About: Hello there! My partner and I just moved to Austin and have been trying to explore every inch of it whenever possible. Growing up in Hawaii I was a volunteer at the local humane society and no kill shelters off and on for many years which ignited my love of dogs.🐺 💗 After college I spent 2 years as a lead for a busy doggy daycare in Seattle, 1 year as a manager of a dog food / grooming boutique in California, 1 year as a dog trainer in Los Angeles and my partner and I have fostered many dogs before they were adopted. I live in a house with a fenced-in yard with my guy, our 9 year old Husky and our 2 year old Beauceron. We like to play and wonder around our neighborhood with our dogs and I'd love it if your pup could join us! I don’t have a full time job at the moment and my partner works from home, so I have lots of time for walks and enriching activities! Our house has a spacious fenced in yard and multiple bedrooms that can be used for guest dogs. We also have an XL crate and baby gates that we utilize to keep the dogs separate for feeding/ sleeping/ breaks/ and anytime a human is not right there to monitor them. Dogs are never left outside alone, and when we need to leave the house we put every dog in their own space with water and a treat and turn on ring cameras inside to monitor them.
“Lots of room for Nyx to play with other the other dogs. The host was professional and efficient also very nice and straight forward about what she expects. I look forward to the next time for sure”

“Qui was absolutely wonderful with Theo. He took the time to really get to know him and care for him like he was his own. He sent daily photos and/or videos to show Theo and Duke having a wonderful day together! Theo can be a bit timid at first but each day when I went to pick Theo up he always ran back to Qui to give him snuggles and kisses. In addition, Qui was super flexible with our schedules and helped to accommodate our pick up and drop off times! We will obviously be using him again in the future! :) Thank you!”

“Selena is great! Plays so much with my little doggo and and gives her so much attention. I’m sure she is a great fit for anybody and everyone should give her a shot to prove it. Awesome experience and will continue to always book with her.”

“I am happy I found Elizabeth to watch over Buster! She gives him lots of love and care and treats him like family! She has a great love for animals! She gives lots of photo updates of what Buster is doing throughout the day.”

“Tracey is the best, period. We are grateful to her beyond words can express. She looked after our puppy girl Arya and sent us pictures without even asking. Highly recommend Tracey.”

“Buck had an amazing time! Michele is super responsive and such a warm lovely person. She kept me updated with pictures and I know Buck will be more than happy to visit again!”

“I am so happy to have found Lida! I received so many photos and videos during Bentley’s stay, and he was full of smiles. Lida provided updates throughout the day, and it was such a peace of mind knowing he was getting spoiled with love. The communication and overall experience has been 10/10 and I know Bentley will be in good hands with Lida and her family. Thank you!!”

About: I have 8+ years of experience working with dogs. I have worked with different breeds with an understanding of their specific needs and have a keen sense of dog behaviors. I have a flexible schedule and accommodating to pet services on a routine basis, but also last-minute appointments or prolonged services. I will be ready and available to doing new services as well as repeated services. Boarding- I make all animals feel at home in my house, I will always be present if need be or not away for more then 2-3hrs. I will remain in contact with the pet parent and keep updates on their pet(s). I will take them out regularly for pee/poo breaks and exercise. I will feed them as directed and any other care that is needed such as medications, bathing, and topical or therapy treatments. Sitting- I enjoy meeting the animals in their own home, and do my best to always make sure the routines are set in place just as normal when the pet parent(s) are away. I will remain in contact with them and give any updates during the sitting. I will promise to take care of the home and be of service to the pet at all times when needed. Doggy daycare- For the daycare services, they are welcomed into my home. I will set up a routine with the daytime services that are requested by the pet parent(s). Drop Ins- I will do the amounted time that is required, and take excellent care of the pet(s). Do what is required and asked of me by the pet parent(s) for drop-in care. Walks- I will walk the pet(s) as needed and requested by the pet parent(s) and make sure they get the recommended time of walk, exercise needed, as well as monitoring the pet(s) abilities during the service; such as, weather conditions, duration of the walk, exhaustion of the pet(s), and if the pet is needing water when returning from walks.
About: Small dogs for long stays is my great preference. I believe dogs are the greatest companions on earth, and like to have dogs who I can take with me most places. My sitting experience began several years ago when I became a telecommuter, and travel became more possible. Being a pet parent would make that much harder, but Rover allows me to spend time with dogs while keeping a flexible schedule. Pets boarded in my home will seldom be alone for more than a few hours, if at all. For pets I'm staying in their home with, up to 4 hours at a time is possible, but fewer than 2 is more likely for errands or dinner out. I don't anticipate being gone often or for long when sitting. My partner Kyle is rarely with me in sitting due to his schedule, but when boarding with us, dogs may have 4 hands for getting attention, pets, and walks. We live in North Austin. Social dogs I'm sitting are often invited to be my side kick at dinner parties, play dates, and other dog friendly establishments. In the summer months I prefer to go for walks indoors, so Home Depot becomes a regular stop to give dogs the exercise they need without the heat. My care is very pet specific based on pet and parent's needs and wants. I enjoy going to dog friendly establishments but understand it's not appropriate for all dogs. Dogs are welcome to sleep in bed with or near me if they and their humans want. For dogs who have socialization issues, we may be able to arrange for them to meet a dog friendly dog if you'd like. I aim to make their time away from their humans as comfortable as possible.
“Deanna provided amazing care to my husky puppy! She was very accommodating with dropping her off. I could tell my pup was very happy at the end of the day with Deanna, and slept the night away when she got home to me with all the activity she was given. Definitely will be having Deanna host my puppy in the future!”
“Zhian took excellent care of Leo! He got along well with the whole family and they were super attentive to his needs. She sent tons of pictures and updates during Leo’s first stay. Thank you for taking great care of my boy!”

“Excellent! Stanley had a great time and loves being at Paige’s home with her pups. She sent great update pictures throughout the day. Paige is an awesome caregiver and we are definitely going back.”

“Rohan was very helpful with an urgent request. Communication was easy, friendly and clear. My dogs seemed to enjoy the visit. Rohan kept us posted with timely messages and pictures on the dogs' activities. He was even kind enough to return the food bowls cleaned! Very thankful!”

“Stephan (and Bella) had Coyote playing in no time, and napping for much of the evening. He was clearly comfortable and I appreciated the several photo updates Stephan sent! I'd easily use him again.”

Sinthiana was great! Kirby had such a great time with her and her pup, and we got so many great pictures and videos. Sinthiana was very communicative and accepted our booking very last minute. Thanks to her he didn’t have to stay home all day alone! We will definitely be booking with her again!

Sadie had a great time staying at Michele’s when my husband and I took a last minute day trip out of town. Michele provided us updates with photos throughout the day, which we appreciated! She was very kind and we can tell she really loves and cares for all the dogs that come to her place! We will definitely consider booking with Michele again in the future :)

I appreciate how considerate and intentional Amber is with all the animals she cares for. She made sure my girl was introduced slowly and calmly into the house and with the other dogs. She was also very observant, worked with her to understand her behaviors and clearly gave her a lot of attention. She must have played the whole day because the girl was passed out as soon as we got home. This was the best Rover experience I've had to date!

Val and her husband are the best dog sitters we’ve found in Austin! We’ve gone to a few people now, but our dog Nala loves going back to their place and always leaves super happy. Their dog, Eevee, is also very sweet and Nala has the best time with her! We can tell she gets tons of love and attention there. Val’s also very reliable/trustworthy especially if you have specific instructions for your dog like we do - she makes sure she’s understanding everything correctly and we’ve never had any problems with her not doing something! She even sends photos and updates regularly. Val is our go-to dog sitter now and we love having her around to watch our dog!! We highly recommend her 😊

This is the first time we used Rover app to find the dog sitter. The process was simple, and Lauren was very responsive to my inquiries and questions. During the stay, we received multiple updates/photos from Lauren. We felt at ease leaving our dog with Lauren. When we picked up our dog, he was calm and happy, no sign of anxiety. I bet he enjoyed his time at Lauren’s house. We are grateful for her care.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
