“Kaitlyn was wonderful with our 3 cats, one of whom required an eye drop at each visit! She went above and beyond keeping our floors and home tidy; was communicative and easy to work with. It was clear our kitties were well cared for🥰 Thank you!”

“Geoffrey was great for dropping in to feed and walk my dog, Duke. He was not hesitant to give him lots loving and attention, as well as administer his medicine, despite my dog’s medical issues. He even sent me lots of picture updates. I would recommend him and would book again in the future!”

“Ashley is awesome and she's definitely going to be my go to sitter from now on. My dog is very selective about who she shows love to and she loved Ashley right away. Would and will recommend to a close friend”
About: I have over a decade of experience in pet care, so I’ve seen a lot and have dealt with a lot. I frequently foster through APA, so I’m very familiar with different personalities and triggers. I’ve managed a pack of 4 dogs with entirely different personalities and quirks, so I would say I’m pretty seasoned :) I work a hybrid schedule which allows me flexibility to bridge the gap between your schedule and your pup’s usual routine. I have trained my own dogs as well as my family’s dogs, so I will stick to your training cues. As a gen z-er, you can expect lots of pictures, videos, and updates as the day goes on. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend :) I work a hybrid job so I can be flexible with scheduling as much as needed. I will have to work around my work meetings as such but I almost always have some spots in my schedule to make mid-day visits if needed. I live in a house with a fenced yard and I can take them on long walks around the neighborhood as needed. As for your house, I will follow any and all rules to a tee.
“Cheryl’s the absolute best. She’s flexible and takes care of not just the animals but she also takes care of the house. She’s my go-to person, no one else will do. I can’t recommend her enough.”

“Andrea was absolutely great! She provided us a detailed update every visit as well with many pictures. We had her watch our 2 cats and she was so sweet with them. I would definitely recommend her as a reliable sitter!”

About: I got my first dog when I was 12. His name was Sebastion and he was literally my best friend through some tough middle school years. He lived to the ripe old age of 13 and were always together except in my college years. More recently I have been house sitting and dog-sitting for family members and friends. I can not emphasize enough how much animals are drawn to me. It's like a not-so-super-power, I'm always that guy at the party that gets trapped by the dog or cat on the couch (I say trapped but I love it!). When I’m house-sitting, I’m generally there full-time. I am recovering from sciatica at the moment so I’m not working my other job right now. Which means I will be there almost all the time to give your animals all the pets and play they can handle. I take my clients privacy very seriously. I would never invite anyone else over to your house. I am definitely on the introvert side of the personality scale, so I’m quite happy hanging out reading, binging tv and loving on animals. I sometimes joke that I like animals more than humans. I’ve been with Rover for over two years now and have some of the best metrics and reviews in the area. I’ve never had any major issues or emergencies. But, I’ve done quite a bit of research on dog and animal care and have no doubt that I could spot behavior that isn’t normal and that could be medically relevant. I would love to be your pets’ temporary human while you’re away and their forever sitter! I’m recovering from a back injury at the moment so this is my main gig. So I am available for your pets pretty much full time. I will sometimes head to my house for a few hours in afternoon but rarely more than a few hours. I'm not currently living in residences where I can board pets, landlord won't allow it. When i move, which should be soon, I will offer this service.
“Brandy is so pleasant and reliable. She does a great job communicating before, during, and after drop in visits. We are repeat clients and definitely will use her again.”

“Rachel’s services are excellent! We booked her to care for our dog and cat for a week at the last minute. She was incredibly attentive, caring, and communicative while our babies were in her care. She went above and beyond :) We will most definitely reach out to Rachel next time we need a sitter!”

About: I’ve always loved animals. While I’m new to Rover, I’ve cared for dogs and cats ranging from six months to 15 years old. I treat every pet like family and understand that each has its own unique needs. I work part time, so I have a very flexible schedule and can accomodate a variety of pet care needs. I’m available for drop in visits, boarding and lots of love and attention for your pets. I live in a pet-friendly apartment community with several large grassy areas that are perfect for walks, playtime, and potty breaks. I also have a very friendly, playful dog who loves having a buddy around.

“Yuqing was absolutely wonderful to work with! She took such great care of my pets and was flexible with her schedule which we really appreciated! She gave us lots of updates and was a pleasure to communicate with.”

About: Depending on your dog's energy level and preferences, I can provide leisurely neighborhood walks, backyard play sessions, or longer walks and runs for active dogs. I also have experience taking care of senior dogs, so pills or shots are no issue. One of the biggest advantages I have to offer is that I work from home full-time. This means your dog will receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. Whether your pup needs frequent potty breaks, extra playtime, medication reminders, or simply enjoys having someone nearby, we're here to help. I live in North Austin in a single-family home with a large, fully fenced backyard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. Our home is already designed with dogs in mind, including a doggy door, plenty of toys, enrichment activities, and comfortable places to relax.
“Tracey was great! She checked in on my cats for a couple of weeks while I was out of town, and she always kept me posted on how they were doing. Super polite and reliable, and gave me peace of mind knowing my critters were getting attention. I'll definitely keep her in mind any time I'm away from home in the future.”

“Kristie did a wonderful job watching our two boys and giving them some love and attention while we were out of the house for a few days! She came over to make sure they got their evening meal and had some time outside to play and potty. I’ll definitely be reaching out to her again when we need more help with the pups!”

“Sierra was super communicative and helpful!! I don’t usually let people help me take care of my babygirl, and Sierra made sure she was taken care of. She did more than I asked of her which really helped ease a lot of my anxiety! I highly recommend reaching out to her and letting her take care of your babies!”

About: I grew up with cats as young as I can remember. Dogs came later when i was 10. I adore both like children because they need us as much as we need them. Keeping them happy and under control keeps us happy too! I’m looking to care for other animals so i can enjoy time with pets. Those animals will help me get through my recent life event that recently happened. It’s great therapy for me. 🙂 While my apartment is small dog friendly, i prefer to care for animals where they’re familiar as it reduces stress for them. Walking is great exercise for both the dog and me rain or shine. Once your dog understands me, we will play and train for fun. I hope your dog learns a new trick or two with me!
“Sarah was soo great with the boys! They seemed to have really enjoyed her company, and were both very relaxed when we got back home. She was very good about communication, and great with the updates. We really appreciate her help, and will definitely consider her the next time!”

Michelle was perfect! Kept us informed with plenty of photos of our lil'guy, and was even open to popping by if our flight was delayed. Very thoughtful of her! She also has good energy because our kitties cat was definitely starting to warm up to her. Thanks Michelle!

Thank you thank you for watching my girl :) Taylor responded quickly to my request and was very understanding when I responded days later! In our initial meeting I knew she would take the best care of my cat because she asked great questions to really understand Stevie’s schedule. She gave daily updates with great pictures that always made me smile. I was able to travel in peace 💕

Sadie took wonderful care of my kitties! I felt especially reassured when she let me know that even my shy kitty had come out of hiding and was comfortable with her. She provided great updates throughout my trip, and I felt confident that my cats were in very good hands. I would definitely recommend Sadie!

Samantha was truly amazing for a long stay with all 4 animals! Through every drop in she was punctual, provided detailed updates, and lots of photos. We are so appreciative of Samantha for easing our anxiety during an international trip. Definitely recommend!! Thank you

We had another great experience with Mackenzie! Everything was exactly how we left it, and the house was vacuumed just like I asked. Most importantly, our pets were so happy and relaxed when we got home. We definitely recommend her, and we’ll for sure keep her in mind for future bookings.

Emeli was an absolute a fantastic cat sitter! She took incredible care of my cat during every visit. She made sure everything was handled flawlessly, from scooping the litter box, replenishing fresh food, and refilling the water, to taking the time to gently brush him and play with his favorite toys. My cat was completely relaxed and happy around her. What really stood out was her reliability and communication. Emeli was always strictly on time for every scheduled visit and sent detailed updates along with tons of adorable, high-quality photos and videos that immediately put my mind at ease while I was away. Highly recommended to anyone looking for top-notch pet care!

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Jollyville. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
