“Ashley was amazing she was my first time using Rover and made me feel so at ease. She took such good care of my kitties and was very responsive. Highly recommend her!”

“Brandy has become indispensable to us, which is great since she is so reliable. Gus gets so excited when he hears her coming. I think he can actually distinguish the sound of her car because he starts getting worked up before she is even out of her car.”

“Sierra was super communicative and helpful!! I don’t usually let people help me take care of my babygirl, and Sierra made sure she was taken care of. She did more than I asked of her which really helped ease a lot of my anxiety! I highly recommend reaching out to her and letting her take care of your babies!”

About: I've taken care of pets when I was younger, but throughout the past couple of years I haven't cared for many animals. I'll watch a friends dog here and there, but I'd love to get more into animal care. Pets give off special energies and I love how they can make a person feel more comfortable and relaxed. I'd love to have pets when I move into a place of my own, but until then I'll care for yours! Pretty open availability - just get with me on details! Luckily, I work from home full-time, so we should be able to work something out! I'm generally very gentle and patient when it comes to animal care. I strongly believe in listening to the owners needs and methods of caring for their pets as it will allow for me to give your pet the best care possible. I love playtimes and cuddling with dogs and cats, so expect them to receive lots of love! I will happily follow any protocol you have for your pet as long as you clearly communicate that with me beforehand.
About: I have three years of dog training under my belt, I've trained and cared for hundreds of dogs and animals of all varieties. From puppies, to senior dogs, to anxious dogs. From cats, to birds, even to snakes. I currently work in marketing at a 9-5 but am home all weekends and will be remote very soon! I am a homebody and will have 24/7 availability to the animals I am boarding. I have a beautiful dog park behind my place, along with plenty of inside room and cozy beds and blankets, as well as a safe outdoor route to walk them on.
“Andrea came in last minute with short notice and took care of my pup when my family member couldnt make it! She was awesome with my pup and took great care of him in my stead. Definitely super appreciative and grateful that she was available and flexible with the schedule. Overall I was pleased with her response time and how she was understanding of my situation and concerns; she definitely lifted a weight off my shoulders and it definitely sl showcased her love for animals. Until next time Andrea, take care!(:”

“Valerie is awesome! She followed instructions to a T and took such good care of our animals. She also graciously helped us with some additional tasks we needed last minute. Will definitely trust her to watch our babies again!”

“We loved Emily! Our cats had such a great time with her. Honestly they might prefer her now lol She was great at communicating and sending us updates. I felt calm going away for 2 weeks and having her taking care of our cats. I def recommend her as a sitter!”

About: What sets me apart is deep, hands-on experience with trust-building and confidence work across all life stages. I’ve hand-raised a litter of seven newborn kittens, animals with disabilities, and been a dad to many rescues. Most recently, I was a dad to a rescue pitbull for over 12 years, a relationship that required patience, structure, and calm leadership. Together we learned how to overcome his history of abuse and worked to feel safe around people and in the world. Through that experience, I developed strong skills in reading body language, respecting boundaries, reinforcing positive behaviors, and creating predictable routines that help dogs feel secure. I do not use or condone aversive techniques; I rely exclusively on positive, reward-based handling, and if a dog arrives with aversive equipment, (such as a choke or prong collar), I will replace it with a safer alternative while they are in my care. I’m especially comfortable supporting anxious, sensitive, senior, and high-energy dogs, including strong or behaviorally reactive breeds, and I prioritize safety, trust, and emotional well-being. Pet care has alway been part of my daily life. Meal times, walk times, nap times, play times… I’m familiar and flexible with meeting the routine needs of our fur babies. Every animal is unique, so I rely heavily on responsible owners to communicate the type and level of care that suits their fur baby best. I live in an apartment, and I understand the space needs for larger animals. I accommodate this by being active outside. The apartment dog park, the local pond, and neighboring trails are my go-tos for regular leg-stretching.
“Rachel’s services are excellent! We booked her to care for our dog and cat for a week at the last minute. She was incredibly attentive, caring, and communicative while our babies were in her care. She went above and beyond :) We will most definitely reach out to Rachel next time we need a sitter!”

“Prayas did a fantastic job caring for my dogs. He gave them cuddles fed and watered them and was super attentive. He had no issue handling both dogs and was a great communicator”

About: I have over a decade of experience in pet care, so I’ve seen a lot and have dealt with a lot. I frequently foster through APA, so I’m very familiar with different personalities and triggers. I’ve managed a pack of 4 dogs with entirely different personalities and quirks, so I would say I’m pretty seasoned :) I work a hybrid schedule which allows me flexibility to bridge the gap between your schedule and your pup’s usual routine. I have trained my own dogs as well as my family’s dogs, so I will stick to your training cues. As a gen z-er, you can expect lots of pictures, videos, and updates as the day goes on. I’m looking forward to meeting you and your furry friend :) I work a hybrid job so I can be flexible with scheduling as much as needed. I will have to work around my work meetings as such but I almost always have some spots in my schedule to make mid-day visits if needed. I live in a house with a fenced yard and I can take them on long walks around the neighborhood as needed. As for your house, I will follow any and all rules to a tee.

“Katie did an amazing job caring for our sweet but anxious dog. She went above and beyond to make sure our dog felt safe in our absence and gave her lots of love and walks. Her communication was excellent and included lots of photos, which we absolutely loved! We will definitely be using Katie again and would recommend her to anyone!”

“Andrea is a super reliable petsitter. She spent good amount of time with my dog each time and my dog seems to be happy with her (I have a camera in the common room to check when I’m free, and Andrea is totally cool with that). I wanted to tip her more than 30% but the app didn’t let me. She deserves a big tip than what she charges.”

About: From dogs, cats, horses, pigs, sheep, and a rabbit, I have great experience in a wide variety of pets since I was 7. I have a special place in my heart for the herding and retriever breeds and am knowledgeable about the varying grooming, diet, and exercise habits across breeds. My goal is to make your pet feel as if you never left! My work from home schedule allows me to work anywhere with an internet connection. I am not currently able to have any pets in my apartment, and I would enjoy an opportunity to borrow your pet while you're away! A pet that sees me as confident will be a pet with less anxiety and concern in your absence. Be assured that your pet will be treated in the same manner and on the same schedule you have set in your home.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Anderson Mill
Catherine arrived on time each time and was very caring to the cat. She carefully cleaned the litter, refilled food and water, pet the cat and took pictures to share with me. The preview visit was also very helpful to meet each other and understand the needs. I would book her service again in the future when we are out of town.

We are so appreciate of Hannah helping us navigate a difficult situation with our pets while we were on vacation. I really trusted her and she absolutely delivered. Absolutely recommend if you are nervous about a medical need or delicate situation. She’s the sweetest.
Sarah was fantastic to work with, keeping in close touch and updated with timing if she was running late or early. She kept our kitty happy while we were away and made sure to clean up a mess due to separation anxiety. It's good to know that we can rely on Sarah to reduce anxiety. Thanks again!

Briana took great care of our kitty! She was able to get our shy girl to warm up to her, gave her meds, and spent extra time with her so she wouldn't be lonely. :) We had plenty of updates with pictures along the way. We will certainly use her services again if given the chance!

Rachel was very thorough, thoughtful, friendly, and loving with our pets. Our shy cats were following her around within a few days and our dog clearly adores her, which says it all! She was great about checking in and asking about anything that came up. I also really enjoyed chatting with her about sourdough!

Shadi has been awesome!! She is very gentle and warm with cats. She has great skills in taking care of cats and spending quality time giving care to my cat. She was willing to accomodate my requests in additional care. I am very grateful for her services and I couldn't recommend her more! Thank you Shadi!!!

Lulu was our first cat sitter and we will always go to her first! She not only made us feel calm that our cat was in good hands but our cat also loved her. She was very communicative, sent tons of updates and photos, and made us feel like we left Nene in the best hands. She is amazing and will be recommending her to everyone!

Destiny allowed us to put our minds at ease while out of town for a bit over a week. She was great with communicating any updates and keeping us in the loop/providing updates. Her care allowed us to just focus on enjoying our trip without worrying about things back at home.

Madison is the BEST. She takes such great care of our senior pets and the younger ones too! I know that when we are gone she will care for them like they are her own. Madison is also flexible which is so wonderful when senior pets like to do their own thing. Thank you again Madison!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
