About: From dogs, cats, horses, pigs, sheep, and a rabbit, I have great experience in a wide variety of pets since I was 7. I have a special place in my heart for the herding and retriever breeds and am knowledgeable about the varying grooming, diet, and exercise habits across breeds. My goal is to make your pet feel as if you never left! My work from home schedule allows me to work anywhere with an internet connection. I am not currently able to have any pets in my apartment, and I would enjoy an opportunity to borrow your pet while you're away! A pet that sees me as confident will be a pet with less anxiety and concern in your absence. Be assured that your pet will be treated in the same manner and on the same schedule you have set in your home.

“Jennifer watched our dogs for two weeks and as usual took amazingly good care of them and provided us with frequent updates on how they were doing. We always know they are in good hands. She’s the best!!”
“Tracey was great! She checked in on my cats for a couple of weeks while I was out of town, and she always kept me posted on how they were doing. Super polite and reliable, and gave me peace of mind knowing my critters were getting attention. I'll definitely keep her in mind any time I'm away from home in the future.”

“Brandy is reliable, communicative and kept my cat safe, well fed and cared for. She even brought her own cat toy to play with him, and charged one of his toys to play. She brought in a package that came while I was travelling and overall gave me peace of mind while I was gone - I didn't have to worry about my cat or my apartment at all!”

About: I'm a lover of both cats and dogs, and have worked with and pet sat for many! I've worked especially with a large variety of cats as staff at my local animal shelter, and help care for my family's senior dog as much as I can. This has included newborn kittens and puppies to seniors in need, as well as many that need some extra care and medical attention. With this experience, as well as multiple family friend pet sitting jobs over the years, I'm confident I can assist you with babies of all kinds! I am currently unemployed and would absolutely be able to dedicate as much time as you need to your animals! Please just let me know what works best for you. I am unable to bring animals to my home at the moment with a dog that doesn't get along with others very well, but if you are comfortable with me visiting your residence, I will do my absolute best to make sure your animal is comfortable with me caring for them.
“Rachel took excellent care of our cats with consistent updates, thoughtful attention to routines, and a genuinely calm, caring presence. We came home to happy, well-settled cats and a spotless setup, and we’d gladly book again.”

About: I’ve had many pets over the years since I was a child. I have cared for friends/family pets whenever they needed it. I’ve cared for cats and dogs that range from large to small, so there’s no pet i can’t handle 😌 I am currently a student at Austin Community College, I take my courses online, and that makes my schedule very flexible and able to adapt to most pet care needs Safety is my absolute priority. I always check well being of pets, and ensure they have a safe environment to be in I make sure to follow pet parents instructions and schedules to the letter On walks, I make sure pets remain on their leash and remain mindful of other people and pets I know how hard it is to leave your pet, which is why I provide complete transparency, and send daily updates on your pets 🐕🐈
“Sarah was absolutely AMAZING!! She took such good care of my kitties. She followed all my instructions, was very attentive, cleaned up after them and was never late!! I will DEFINITELY be booking her services again.”

“Juvadee was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of our two cats while we were away, and we felt completely at ease the entire time. She sent us daily photos and videos, which really helped us feel connected and reassured. One of our cats can be a bit difficult, but Juvadee was so patient and kind—continuing to give her attention and grace throughout. It’s clear she genuinely cares about the animals she watches. We’re so grateful to have found her and would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a thoughtful and reliable cat sitter!”

“Geoffrey was great for dropping in to feed and walk my dog, Duke. He was not hesitant to give him lots loving and attention, as well as administer his medicine, despite my dog’s medical issues. He even sent me lots of picture updates. I would recommend him and would book again in the future!”

“Samantha was fantastic. Great communication, booked last minute and Samantha made it as easy as possible. It was comforting while being gone that I knew Alice was in good hands.”

“Stephanie is my go to sitter and understands my 2 silly dogs. One of my dogs is a golden retriever who is scared of her own shadow and needs coaxing sometimes to go for a walk. She is so patient with her and tries so hard to help her feel safe. She's a dream sitter. I trust her so much that I leave her a permanent key to my house for ease of dropping in whenever we call in her.”

About: I got my first dog when I was 12. His name was Sebastion and he was literally my best friend through some tough middle school years. He lived to the ripe old age of 13 and were always together except in my college years. More recently I have been house sitting and dog-sitting for family members and friends. I can not emphasize enough how much animals are drawn to me. It's like a not-so-super-power, I'm always that guy at the party that gets trapped by the dog or cat on the couch (I say trapped but I love it!). When I’m house-sitting, I’m generally there full-time. I am recovering from sciatica at the moment so I’m not working my other job right now. Which means I will be there almost all the time to give your animals all the pets and play they can handle. I take my clients privacy very seriously. I would never invite anyone else over to your house. I am definitely on the introvert side of the personality scale, so I’m quite happy hanging out reading, binging tv and loving on animals. I sometimes joke that I like animals more than humans. I’ve been with Rover for over two years now and have some of the best metrics and reviews in the area. I’ve never had any major issues or emergencies. But, I’ve done quite a bit of research on dog and animal care and have no doubt that I could spot behavior that isn’t normal and that could be medically relevant. I would love to be your pets’ temporary human while you’re away and their forever sitter! I’m recovering from a back injury at the moment so this is my main gig. So I am available for your pets pretty much full time. I will sometimes head to my house for a few hours in afternoon but rarely more than a few hours. I'm not currently living in residences where I can board pets, landlord won't allow it. When i move, which should be soon, I will offer this service.

“So thankful I found Katherine! My regular Rover sitter was not available and Katherine is a GEM! She came over for a pre-trip interview to ask me all about Wolfie and what his routine, health, and likes were as well as picking up keys. She took such good care of Wolfie! Her check in notes are so thorough as were her pictures and I came back to a the most amazing little care package that included photo of Wolfie, treat and a thank you card. Such a nice thing to come home to, thank you Katherine!”

“Lulu was incredibly thorough- offered a walk through, took notes, and followed through on everything for my kitties. She sent detailed updates, photos, and was so kind and attentive to my kitties’ needs! Noticed what they liked/preferred without my mentioning it, so I know they were in great hands. I’m thrilled I found her and will absolutely request for Lulu to take care of my cats whenever I’m out of town!”

About: Hello there! My partner and I just moved to Austin and have been trying to explore every inch of it whenever possible. Growing up in Hawaii I was a volunteer at the local humane society and no kill shelters off and on for many years which ignited my love of dogs.🐺 💗 After college I spent 2 years as a lead for a busy doggy daycare in Seattle, 1 year as a manager of a dog food / grooming boutique in California, 1 year as a dog trainer in Los Angeles and my partner and I have fostered many dogs before they were adopted. I live in a house with a fenced-in yard with my guy, our 9 year old Husky and our 2 year old Beauceron. We like to play and wonder around our neighborhood with our dogs and I'd love it if your pup could join us! I don’t have a full time job at the moment and my partner works from home, so I have lots of time for walks and enriching activities! Our house has a spacious fenced in yard and multiple bedrooms that can be used for guest dogs. We also have an XL crate and baby gates that we utilize to keep the dogs separate for feeding/ sleeping/ breaks/ and anytime a human is not right there to monitor them. Dogs are never left outside alone, and when we need to leave the house we put every dog in their own space with water and a treat and turn on ring cameras inside to monitor them.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Jollyville
Rachel was very thorough, thoughtful, friendly, and loving with our pets. Our shy cats were following her around within a few days and our dog clearly adores her, which says it all! She was great about checking in and asking about anything that came up. I also really enjoyed chatting with her about sourdough!

Sarah was soo great with the boys! They seemed to have really enjoyed her company, and were both very relaxed when we got back home. She was very good about communication, and great with the updates. We really appreciate her help, and will definitely consider her the next time!

We had a wonderful experience with Samantha. She was reliable, communicative, and took great care of our cat while we were away. We especially appreciated her flexibility when our plans changed and she was able to come for an additional day on short notice. She kept us updated, gave us peace of mind, and it was clear that our cat was well cared for and comfortable. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and we look forward to working with her again in the future.

Lulu was our first cat sitter and we will always go to her first! She not only made us feel calm that our cat was in good hands but our cat also loved her. She was very communicative, sent tons of updates and photos, and made us feel like we left Nene in the best hands. She is amazing and will be recommending her to everyone!

Destiny allowed us to put our minds at ease while out of town for a bit over a week. She was great with communicating any updates and keeping us in the loop/providing updates. Her care allowed us to just focus on enjoying our trip without worrying about things back at home.

Madison is the BEST. She takes such great care of our senior pets and the younger ones too! I know that when we are gone she will care for them like they are her own. Madison is also flexible which is so wonderful when senior pets like to do their own thing. Thank you again Madison!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jollyville. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
