“Molly was phenomenal with Tucker. She sent such great pictures and updates and seems like she took great care of him. She left the house clean and was responsive and clear in her communication. I’d highly recommend Molly to anyone and looking forward to her caring for Tucker again in the future.”

“Cassidy was an absolute lifesaver! Our sweet Emma came down with a bad stomach bug, and we had to book care with only about 3 hours’ notice. Cassidy not only accepted the last-minute request but showed up right on time, ready to help before we had to head out to a concert. She took wonderful care of Emma while we were gone and kept us updated, which gave us so much peace of mind. Thank you, Cassidy 🐾”

“Carolina took amazing care of our senior dog, Reggie! She provided multiple updates and made sure Reggie was taken care of when we were out of town for 2 days and 1 night. Would highly reccomend Carolina to anyone and we will be hiring her for any future needs. Thank you, Carolina!!”

“Pond ... WOW! There are many things worth praising about this incredible person and pet care giver. My fur baby, Gracie, is the luckiest dog ever! Gracie has Mom (me) and Gracie has Pond. Pond truly has the heart of an animal care giver, the sharp mind of a vet, and the empath abilities to sense and know what Gracie needed and when. Gracie's tail would wag and she would snuggle right up to Pond. I saw it! Gracie wasn't distracted by Mom; she wanted Pond's attention! Gracie has been aging over the time Pond has been caring for her, and Pond just goes with the flow of that. Pond will miss Gracies' sweet sixteen party because they're moving out of state. SO - if you are lucky enough to have Pond in your neighborhood in Austin, TXwe 2 ladies here in College Park MD will be jealous! I trust Pond with my precious baby girl. Pond stayed in my home or did visits, and even had the occasion to bring Gracie to their place. Hire Pond. They are someone you can truly trust with your most valued four legged family members! I truly wish Pond would be around to continue to love on Gracie until Gracie's final days (almost 16 is getting up there!) because of the way Pond cares for her - both in spurts of her energy and in her needing help sometimes up the steps or just her slowing down on walks. Sensitive. Responsible. Caring. Gentle. Fun. Intelligent and amazing Pond. Hire them!”

“Carmen was fantastic. We had asked for her help on such quick notice and she even had time to come to a quick meet and greet with us at the house. She sent tons of photos and updates. We will definitely work with Carmen again. Poppy and Mally loved it.”

“Geoff was great and I’m so glad he was able to house sit my husky, Jacob, when I had to travel to a conference at the last minute. He constantly sent updates with pics and videos and I could tell my pup was a very happy boy to have a friend to play with while I was gone for three day. I highly recommend Geoffrey and would use his services again.”

“Averie was amazing at taking care of our pups and home. The dogs immediately loved her and her energy and she was very responsible and trustworthy right off the bat. Super easy to communicate with and accommodated us for last minute help. We are very grateful for her help and ability to be resourceful when something unexpected came up.”

“Kat is incredible. From our meet and great I could tell Kat was going to be gr8. She’s detail oriented, took notes & it was immediately apparent she is a true animal lover. Ruger may want us to go on vacation again. Multiple daily updates to put our minds at ease allowed us to fully emerge Ourselves in our vacation with full knowledge that our big baby boy was well taken care of! She also took great care of our house and went above and beyond in every category. We will definitely request her services again!”

“Had a same day request and Kenna was there in a pinch! Total lifesaver... She was excellent with my dog and super super polite. 10 out of 10 will totally book with again!”

“Marisa is the best! She came and sat with our dogs during our wedding with pretty short notice. She gave them lots of love, took them outside lots, and even left us a few Polaroids :) we can’t wait to have her back to hang out with the dogs again soon!!”

“Chantelle really helped me out as I needed a last minute booking. She took excellent care of our little dog and sent numerous photos of her day with him. She is very kind, very punctual and very knowledgeable about animals/pets as well. I could see how well cared for our little Beau had been. I plan to book her again and I highly suggest her.”

“Oh goodness Annabelle was terrific!! She kept us updated on Chai several times a day. She left the house in better condition than when she got here. She is officially our go-to house sitter!”

“We love Katie. My dogs (one in particular) can be a menace but she keeps a great eye on him keeping him out of trouble. My dogs are always happy and healthy and my house is clean when I get home.”

About: Hi! I’m Xarissa Alexsondra (legal name Corissa)—please call me Alexsondra. I specialize in cats and also welcome calm, low-energy dogs who only need short potty walks, plus small pets like snakes or fish. I’m available for long-term stays of three weeks or longer only (shorter gigs aren’t a fit). As a person on the autistic spectrum, I feel most at ease with cats and quiet, predictable pets. I’m naturally attuned to body language and individual quirks, and I stay calm and consistent with the routines many cats and introverted dogs prefer. I may seem a bit reserved with new people at first—please be patient. Your pets will get my full, focused attention. I grew up with multiple dogs and cats and have experience with fish, snakes, lizards, hermit crabs, chickens, quail, and ducks. I’m comfortable with cage cleaning, daily feline and canine routines, and the small details that keep animals comfortable. You’ll receive detailed updates and photos so you’ll always know how your pets are doing. I’m reliable, observant, and happiest in the company of cats, calm dogs, and the occasional snake. I’m a homebody with a part-time job that takes me out of the house for 5–8 hours on just one or two days a week. The rest of the week I’m home all day with the cats, or I may step out for a short excursion and then return for the remainder of the day. This rhythm lets me provide calm, consistent care and stick to the quiet routines most cats prefer. I only accept long-term stays of three weeks or longer. I understand the trust it takes to leave your home and pets with someone else, and I take that responsibility seriously. You’ll receive detailed photo updates so you always know how everyone is doing. I care for cats in the client’s home only (I do not board pets in my own space). One of the strengths of being autistic is that I follow clear, straightforward instructions with high precision and consistency. Tell me exactly how you want feeding, litter, medication, play, and any other routines handled, and I will stick to them closely. I’m naturally attuned to feline body language and stay calm and steady, which many cats prefer. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and focused on keeping your cats comfortable and secure.

About: I've cared for dogs since age 18, including three senior pups. Friends and family trust me with pet care, and I love helping dogs. I work Monday thru Friday but I work from home on Monday and Tuesday. I have a one hour lunch Wednesday thru Friday. So I have time to play with pups. I no longer have any dogs of my own, as they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I have a large, unfenced yard with plenty of room to explore. Pups can enjoy free roam of the house or be comfortably crated if needed, depending on their routine and your preferences.
“Delanie was absolutely fantastic! She kept us updated throughout our entire trip with frequent messages and lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. She also let us know right away when our senior dog wasn’t feeling like herself and kept us informed on how she was doing. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dogs and treated them like her own. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pups, and we couldn’t be more grateful. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative dog sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our babies!”

Victoria saved us. We had a last minute trip to Dallas and asked her only a few days out, and she accepted right away. She stayed at our house with Lily, sent tons of photos, and communicated the whole time. Lily was clearly happy and comfortable with her. We've already booked her for our next vacation. Best sitter we've had.

Ryan was incredibly communicative and so playful/attentive with our pets. He sent lots of updates and provided videos and pictures throughout the day. He was really flexible with us as we had some last minute changes and we really appreciated it. Definitely recommend!!

Woody was such a great sitter for our two old men pugs and all of their senior needs, including medications and needing help to get up for potty! They were so well cared for, and our home was as well. I highly recommend Woody for pet sitting, and will absolutely book again.

Our dog was very well taken care of, and we received regular updates on her status, along with pictures. This was our first time using Rover, and Anne completely put our minds at ease knowing our dog was in such good hands. We will definitely be using Anne again soon. We highly recommend her!

Adilene was wonderful with Casper! He was a little under the weather when I left, so I was naturally worried, but she sent me lots of pictures and updates, and I came home to such a happy dog. She also truly went above and beyond when I needed some extra help with Casper, including helping with a few things related to his vet care. She never hesitated and was so kind and helpful throughout. I’m so grateful for the care she gave him!

Jill was fantastic. She communicated with me and sent photos of my dog everyday. She took excellent care of our dog and house. She watered our many plants and kept them alive in 99 degrees heat. I look forward to having her sit for us again. I highly recommend her services.

Tasha was incredible with our Pup, Minnie and we would highly recommend booking with her! From the meet & greet to regular updates while we were gone, she was incredibly proactive and communicative + went above & beyond in every way to make it a great experience for Minnie.

Megan was a lifesaver and was so great with our dogs. We have two very old dogs (16 and 17) who both require a lot care, and Megan was wonderful with both of them. We had never used a dog sitter before, but Megan put our minds at ease knowing that our dogs were being well cared for. We will absolutely use Megan again and couldn't recommend her more, especially for anyone with older pets that need extra TLC.

Alexa was absolutely amazing with my dog, Harley! She stepped in to help me at the last minute when I needed a sitter for my vacation, and I couldn’t be more grateful. From the very beginning, Alexa was incredibly communicative and sent me regular updates and lots of pictures of Harley, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Harley and treated her like one of her own. When I came home, Harley was happy, relaxed, and clearly had been well loved and cared for. Knowing she was in such great hands made it so much easier to enjoy my trip. I would absolutely book with Alexa again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable, and caring pet sitter. Thank you so much, Alexa, for stepping in on such short notice and taking such wonderful care of Harley!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Wells Branch on Rover is $50.27 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 4,524 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wells Branch. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wells Branch walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wells Branch maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wells Branch choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
