“Molly was fantastic with my dogs who are not always great with strangers. My dogs fell in love with her on their first meeting. I felt so comfortable being away for a few days. She sent multiple updates throughout the day with lots of pics. I hope she will come back when I need her.”

“Arturo was super communicative and enthusiastic to give our two cats the best care! He took notes beforehand of little details to remember for them and communicated throughout the sitting - we did not have to worry about our cats in his care. Arturo dealt with one of our cats medical issues very well (including giving liquid medicine 3x a day) and learned their individual quirks and played with them how they liked - Would definitely recommend hiring Arturo!”

About: Hi! I’m Xarissa Alexsondra (legal name Corissa)—please call me Alexsondra. I specialize in cats and also welcome calm, low-energy dogs who only need short potty walks, plus small pets like snakes or fish. I’m available for long-term stays of three weeks or longer only (shorter gigs aren’t a fit). As a person on the autistic spectrum, I feel most at ease with cats and quiet, predictable pets. I’m naturally attuned to body language and individual quirks, and I stay calm and consistent with the routines many cats and introverted dogs prefer. I may seem a bit reserved with new people at first—please be patient. Your pets will get my full, focused attention. I grew up with multiple dogs and cats and have experience with fish, snakes, lizards, hermit crabs, chickens, quail, and ducks. I’m comfortable with cage cleaning, daily feline and canine routines, and the small details that keep animals comfortable. You’ll receive detailed updates and photos so you’ll always know how your pets are doing. I’m reliable, observant, and happiest in the company of cats, calm dogs, and the occasional snake. I’m a homebody with a part-time job that takes me out of the house for 5–8 hours on just one or two days a week. The rest of the week I’m home all day with the cats, or I may step out for a short excursion and then return for the remainder of the day. This rhythm lets me provide calm, consistent care and stick to the quiet routines most cats prefer. I only accept long-term stays of three weeks or longer. I understand the trust it takes to leave your home and pets with someone else, and I take that responsibility seriously. You’ll receive detailed photo updates so you always know how everyone is doing. I care for cats in the client’s home only (I do not board pets in my own space). One of the strengths of being autistic is that I follow clear, straightforward instructions with high precision and consistency. Tell me exactly how you want feeding, litter, medication, play, and any other routines handled, and I will stick to them closely. I’m naturally attuned to feline body language and stay calm and steady, which many cats prefer. I’m reliable, respectful of your home, and focused on keeping your cats comfortable and secure.
“Pond did an excellent job caring for my elderly dog. Pond was prompt and communicative throughout the stay and my house was clean and I'm great shape upon my return. Excellent service.”

“Katterin was amazing! She’s so reliable and very consistent in her outreach. She did an amazing job taking care of my dog and two cats while I was out of town. I felt very secure that everyone was being well cared for. Her service is above and beyond and I will absolutely be using her again in the future.”

“Brandi is great at communicating and understanding my anxious pups needs. George was so happy and relaxed when we came home from a week long trip. I'm so happy he has such a caring new bestie to stay with him when we're out of town.”

About: I’m weifei(that’s my legal name) I go by Vi ! I have a full time WFH job so I’m home all weekdays. Caring for dogs are one of my childhood dreams and I’m loving it (growing up my fam never allow any pet) We have a husky mix (super low energy) at home. He is very well-behaved and get-along with other dogs too. Our pet is a rescued dog so we learned how to take care dog that needs medical care like giving meds and applying topical med. as mentioned before, I've always wanted a dog but growing up my parents never allowed pets. Becoming a dog mom is the best thing as I will care for your pet just as mine. I work from home full-time, so I'm at least home 8 hours a day during business hours. Outside of work, I limit my away time to 2~3 hours if I have other engagements. Each weekend, I'd like to take my pet to the park or lake near our neighborhood for a long fun walk. I live in a safe and pet-friendly neighborhood. I love taking my furry friends for walk once or twice a day. Since I work from home, I can keep an eye on your pet most often. pee break is usually every 2~3 hours. I live in a house with a fenced yard, so your pet can also chill and play with us or just enjoy themselves in the yard.
“Delanie was absolutely fantastic! She kept us updated throughout our entire trip with frequent messages and lots of photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. She also let us know right away when our senior dog wasn’t feeling like herself and kept us informed on how she was doing. It was clear that she genuinely cared about our dogs and treated them like her own. We came home to happy, well-cared-for pups, and we couldn’t be more grateful. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and communicative dog sitter. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our babies!”

“Renada was absolutely amazing! We got lots of pics and constant updates on our pups! We had no worries about their care. I think they miss her now that we’re home! 🤣”

About: Responsibility, patience, and affection. It's about ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of animals. My dogs and I are happy to care for them. D The same routine as my dogs, going out for a walk in the morning, arriving home to eat, rest, give them treats, and in the afternoon another outing to the park I take care of them as if they were my own with the same love, care and affection that I have for my dogs. About: I have cared for dogs and cats most of my life. My parents always had pets and I would walk them, feed them, groom them, and love them. I also have a small Papillon dog. I love animals, there is something so calming about spending time with a fur friend and I would be happy to care for yours when you need. Victoria saved us. We had a last minute trip to Dallas and asked her only a few days out, and she accepted right away. She stayed at our house with Lily, sent tons of photos, and communicated the whole time. Lily was clearly happy and comfortable with her. We've already booked her for our next vacation. Best sitter we've had.

Melissa was one of the best house and pet sitters we've ever had! We met Melissa ahead of the sit to introduce her to Luna and our home, and we immediately felt she was a great fit. She took excellent care of our home and Luna. We came back home to such a happy dog and a spotless house. Our home was exactly as we left it and we could tell Luna was well taken care for with plenty of love. Melissa has a heart of gold and we would highly recommend her. She communicates great, provides updates, and follows care instructions. She's truly one of the best and brings such peace of mind while away. We look forward to having her sit for us again soon!

I really enjoyed having Brittany as a house sitter. She had a wonderful rapport with my dog, and did a great job following instructions and providing feedback. We were in regular communication the entire time I was out of town. I would definitely rebook with Brittany the next time I go on vacation!

This is our second time booking with Kevin and Nhu. This time around it was a two week stay and we couldn't be more pleased with their services. They were extremely communicative and responsive. And took excellent care of our Boxer and home. We will definitely be using them again if we have the opportunity!!

Kaitlan was absolutely amazing! She sent us photos and checked in every single day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We had never used a dog sitter before, and she made it such a wonderful first experience. She also left our house absolutely spotless, which we appreciated so much. We truly couldn’t thank her enough for taking such great care of our home and our pups. Highly recommend!

Chantell was amazing. Our two boys love her. She consistently updated us on how things were at home and with Oak and WInnie, as well as took amazing photos and videos on a multi-times a day basis. We always looked forward to seeing how they were and got lots of pictures of them playing and cuddling and relaxing. Chantell communicated thoroughly about her schedule so we never worried about a thing and our house was left in spotless condition. We know they received the best possible care and I cannot recommend Chantell highly enough.

Elisa did a wonderful job watching our 2 dogs who can take some time to warm up to strangers. She was very kind and patient with them. She kept our house organized and communicated well with us so we felt confident with her care while we were out of town. Will definitely have Elisa again!

Leah & Tyler were awesome with both our puppy and house. When we got home, our Sophie was happier than she has ever been with others staying at house. They truly engaged with our pup and showed her so much love. Our dog has separation anxiety, and I can't think of any better people to stay with her. We are so happy to have found the right folks for our Sophie!

Kacie was wonderful! The dogs clearly had a great time with her, she sent regular updates and photos, and when I had a sudden Chan grew in plans which kept me away for an additional 2 days, she was flexible and so accommodating. I so appreciate her care and the extra time she spent with my pups!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 4,473 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pflugerville. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pflugerville walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pflugerville maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pflugerville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
