“We had a great experience with Amrita! They took wonderful care of my dog, Chotu, and made the whole process stress-free from start to finish. I really appreciated the regular updates, photos, and how attentive they were to Chotu’s needs and routine. It was clear that Chotu was comfortable, happy, and well cared for the entire time. Communication was excellent, and I felt confident knowing my dog was in good hands. I would absolutely book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Janie did a wonderful job taking care of my puppy, I can see that he got plenty of play time and was exhausted when we returned home and feel asleep instantly. Thank you very much!”

“Star was wonderful! She kept me updated all day and sent me tons of pics which I loved. I could tell he was having a blast. She was quick to respond and made sure she knew everything she needed to know about Mufasa. They went on walks and he had a great play date with her dog. I would highly recommend her and definitely contact her again when we are in the area.”

“Needed a last minute day care for Ace my doberman, and was greatful to Mina and Anthony for being available. They kept me updated throughout the day with pics and reports, and had Ace ready to go when picked up. Definitely hope to use them again.”

About: I am CVA certified, I worked as a vet tech and kennel tech, and have lived with many different animals my whole life. Working at the animal hospital has given me the opportunity to work with and understand animals of all different ages and backgrounds. My husband and I are currently working full time at home so we have plenty of time to watch, walk and play with your fur babies! My husband and I live in a 4 bedroom house with a spacious back yard, we have a designated dog area where the dogs can hangout and play with toys as well as a designated dog room for dogs who value their alone time and space!
“I booked a day care service with Benita so her and my dog can get to know each other. The day went very good and Benita sent me a few pictures of my dog while relaxing at her house. I have an older dog that has arthritis issues in hind legs so this visit was also to see if Benita can assist my dog up/down a few steps outside using a support sling.”

“Some of the best doggie sitters out there! Our older little Paco has had a wonderful experience staying with Radha and Bart. Very professional and super attentive! Lovely people who sincerely look after our dog, and send lots of pictures and updates, which we appreciate so much. Highly recommended!!”

“My dog, Chalupa, loved her stay with Marco. Chalupa normally has anxiety but Marco gave her lots of cuddles and belly rubs to help her feel comfortable. I highly recommend Marco.”

“I have an energetic puppy dog and Brenda has been great in helping him learn to stay calm around and older, smaller dog. Everyday that I come to pick him up, he's in a great mood and she even sends me pictures of him throughout the day of him playing and having a good time in the backyard and sleeping in his puppy bed. I couldn't ask for a more responsible individual to care for my puppy. 10 out of 10, would book again!”

“Nicolle is absolutely amazing & a lifesaver! She took my booking on such short notice. She sent plenty of updates, photos, videos and even watched the weather to make sure my pup got proper walks during the rain! Shes so thoughtful, sweet, caring and kind! My pup absolutely loved her and by the second morning when i asked if he was ready to go over he was out the door! I would 100% Book with her again! Thank you Nicolle!!🩷🩷”

About: I've had dogs by my side for 20 plus years. I've cared for scared rescues, seniors, puppies, and high energy fosters. I've potty trained dogs and got my 2 doing a series of tricks. I understand the gentle confidence of the alpha helps dogs trust. My two are good with other dogs and have both been boarded with others and had others in our care. I've got a doggie door and fenced yard with squirrels for entertainment. I've got a nice 3 mile nature loop for walks. Dogs...I love them. I'd be glad to put your mind at ease and have yours hang with my pack. I work from home and have ultimate flexibility at the moment so I can walk dogs on your schedule and adapt to your needs. I don't leave the home for more than a couple hours for errands when I'm sitting. If your needs require something different, I am able to be flexible. We have a doggie door here and an ample fenced yard. I also have 2 other small dogs to keep yours company and play along with. I sometime book two families at once. If one of the dog families is a repeat client, and I have confidence the mix will work, your dog may get an extra playmate or two. If you are uncomfortable with that possibility, just let me know so I don't double book. Because I care for many dogs, please be sure your pups are up to date on their flea treatments to ensure we keep the environment comfortable for all who pass through.

“My 17 month old yellow lab really enjoys her time at Patrick’s. He has a large backyard with structures that the dogs like to play on. She gets the exercise necessary for a growing pup and comes back exhausted. Recommended.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs from German shepherds to yorkies since I was 8 years old! Whether it was my neighbor’s, grandmother’s or my own, I’ve always had such love for furry babies. I’m currently working a flexible hybrid job, that allows me to take my dog, Ralph on many walks every day and stay home with him! I’m open to sharing that time to help out other pet parents who aren’t available to do the same. Although I live in an apartment, we live in a beautiful grassy area near University Boulevard with a dog park onsite. In my home is of course my friendly dog, Ralph, who would love a friend to play with! I’m available to have your dog out all day in my home or crated. I’m also available to care for your fur baby in your home - just let me know which you prefer!
“Fernanda was great watching our pup! She sent pictures and updated us on how our pups first day of daycare with her went. We are so happy to have met Fernanda and can’t wait to rebook again!”

“Phenomenal! I needed to do a 14 mile hike 2 2.4 hours away from home and Homa, living near the hiking destination, took great care of my Rikki while I hiked! Even when my hike took an unexpected couple extra hours, she was so accommodating in making sure Rikki was taken care of until I could return. Would certainly rebook with her again when I come back to finish the other trails! She sent several pictures, and even some super cute ones of him outside!”

“Linda was great to work with! My dog absolutely loved being with her - after the second day he'd go willingly wait in his kennel for the morning pick-ups while I was getting ready for work. Linda was so communicative throughout the day, flexible when my schedule changed, and also very communicative in scheduling the day care. I would hands down use her again! Oh - I also loved receiving the daily cards and updates at the end of each session.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pflugerville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
