“Sinthiana was such a great sitter for our dog she was super sweet and showed us around to where he would be and even kept us updated with pictures which helped us feel better knowing he was having fun with her and the other pups he came back so happy! definitely recommend her when visiting here”

“I am happy I found Elizabeth to watch over Buster! She gives him lots of love and care and treats him like family! She has a great love for animals! She gives lots of photo updates of what Buster is doing throughout the day.”

“I’m very pleased with Tracey. She boarded Noah for a day on a very short notice and was flexible with the drop off and pick up time. I had forgotten to bring Noah’s food and water bowl but she offered to feed him what she had. She sent many updates and pictures throughout the day. Noah had a great time!”

“Qui was absolutely wonderful with Theo. He took the time to really get to know him and care for him like he was his own. He sent daily photos and/or videos to show Theo and Duke having a wonderful day together! Theo can be a bit timid at first but each day when I went to pick Theo up he always ran back to Qui to give him snuggles and kisses. In addition, Qui was super flexible with our schedules and helped to accommodate our pick up and drop off times! We will obviously be using him again in the future! :) Thank you!”

About: Hello there! My partner and I just moved to Austin and have been trying to explore every inch of it whenever possible. Growing up in Hawaii I was a volunteer at the local humane society and no kill shelters off and on for many years which ignited my love of dogs.🐺 💗 After college I spent 2 years as a lead for a busy doggy daycare in Seattle, 1 year as a manager of a dog food / grooming boutique in California, 1 year as a dog trainer in Los Angeles and my partner and I have fostered many dogs before they were adopted. I live in a house with a fenced-in yard with my guy, our 9 year old Husky and our 2 year old Beauceron. We like to play and wonder around our neighborhood with our dogs and I'd love it if your pup could join us! I don’t have a full time job at the moment and my partner works from home, so I have lots of time for walks and enriching activities! Our house has a spacious fenced in yard and multiple bedrooms that can be used for guest dogs. We also have an XL crate and baby gates that we utilize to keep the dogs separate for feeding/ sleeping/ breaks/ and anytime a human is not right there to monitor them. Dogs are never left outside alone, and when we need to leave the house we put every dog in their own space with water and a treat and turn on ring cameras inside to monitor them.
“It was our first time trying out Rover and it did not disappoint. Our dogs loved their stay and we will be booking with Ms. Zhian’s family for more. They were super friendly and welcoming which we really appreciated.”

About: Depending on your dog's energy level and preferences, I can provide leisurely neighborhood walks, backyard play sessions, or longer walks and runs for active dogs. I also have experience taking care of senior dogs, so pills or shots are no issue. One of the biggest advantages I have to offer is that I work from home full-time. This means your dog will receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pup needs frequent potty breaks, extra playtime, medication reminders, or simply enjoys having someone nearby, we're here to help. I live in North Austin in a single-family home with a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. Our home is already designed with dogs in mind, including a doggy door, plenty of toys, enrichment activities, and comfortable places to relax.
About: We have consistently cared for and owned dogs for many years, while also sitting for friends and family. We have experience with older puppies, adults, and senior age dogs, including those needing hands-on care and medications. We live in a very safe neighborhood and take the utmost care to ensure our clients’ pups are well looked after and shown personalized care and attention. You can rest easy knowing your pup is with a dedicated, dog loving family and bonding with our own fur pup Finn. We have a lot of flexibility with our schedule and work from home. Someone is always available at our home to care for and watch over playtime, while maintaining personalized home care routines. We have a fenced-in yard in a safe neighborhood with plenty of room for pups to run and play. We also have our own fur pup Finn who is laid back and loves to socialize with all types of dogs.
About: After losing our beloved senior pup at 16, we discovered how much we loved taking care of friends and family's dogs! Since then we have adopted Penny who gets along fabulously with other dogs, male or female. I'm looking forward to spending time with your dog! We treat all our fur guests as if they were our own. I like to walk twice a day, in the morning and evening. Both my husband and I work from home so one of us is available to care for anything your pup needs. Walk 2Xday always on leash. Usually feed 2Xday. We can let them out to the backyard as needed. Always have fresh water indoors and in the backyard.

About: I’ve cared for pets for over 5 years, including dogs of all sizes and temperaments as well as cats with unique personalities. I’ve helped with puppy training, senior pet care, and even administered oral medications when needed. What sets me apart is my genuine love for animals — I treat every pet as if they’re my own. I understand how important trust and consistency are, so I make sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved at all times. I also enjoy keeping pet parents updated with photos and little stories about their furry friends’ day! In my home, pets have a clean, calm space to relax and play, with constant supervision. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I follow all instructions closely, maintain routines, and ensure doors, gates, and leashes are always secure. I take time to learn about your pet’s habits, triggers, and preferences so I can create a stress-free environment. I believe in positive reinforcement and gentle handling — your pet will always feel safe, loved, and well cared for.
“Loved Lida and her mom! When I picked up my pups after their first daycare, they were happy to see me. But didn’t seem in a big hurry to leave either. That’s high praise since one of my pups is usually happy to leave just about anywhere but our house.”

“Deanna provided amazing care to my husky puppy! She was very accommodating with dropping her off. I could tell my pup was very happy at the end of the day with Deanna, and slept the night away when she got home to me with all the activity she was given. Definitely will be having Deanna host my puppy in the future!”
“Rohan was very helpful with an urgent request. Communication was easy, friendly and clear. My dogs seemed to enjoy the visit. Rohan kept us posted with timely messages and pictures on the dogs' activities. He was even kind enough to return the food bowls cleaned! Very thankful!”

“My dog, Bailey, can be aggressive to new people. Jeff was kind and Bailey warmed up to him in seconds. She seemed happy when I picked her up. I also appreciated Jeff's flexibility in the start and end times.”

About: I have never gone more than 1 year without pets in my home! I have 15+ years experience with both dogs and cats, with a wide range of breeds. I do exceptionally well with both calm and energetic pets. I am a gym rat and animal lover all in one, so whether they need cuddles or play time, I’m the girl they need! Fun fact, I even have a tattoo that says, “some angles choose fur instead of wings” because I sometimes like animals more than people ( LOL ! ) I am a full time entrepreneur and personal trainer, so I have open availability for all of my business ventures, including pet care. If you have special requests or needs, do not hesitate to ask! Pets that board with me will be taken to use the restroom often. They will be walked at least 2-3x a day on a leash where other dogs are allowed (no aggressive dogs to board please!). If you need in-home care for your pet, I am open to following detailed instruction to make sure your pet is cared for entirely!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Jollyville
Sinthiana was great! Kirby had such a great time with her and her pup, and we got so many great pictures and videos. Sinthiana was very communicative and accepted our booking very last minute. Thanks to her he didn’t have to stay home all day alone! We will definitely be booking with her again!

Elizabeth was wonderful. She sent us pics and videos throughout the day! Ollie looked like he was enjoying himself and came home very tired. Elizabeth also communicates with us very well answering any questions I have etc. we have been very pleased with the care she gives our little Ollie.

I appreciate how considerate and intentional Amber is with all the animals she cares for. She made sure my girl was introduced slowly and calmly into the house and with the other dogs. She was also very observant, worked with her to understand her behaviors and clearly gave her a lot of attention. She must have played the whole day because the girl was passed out as soon as we got home. This was the best Rover experience I've had to date!

Val and her husband are the best dog sitters we’ve found in Austin! We’ve gone to a few people now, but our dog Nala loves going back to their place and always leaves super happy. Their dog, Eevee, is also very sweet and Nala has the best time with her! We can tell she gets tons of love and attention there. Val’s also very reliable/trustworthy especially if you have specific instructions for your dog like we do - she makes sure she’s understanding everything correctly and we’ve never had any problems with her not doing something! She even sends photos and updates regularly. Val is our go-to dog sitter now and we love having her around to watch our dog!! We highly recommend her 😊

Ashley took our dog waffle last minute and a lot of times I’m pretty nervous to leave him with someone without a meet and greet but she did a really phenomenal job with him. She quickly learned what he needed and stayed in communication the entire time. He got a lot of exercise throughout the day and came back happy and well taken care of

Scott, Hudson and Tucker are wonderful! We could tell they really care about my little pupper. He went out of his way to make sure my smaller dog was comfortable with his super sweet lab Tucker. Scott is a great and quick communicator. They have a clean house and nice backyard for dogs. Did I mention how sweet and gentle Tucker the lab is? 🐶

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Jollyville commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
