“Ashley was amazing she was my first time using Rover and made me feel so at ease. She took such good care of my kitties and was very responsive. Highly recommend her!”

“We booked Amber to drop in on our dogs after a meet and greet. I am impressed with Amber’s professionalism from the moment we first communicated, to her punctuality, and patience with me as I learn Rover’s system for the first time. Amber also displayed appropriate knowledge of reading my dog’s behavior and treating my pets with kindness. I plan to use Amber’s services for our future needs.”

About: I have three years of dog training under my belt, I've trained and cared for hundreds of dogs and animals of all varieties. From puppies, to senior dogs, to anxious dogs. From cats, to birds, even to snakes. I currently work in marketing at a 9-5 but am home all weekends and will be remote very soon! I am a homebody and will have 24/7 availability to the animals I am boarding. I have a beautiful dog park behind my place, along with plenty of inside room and cozy beds and blankets, as well as a safe outdoor route to walk them on.
“Rachel is the absolute best sitter! She has easily become part of our family and Brew loves her. Brew even had an accident and Rachel went above and beyond to clean it up, make sure he got his energy out, and tuck him back in when she left. We appreciate you!”

“We loved Emily! Our cats had such a great time with her. Honestly they might prefer her now lol She was great at communicating and sending us updates. I felt calm going away for 2 weeks and having her taking care of our cats. I def recommend her as a sitter!”

“Sierra was super communicative and helpful!! I don’t usually let people help me take care of my babygirl, and Sierra made sure she was taken care of. She did more than I asked of her which really helped ease a lot of my anxiety! I highly recommend reaching out to her and letting her take care of your babies!”

“Cheryal is a wonderful cat sitter! We recently lost 3 of our sitters all at once. After interviewing a few Rovers, Cheryal was the only person whose primary care was for cats. After 5 days, our boy is content, properly fed, and while you can tell he missed us, his anxiety is low for our string out cat ?. She's also a great communicator and made sure we got our daily pic fix. We will definitely use Cheryal again.”

I will have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I am young and fit, so I am very comfortable taking your pet for a long walk as well as just hanging out and spending time with them if that is more their speed. I am a clean person and have experience with caring for dogs in their own homes.
“Lauren is amazing! She's super communicative, responsible, open, and treats your pet like they're her own. She sent pictures every day, which really reassured me and let me know my cat was in good hands ❤️”

“Sarah did an amazing job caring for my dog Harley. Despite the freezing temps, she showed up and took him on walks twice today. She also sent detailed updates and photos, which gave me much needed peace of mind while I was on my trip. It’s clear Sarah is responsible, professional and genuinely cares about animals!”

About: I’ve cared for animals my entire life—rescues, purebreds, young, senior, feathered, and scaled. My deep love for animals drives me to provide attentive, compassionate care to every pet as if they were my own. I have hands-on experience with pets who have medical needs, including diabetes, and understand the stress that can come with managing those conditions. I aim to offer not just reliable care, but true peace of mind for pet parents. I’m currently in Cedar Park, TX and available for pet sitting and dog walking through August 17th. After that, I’ll be heading to CU Boulder for my freshman year. As a student, I’ll have a busy schedule but plan to continue pet sitting when possible. I have my own car, so I’m flexible with travel and timing while I’m in town! I’m happy to pet sit in your home and will always leave your space just as I found it—clean, respectful, and well cared for. Whether you need overnight stays, drop-in visits, or just walks, I’m flexible and here to help however you need!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Volente. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
