Availability
I work solely as a pet care provider so my schedule is dependent on the animals themselves and work most days. I work with each client to determine the needs of how long to be there and how long it’s ok to be away so I can run and care for others etc. I make sure to never leave an animal for too long but with this being my sole profession I do care for multiple pets a day (only one house per overnight pet sitting obviously) so I am unable to sit for animals that need 24/7 continuous nonstop not able to leave for a couple hours care.

Safety is extremely important to me. For dogs, I do not ever walk them without being properly leashed even if they are ok not to be and I don’t run them in their yard without me there watching them. Too many things can happen and I don’t want to risk any issues since safety and happiness go hand in hand. For cats, I treat them all as indoor only for their safety unless given specific instructions as not to do so. I believe in following clear instructions which might include crating, using of gates or what doors to keep open or closed in the house as well as lighting too.

I like to know about the dog’s preferences and any pertinent medical issues. Anything that will make the pet happier, healthier and more comfortable is greatly appreciated. I work with ALL breeds and don’t discriminate on that.
A typical day
I like to find out what each individual pet prefers and engage in activities that suit their specific needs whether it be a nice long (or short) quiet stroll or playing with a ball/ toy and being more energy driven or extra cuddles.

Hi! I’ve been a pet sitter here in Austin for all 6 years I’ve lived here but have been dog walking and pet sitting for most of my life. I have been professionally caring for people’s pets for over 23 years and counting with my own company back in NJ where I started and was fully insured and bonded then and still am to this day. I’ve grown up always having and caring for animals including pet ducks, a goat, horses, lizards, a snake, hermit crabs, fish, gerbils, guinea pig and obviously cats and dogs plus so much more. I’ve also had the pleasure of helping to care for many family’s pets plus friends, friends of friends and so forth that helped lead me towards the path of caring for animals professionally full time and ultimately starting my own business. Over the years I’ve volunteered with several rescue groups that taught me how to work with special needs animals. I was trained in not only basic first aid and medication administration but also have training and experience in caring for pets with a range of physical or emotional “issues”. I work with ALL breeds and judge each animal on their own merit. I love bonding with animals and making lasting connections. I terribly miss all those that I had to leave behind when I moved here as well as all those that had to move and leave me but I’m looking forward to making new relationships and can’t wait to meet your amazing pets!

Tasha is so awesome! She does an amazing job with both my dogs. Especially working with my blind and diabetic guy which is much more of a challenge. We will continue to book Tasha in the future.
We had a last minute trip without pet coverage just two months after adopting our sweet Poppy. We were so nervous to leave her in someone else’s hands so soon. Tasha was incredible. She was flexible, competent, and knowledgeable. Our pre-book meet and greet was thorough and made us feel confident. She asked detailed questions to ensure she knew everything about or dog. She followed our routine perfectly. She left our house spotless at the end of the week. We got daily photos and updates of Poppy that put our minds at ease. She is very professional. Would highly highly recommend to anyone in need of in house pet care.
