“I would highly recommend hiring Erica! She was responsive, great with our kitty, and gave amazing updates daily. It was really helpful knowing she was taking such good care of our girl every day while we were gone.”

“Lucia is amazing with our cats! We absolutely adore her. One of our cats is usually pretty shy, but with Lucia, she turns into a total lovebug rolling around and completely at ease. We also really appreciate the photo updates and check-ins. It’s such a comfort knowing they’re in such caring hands. Lucia is the best!”

“Jenny did an excellent job taking care of my cat! I really appreciated all the pictures she took and the descriptive notes she left after each visit. I felt completely at ease while I was out of town knowing she was in good hands! :)”

About: I've been caring for animals for years, both my own and those of friends and family, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality. I currently have two indoor cats, including one I rescued as a tiny feral kitten, so I understand the importance of patience, building trust, and creating a safe environment. I'm experienced with administering medications, following detailed care instructions, and providing plenty of playtime, enrichment, and affection while respecting each pet's comfort level. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, or senior, I'll care for them as if they were my own and keep you updated every step of the way. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets behind, so my goal is to give you peace of mind by providing reliable, attentive care and plenty of updates while you're away. I work full-time from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day rather than only before and after work. My daily routine already revolves around caring for my own pets, so adding visits, walks, playtime, feedings, or check-ins fits in naturally. I have the flexibility to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and weekend care, and I prioritize keeping each pet's routine as consistent as possible. Whether your pet needs companionship, medication, or simply someone to make sure everything is just right while you're away, I'll provide dependable care and regular updates for your peace of mind. I understand that inviting someone into your home—and trusting them with your pet—is a big decision. I treat every home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own, following your instructions closely and maintaining your pet's routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I'll make sure doors, gates, and windows are secure, keep food, water, litter boxes, and living areas clean, and pay close attention to any changes in behavior or health. You'll receive regular updates with photos, and if anything seems out of the ordinary, I'll communicate with you promptly. My goal is to provide dependable, stress-free care so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet and home are in good hands.

About: I have been a dog lover and pet owner my entire life. I do have morning shifts on Saturday & Sundays (8am-3pm), but other than that I am fully available. I have also been using the bambino app to provide Babysitting services for the past two years. I have cared for over 33 families and I would be happy to share some reviews with you if you’d like. I can’t wait to meet your pet! I’ll have plenty of time to play with your animals because I only work part time on weekends! I am currently out of school for the summer, so I’ll be able to spend lots of time with them and make sure they are having a great time. Caring for pets in my own home would look like playing with them, taking them for walks in my neighborhood, making sure they are well taken care, of and making them happy! My home has a yard for pets to play in or go potty. We have plenty of walking trails in the neighborhood as well. I also have a pet cube, so when I leave the house for my part time job, I can check in with your pet on the pet cube. I only work 2 days/week (7hr shift), so I will have plenty of time with your pet!

I plan on getting my dog training certificate and becoming a certified dog trainer! I currently have no job, and will be free to watch your pets any time, and don’t plan on working another full time job for a while, so I should be free whenever :) I can take your pet on walks, of course feed them, you may catch me and them becoming best friends, and I’ll make sure your pets have the best time of their life!

“I completely dropped the ball today and didn’t answer my phone when Lilyanna was trying to get ahold of me. She was so patient and kind and even stayed a bit later with the pups. Absolutely wonderful person and we always appreciate her help!”

“Outstanding! Samantha is so kind and easy to work with. She’s communicative and sends great pictures and updates about your pet which brings comfort and peace of mind while you’re away. It was my first time using Rover and I already will be booking her again the next time I’m out of town!”

“Pamela was very thorough with her care for our cat. She took the time to try to play with her, which no other cat sitter has tried to do with Jade. Unfortunately, she is one of those cats who is only comfortable around us. We would feel comfortable with Pamela caring for her in the future and would ask her to return.”

“Deonna was a blessing to have sitting both of our cats! She was very thorough following my care instructions and bonded with one of my more shy and timid felines pet 🐈. I loved the daily reviews from the visits and pics as well kept me from any worries. I would definitely have her care for my cat's again!”

“Adriene was the BEST! She gave us total peace of mind leaving our elderly kitties at home while away for holiday vacation. One of our kitties hasn’t been doing well and needs daily meds so we were a bit anxious about leaving her, but Adriene was super reliable dropping in everyday to take care of her. We will definitely book with Adriene again!”

About: I’ve had pets since I was a little girl and have passed the love I have for them down to my dog loving kiddos too! I currently don’t have any pets, so my time at home with my daughter is pretty free. We volunteer at APA, but would love a dog at home too! We make sure to have fun with them and give them lots of love. We also always make sure that they are on the best behavior and don’t miss out on being polite around furniture and such. Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Briarcliff
Lisa is awesome! She did such an amazing job taking care of our cat while we were away. She went above and beyond to make sure he had everything he needed while sending us pics and spending quality time with him. She is a total sweetheart and we’d be lucky to have her back again in the future!

Laura was great with our senior kitty! She was very communicative and punctual during her visits and sent us tons of great pictures! We had an incident where Dominoes accidentally left pizza at our front step and Laura went out of her way to call Dominoes to have someone come and clean it up. Thank you Laura!!

Amy was spectacular! She watched our 2 cats while we were away in Europe. One of our cats is highly social, the other one is very very shy and difficult to get out of her shell. Amy spent a lot of quality time with the social cat, but even managed to get our shy cat to warm up to her. She also took a lot of great photos! I can't recommend her enough!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Briarcliff. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
