Warm Heart for Every Pet I Care For
Hi there! I'm Marilia, a long-time pet parent with 10+ years of experience taking care of pets and also volunteering at animal non-profit organizations. I'd be thrilled to take care of your fur babies! Aside from being a mom to a sweetheart pitbull rescue named Lola and two senior cats named George and Ringo, some of my experience with animal care includes fostering bottle-fed kittens for the Williamson County Animal Shelter and volunteering at Safe in Austin taking care of special needs cows, pigs, goats and dogs. Before moving to Cedar Park I lived in Virginia where I had the opportunity to volunteer at EquiKids, a non-profit organization that offers therapeutic horse riding for kids. I'm a professional photographer, who's currently taking a break and focusing on spending more time surrounded by animals, which is a deep passion of mine, but as a photography lover, it means that I always have my camera with me and I'm ready to snap lots of portraits of your pets during my visits :)

I’m totally comfortable with pets of all breeds and sizes and I’ve got plenty of experience giving meds to both dogs and cats (no sweat!). During my drop-in visits, your pet can count on fresh food, clean water, potty breaks or litter scooping, any necessary meds, and most importantly… loads of playtime, snuggles, and TLC. I’m all about making sure your furry friend feels happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. As a fellow pet parent, I know how reassuring good communication is. That’s why every visit comes with plenty of cute photo updates and a detailed report of how things went. Need me to water a few plants or grab the mail? Happy to help at no extra charge!

Marilia was great with my cat. She was kind and observant. She was also very organized and she came prepared, making notes when we earlier met to learn about my cat’s schedule. I would highly recommend her and will work with her again in the future.
I’d never booked a cat sitter before Marilia, but she made me feel so at ease and so much better about leaving my Luna. It’s really clear she cares a lot about the animals she watches over. Luna is a little nervous around new people but felt so comfortable around Marilia really quickly. I’ll rebook with her any time I have to go away.
