfortable taking care of your feline. Wow! What a great experience with Lakeisha! She was on time, Sat and talked to me about her history…very friendly, asked question about my dog, the whole 9 yards! My 90- pound dog really took to Keisha. She took him on a 30-minute walk and sent video while they walked. He was a well- behaved, happy to be on a walk dog!! I think she and my dog made an instant connect. He was happy when he got back and so was I. Lakeisha will be here 3 days a week and my pup and I look forward to it! I highly recommend Lakeisha!!

About: I’ve been walking dogs and Pet Sitting in Austin for the past year and I’ve gained a great amount of experience with a wide range of pets and their care takers. I love making new furry friends! I am a first grade teacher during the school year but I walk and pet sit during my breaks and weekends. I’m on summer break currently and have ample amounts of free time. I care for pets in my home and others home as if they were my own pets. I give them the utmost care, attention, kindness and love as I would if they were my fur baby and a friend.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life and have experience caring for them at every stage, from energetic puppies to senior dogs who need extra patience and attention. My own beloved dog recently passed away at 16 years old, so I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy to care for a pet. While I’m not quite ready to have a dog of my own again, I truly miss having pets around and would love the opportunity to care for yours when you can’t be there. I’m reliable and committed to making sure every pet feels well cared for in my home. I love spending time with animals and can easily incorporate them into my daily routine. Them being well cared for is my prioritization. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I can provide attentive care, plenty of potty breaks, walks, and playtime throughout the day. I am also quite active, so if the pet needs long walks, they are perfect for my daily walks! Any type of pet fits in my life, from an energetic puppy who needs extra activity to a senior dog or cat who prefers a slower pace. My priority is always making pets feel comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine and any special care instructions so I can minimize stress.

About: I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and needs. That’s why I take the time to get to know them and create a comfortable, stress-free environment whether I’m walking, sitting, or dropping in. I’m also happy to administer medications, follow special diets, or keep up with training cues you’re working on. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life—it’s something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. I’ve structured my schedule to be flexible so I can give each pet my full attention, whether that’s morning walks, midday check-ins, or overnight stays. I’m usually up early and keep my calendar open for pet care bookings throughout the week, including weekends and holidays. What to Expect: ✅ Daily updates with photos and notes ✅ Flexible scheduling ✅ Clean, respectful care of your home ✅ Emergency preparedness & basic pet first aid knowledge ✅ Bonded & insured (if applicable) I know how important it is to feel confident and relaxed when leaving your pet in someone else’s care. Let’s set up a meet & greet—I’d love to learn more about your furry friend and how I can help.

About: Being honest, it has always been incredibly easy for me to connect with pets, especially dogs. I now have a 2 year old shihtzu who I absolutely adore and spoil every day. Sometimes I feel like he needs a little brother or a friend to play with, and even when I’m out with him, you’ll still catch me trying to pet every dog we pass. I simply love them deeply. Before having him, I had a Chihuahua for 13 years, and she taught me so much about unconditional love. I’ve also cared for family and friends’ dogs whenever they needed help. One moment that really showed me how naturally I bond with dogs was during a family beach trip, we found a big Boxer in the backyard who barked nonstop and scared everyone away. I was the only one who tried to approach him calmly and understand him. After spending time talking to him through the fence, he eventually trusted me enough to let me pet him. Soon after, I was able to go into the yard with him, and he turned out to be the sweetest dog. My family was shocked at how naturally and confidently I connected with him. That experience, among many others, made me realize how much I truly understand dogs, their fears, their excitement, their need for love, and how much joy it brings me to care for them. I am a person that love to exercise, love to go out in walks, hiking and also I love to wake up early. I think that a weekly pet routine would be like a peace time for me. I live in an apartment with my husband and our sweet shihtzu. I’m very flexible and always follow any rules or routines you have: feeding times, portions, walks, medication, anything your pet needs. I’m also happy to do a quick free meet-and-greet beforehand so you can feel completely comfortable and confident with me taking care of your treasure!

Nancy is simply amazing — truly a beautiful soul. While we were away for three weeks, she took exceptional care of our German Shepherd and gave us complete peace of mind. She consistently went above and beyond, and even took the time to help my mother with our elderly dog as well. We feel incredibly fortunate and blessed to have found Nancy. I sincerely appreciate everything she has done for our family and cannot thank her enough. Highly recommended.

About: As a dog mom to both a senior dog and a young pup, I understand that every dog has different needs and personalities. I have experience caring for senior dogs, including giving oral medications and providing extra patience and comfort, as well as keeping younger, energetic pups active and engaged. I'll care for your pets like they're my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my routine since I work from home 4 out of 5 weekdays and have weekends free. My schedule is pretty low-key, which gives me the flexibility to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks, walks, playtime, or cuddles or whatever your pup needs to feel comfortable and cared for. I do my best to keep your pet on their normal routine so they feel comfortable while you're away. Whether I'm caring for them in my home or yours, I'll follow their feeding schedule, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I'll also make sure they get plenty of love, attention, and updates, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands.

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life thanks to close friends and family with pets. Growing up, they jokingly called me "the dog whisperer" because I was loved by every dog I met. Whenever I’d visit someone’s house, I would immediately seek out the dogs and spend most of my time playing with them! I started pet sitting with my family 6 years ago, and independently 2.5 years ago. I consider myself a beginner-to-intermediate sitter; while I don't have the consistent lengthy experience of some full-time sitters, I am fully confident in my abilities to handle all of the essential care basics like walking, feeding, and waste clean-up. Currently, I care for a wonderful family's dog and cat whenever they go on vacation (usually for about a week at a time). During these drop-ins, I handle walks and feedings along with plenty of playtime and some litterbox maintenance. I also make it a priority to send frequent photo updates with a quick recap of our day, because I know just how much you miss your babies when you're away! I'm a new grad on summer break so I have a pretty open schedule! I work a part-time job, but if you're booking 2 weeks in advance or more it shouldn't be a problem. If less than 2 weeks still reach out because there's a good chance I'm still available! Safety is very important to me, so I make sure to double check any locks and doors. I know every situation is different, so we would go over any security concerns, house rules, and procedures beforehand.

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats for over seven years and currently share my home with two dogs and two cats, so I understand all the different personalities, quirks, and needs that come with each furry friend. I’ve cared for pets of all ages and energy levels and have five years of experience as a dog owner myself. I’m comfortable giving medications to both cats and dogs, keeping routines consistent, and adjusting my care style based on your pet’s unique character, whether they’re shy, playful, energetic, or a senior who prefers gentle company. Above all, I’m loving, patient, and attentive, and I treat every animal as if they’re my own. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule for pet care. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, and I do my best to schedule them around my work meetings. I’m happy to follow your pet’s feeding, walk, and medication routines exactly as you prefer. I can’t host pets in my home due to roommates, so all of my care takes place in your pet’s own environment where they feel safest and most relaxed. I’m very mindful of routines and instructions, and I make sure doors, gates, and feeding schedules are always handled carefully. Since I work from home, I can coordinate visits around my work meetings and spend quality time with your pet, making sure they feel secure, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
