“I am happy I found Elizabeth to watch over Buster! She gives him lots of love and care and treats him like family! She has a great love for animals! She gives lots of photo updates of what Buster is doing throughout the day.”

“This was my first time using Rover, so I was a bit nervous leaving my pup. Tracey put my worries at ease and provided a great day care for my dog while I was away, she sent pictures during the day which was a nice touch. I would highly recommend her services.”

“Qui was absolutely wonderful with Theo. He took the time to really get to know him and care for him like he was his own. He sent daily photos and/or videos to show Theo and Duke having a wonderful day together! Theo can be a bit timid at first but each day when I went to pick Theo up he always ran back to Qui to give him snuggles and kisses. In addition, Qui was super flexible with our schedules and helped to accommodate our pick up and drop off times! We will obviously be using him again in the future! :) Thank you!”

“Selena is great! Plays so much with my little doggo and and gives her so much attention. I’m sure she is a great fit for anybody and everyone should give her a shot to prove it. Awesome experience and will continue to always book with her.”

“Loved Lida and her mom! When I picked up my pups after their first daycare, they were happy to see me. But didn’t seem in a big hurry to leave either. That’s high praise since one of my pups is usually happy to leave just about anywhere but our house.”

“Deanna was perfect taking care of my doberman puppy! She followed all of the instructions I gave and made sure Kobe was well taken care of and supervised the entire time. I was nervous since this was the first time I had someone sit my two month old baby but Deanna sent me lots of pictures and was very accommodating!”

About: Since moving to the USA two years ago, I have missed the joy of having pets in my home. I am an avid animal lover with a deep sense of responsibility, and I’m looking to share that affection with your furry family members. We provide a calm, supervised, and loving environment where your pet will be treated like one of our own. My part-time remote work schedule means I am home throughout the week to provide consistent care and cuddles. I am available for walks during the early morning (7:30 AM – 12:00 PM) to get their energy out, or in the late afternoon and evening (4:00 PM – 8:00 PM). “Buck had an amazing time! Michele is super responsive and such a warm lovely person. She kept me updated with pictures and I know Buck will be more than happy to visit again!”

About: My family and I have taken care of dogs and cats for years. We also have our own small Pomeranian who is happy and healthy. My husband and I both telecommute full time. My mom also lives next door. So there is basically someone home almost always. We are home in the evenings thanks to having two small kids (6&9) We usually go out to parks and outdoor restaurants on the weekends where we can take our dog with us. I have a fenced yard and our 4 year old (spayed) Pomeranian - Cookie - who loves a good play-pal. Cookie sleeps in a crate at night so I can easily do the same for your doggo. They can even have their own room if you prefer! We treat our dog as part of the family-she can hang on our couch and lounge with us - and yours would be treated no differently! My kids are very chill and know how to gently interact with animals very well. As for cats, we love them too! We’ve had cats in the past and my daughter and I especially love their little personalities and cute faces. Cookie has been around cats too so she will try to play but back off if she gets rejected My schedule is super flexible so its pretty easy to stick to whatever routine your dog is used to at home. We are not heavily scheduled on the weekends either other than maybe having a soccer game to go to. I have a fenced yard with no gaps or ways to get out onto the street. We have baby gates we can put up in our house too if your dog likes to bolt for the front door when it opens.
“Zhian took excellent care of Leo! He got along well with the whole family and they were super attentive to his needs. She sent tons of pictures and updates during Leo’s first stay. Thank you for taking great care of my boy!”

“Stephan (and Bella) had Coyote playing in no time, and napping for much of the evening. He was clearly comfortable and I appreciated the several photo updates Stephan sent! I'd easily use him again.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Anderson Mill
Sinthiana took excellent care of my Husky Aslan. She sent me updates throughout the day and photos during Aslan’s stay. My dog wasn’t feeling well yesterday and she kept a close watch on him throughout the day and updated me. She’s an excellent sitter and I plan on booking with her frequently in the future. I’m extremely happy with the care she provided. Highly recommended!

Sadie had a great time staying at Michele’s when my husband and I took a last minute day trip out of town. Michele provided us updates with photos throughout the day, which we appreciated! She was very kind and we can tell she really loves and cares for all the dogs that come to her place! We will definitely consider booking with Michele again in the future :)

I appreciate how considerate and intentional Amber is with all the animals she cares for. She made sure my girl was introduced slowly and calmly into the house and with the other dogs. She was also very observant, worked with her to understand her behaviors and clearly gave her a lot of attention. She must have played the whole day because the girl was passed out as soon as we got home. This was the best Rover experience I've had to date!

Val and her husband are the best dog sitters we’ve found in Austin! We’ve gone to a few people now, but our dog Nala loves going back to their place and always leaves super happy. Their dog, Eevee, is also very sweet and Nala has the best time with her! We can tell she gets tons of love and attention there. Val’s also very reliable/trustworthy especially if you have specific instructions for your dog like we do - she makes sure she’s understanding everything correctly and we’ve never had any problems with her not doing something! She even sends photos and updates regularly. Val is our go-to dog sitter now and we love having her around to watch our dog!! We highly recommend her 😊

This is the first time we used Rover app to find the dog sitter. The process was simple, and Lauren was very responsive to my inquiries and questions. During the stay, we received multiple updates/photos from Lauren. We felt at ease leaving our dog with Lauren. When we picked up our dog, he was calm and happy, no sign of anxiety. I bet he enjoyed his time at Lauren’s house. We are grateful for her care.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Anderson Mill commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
