Safety, trust & environment
I am CPR certified for canines and felines through the RECOVER Initiative, which is recognized by ACVECC (American College of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care) and VECCS (Veterinary Emergency Critical Care Society). My CPR certification is valid until November 2027 I prefer all clients provide a command word list when booking, to ensure I'm speaking your pet's lingo. A command word list is required for dogs under the age of 12 months. As dogs are still in the training process, commands must be consistent to prevent issues Please advise if there are any triggers for your pets, such as areas they don't like to be pet, reactive behaviors or tense situations your pet has experienced so I can ensure to assist your pet in avoiding an environment they deem stressful or dangerous (Examples: other dogs, cats, wild animals, cars, lawn equipment, people wearing hats, etc.)
Information Jessica M. would like to know about your pet
Please advise upon booking if your pet needs to be fed, given any medication or has allergies. My standard drop-ins do not include feeding, treats or medication administration unless the owner has provided instructions. I love giving pets treats but understand that some pets are on special diets and sometimes treats need to be counted
A typical day
A standard drop-in visit will include potty breaks, play time, and/or cuddle time. If your pet has any favorite nicknames, toys, sniff spots or scratch spots, I'd love to get all of the details to make sure they are getting the maximum enjoyment out of each visit. Let me know if they prefer fetch, sniffing around, tug-o-war, or just cuddles For dog walking, I prefer to follow your pet's lead, unless you specify a route you would like me to take them on. Walks are a very important time for dogs to survey the surrounding area and I always allow them to take their time sniffing around. I do not allow pets to sniff hazardous materials or waste and they will be redirected. Please advise as to any routes to avoid or any triggers/stressors you've encountered when walking, as I would like to minimize those moments and need to be ready to act accordingly For In-Home visits, I will be available from 8PM-8AM to care for your pets. I will return every 2-4 hours to provide potty breaks, walks and play with your pets between 8AM-8PM. I will need to know your pet's feeding schedule and any other care details necessary to make them feel as if you never left

Pet care experience
I provide care for all types of pets! (Dogs, cats, fish, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, horses, donkeys, goats, etc.) I have a certification to administer CPR for dogs and cats, valid until November 2027. I was trained in 2015 for dog safety and care, prior to working at a dog park I have 3 years of experience caring for an elderly dog with dementia and several years of experience caring for blind dogs. I spent two years caring for an elderly dog (cataracts), and a younger dog since 2021 (pannus) I have 5 years of experience with puppy care and training. I require a command word list prior to caring for puppies to ensure the dog is not confused and the training process is not subverted I have cared for horses, donkeys, goats, and chickens since 2006. I am comfortable feeding farm animals, and I can groom horses for an additional fee. In-person meet and greets are required prior to an initial booking for farm animals I have very little experience caring for birds, snakes, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I will gladly assist with caring for your small mammals, birds, and reptiles. I just ask that we have an in-person meet and greet beforehand to ensure I provide proper care I currently own a cat, 2 dogs, fish, and chickens

Jessica also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews
Jessica is THE BEST EVER dog walker! She loves my baby girl Golden, and Miss Shelby loves her! Jessica is mature, smart, and is exactly what we need.

Jessica was wonderful! Our two cats quickly warmed up to her and she cared for them exactly as I requested. The house was left in perfect condition and we came home to happy pets!
Jessica is clearly a caring person who showed our cats love and attention when we couldn’t be there. The peace of mind that gave us was just what we needed. She was great! Thank you!

Jessica took care of our dog Mel by visiting her at our home while we were traveling, and she did an amazing job. She took such great care of Mel — always attentive, responsible, and very loving. She also sent us daily updates, photos, and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind during our trip. Mel did incredibly well with her, and it was clear she was in excellent hands. We highly recommend Jessica and will definitely book with her again in the future!
