“Left the “grey boys” with Chia again over the holidays. She’s a natural with our cats. She even helped keep their box clean and tidied up. I’d give her 10 stars if I could.”

“I booked Benita for 3 weeks (4 drop-in visits per week) and she was amazing! She not only took great care of my cat but also went above and beyond by helping with my plants as well. I really appreciated the updates and the peace of mind knowing everything was well looked after. My cat was happy and comfortable throughout. I would definitely rebook her in the future and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter.”

“Marina was wonderful! She communicated right away when booking, came by to meet our dogs ahead of time, and was always punctual for the visit. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing our pups were in great hands. I’ve already booked with her again!”

“Benjamin is absolutely fantastic. He noticed an issue with my pets food and immediately notified me and got the food my dog needed. Would definitely recommend for any pet owner.”

“Annabelle went above and beyond for our boy! She came and checked on him when it was outside her window and didn't ask for anything in return, sent pictures and did everything he needed for him including snuggles and pets.”

About: I used to pet sit when I was a young teen at the apartment complex my mom managed. I’ve grown up with a wide variety of animals and currently have six cats. I love to foster for APA and am experienced in giving medications to cats. I work full time but can wfh and stay overnight at your home if needed. I have reliable transportation and can take your pet to the vet in an emergency as my schedule is flexible. My cats are all indoor only. I believe in regular veterinary care and have two senior cats in my home one of which is on daily medication. I take utmost care to insure my cats do not go outside without me aware . Most of them have no desire to go so it’s fairly easy.
“Mina and Anthony were super easy to schedule with and took great care of my pets. I even had an issue with my stored info and they were kind as we quickly resolved it. Their efforts were appreciated and they sent lots of cute pics from the walk. Even my super picky cat liked them!”

“Great service from Renada. I was hesitant to leave my doggies with a stranger but after we did the meet and greet I felt so at ease. Renada was patient and nice to my dogs, very appreciative of that. She said some suggestions such as getting a radio to help my dogs not feel so lonely, and I can say that helped. If she had any questions/concerns she would keep me in the loop. Updates on the roover card were great, with details and pictures of the visit. She was on time to take out my dogs and if I had any questions she would be available”

“Becky is truly a gem. You can really tell she adores animals and was so patient with our new puppy. Becky was flexible with our last minute needs and helped us out with anything we needed. She was always on time and super fast to respond. I couldn’t imagine anyone better!!!!”

“Ashley is the best! She took wonderful care of our cats while we were out of town for 3 weeks. She sent pictures and updates every visit and took the time to earn their trust. We love that she treated our babies as she would her own. Thank you so much Ashley! You're a gem!”

About: I've been caring for dogs for over 10 years and have had dogs my entire life. Friends, family, and neighbors regularly trust me to dog sit, house sit, and care for both dogs and cats while they're away. I genuinely love animals and enjoy making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable in their own home. I already walk every day, so bringing a pup along is something I truly enjoy! As a postpartum nurse, I'm dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing attentive, compassionate care while keeping you updated with plenty of photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you're away. I work three 12-hour shifts each week, giving me four flexible days for walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I already enjoy daily walks, so caring for pets fits naturally into my routine and allows me to give them plenty of attention and love. I care for every pet as if they were my own by keeping them on their normal routine, providing plenty of love, exercise, playtime, fresh food and water, and lots of attention. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can relax knowing their pet is in good hands.
“Jade was great! Both of my dogs loved her and were excited to see her. My doodle is typically reserved with new people but he loved her. I appreciated Jade’s thoughtful rover cards and I felt safe with her watching my dogs.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. I grew up around dogs and have owned four dogs throughout my life, giving me experience with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. While I wasn’t around many cats growing up because of my dad’s allergies, I quickly fell in love with them and now share my home with two cats of my own. Over the years, I’ve regularly pet sat and walked dogs for friends and family simply because I enjoy spending time with animals. Now, I’m excited to turn that passion into a side gig through Rover. I understand that being away from their family can be stressful for pets, so I always focus on making them feel comfortable, safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. My goal is to treat every pet like they’re part of my own family and give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I do work a full-time job, about 8 hours a day Monday-Friday. However, my hours are pretty flexible through the week so I can work around a schedule. I always make sure the pets feel comfortable with me and listen to their needs! If they are feeling anxious or scared I make sure to be patient and give them the time they need. If they are super cuddly I make sure to give them all the love I can give and play with them! I can take them on walks or play with them around the house!
“Kaitlyn was great at communicating and coordinating visits to check on my cat. She always responded promptly and was incredibly amenable to any requests we had. I was so grateful for the detailed messages about each visit and the photos she took. Exceptional job overall!”

“Crystal is such a sweet and bright person with a real passion for animals! She was an excellent sitter, following all of my requests and showing lots of love to my cat in my absence. She sent pictures every visit of a full food bowl, clean litter, and my happy cat. I vacationed without a worry. Will definitely rebook Crystal when I need to!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Windemere
Tetyana was fantastic! She took excellent care of my two young kittens and followed all of my instructions perfectly. She sent several photos during each visit and stayed for the full 30 minutes every time, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. This was my second time using Rover, and the experience was night and day compared to my first sitter, who only stayed about 10 minutes per visit. Tetyana was reliable, attentive, and clearly cared about my pets. I would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.

Ashley was and has been absolutely fantastic! I came home after a 12 day trip, and my cat seemed so well loved and cared for! Ashley noticed her automatic water fountain seemed a bit dirty and she went out of her way to find a bowl to ensure that the water she was consuming was clean and good. She emptied the litter box, swept up Riot’s room (I know she gets feisty with her cardboard scratching box), and followed every note that I left to the smallest detail. I even asked her to water my larger plants every day while I was away, and they’re flourishing! She is absolutely wonderful and so so so kind. I will endlessly trust her with my little Riot as long as she’s available. Thank you so so so much, Ashley!!

Kaitlyn was amazing!! She went above and beyond - she even came for a meet and a greet with our kitties before we went out of town. Our extremely shy and skittish cats even warmed up to her, and I think that speaks to what kind of person she is. She also kept us super updated with lots of pictures while we were away!

Liz is the greatest !! I have reviewed her like three times already and will keep doing so, because we love her. LOL. She watched our three cats while we were gone for nearly two weeks and I am so grateful to her!! It’s so nice to not have to worry about them while we’re gone. Thank you, Liz!!!!

Having Mina and Antony take care of our babies allows me to feel comfortable leaving them. They are great drop in carers and Dakota enjoys seeing them when they come by. Ernie is even getting friendlier about coming out of hiding when they are there. Thank you so much, Mina and Antony!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Windemere. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
