“My sweet puppy has awful separation anxiety, she howls and cries for hours if I leave the house or leave her with my Mother-in-law- so I was pretty worried about her behavior when I needed to find a sitter for her. I was so surprised when Star told me how well she did! Pictures throughout the day confirm how happy and relaxed my dog is when she's in Star's care. Star's home environment is clean and calm, with sweet doggies of her own. It has room for both pets who need their own space, and for those who do better with a friendly dog or human nearby. I'm so happy I found such a great sitter for my pup :)”

“Needed a last minute day care for Ace my doberman, and was greatful to Mina and Anthony for being available. They kept me updated throughout the day with pics and reports, and had Ace ready to go when picked up. Definitely hope to use them again.”

“Amazing as always! Kirby always loves going to see Janie and her pups and she takes such good care of him. She always has new toys and activities for the dogs!”

“Liszt took great care of my dog. Lizzy was quick to accept my request and she is extremely polite. Jazz looked like she had a blast! She didn’t want to leave. She fell asleep when we got home which is what I like.”

“My dog, Chalupa, loved her stay with Marco. Chalupa normally has anxiety but Marco gave her lots of cuddles and belly rubs to help her feel comfortable. I highly recommend Marco.”

About: I've had dogs by my side for 20 plus years. I've cared for scared rescues, seniors, puppies, and high energy fosters. I've potty trained dogs and got my 2 doing a series of tricks. I understand the gentle confidence of the alpha helps dogs trust. My two are good with other dogs and have both been boarded with others and had others in our care. I've got a doggie door and fenced yard with squirrels for entertainment. I've got a nice 3 mile nature loop for walks. Dogs...I love them. I'd be glad to put your mind at ease and have yours hang with my pack. I work from home and have ultimate flexibility at the moment so I can walk dogs on your schedule and adapt to your needs. I don't leave the home for more than a couple hours for errands when I'm sitting. If your needs require something different, I am able to be flexible. We have a doggie door here and an ample fenced yard. I also have 2 other small dogs to keep yours company and play along with. I sometime book two families at once. If one of the dog families is a repeat client, and I have confidence the mix will work, your dog may get an extra playmate or two. If you are uncomfortable with that possibility, just let me know so I don't double book. Because I care for many dogs, please be sure your pups are up to date on their flea treatments to ensure we keep the environment comfortable for all who pass through.
“Amrita and her husband have been so amazing with our little girl Zoey. We feel so comfortable leaving Zoey with them and look forward to them watching her in the future.”

About: Turning Stays into Summer Camp Memories 🐾❤ I’m a passionate animal lover with over 20 years of hands-on experience caring for my own pets, along with many years of professional pet sitting and house sitting. My experience spans raising energetic puppies to lovingly caring for senior dogs and those with special needs. My home offers a safe, comfortable environment with a fully secure fenced yard. I enjoy taking leisurely neighborhood walks with the dogs and spending quality time playing fetch in the backyard. Your dog will receive the same attentive, loving care they get at home — and will quickly feel like part of the family. I currently share my home with a sweet, 10-year-old cat and a friendly Maltipoo who is part of the welcome wagon! My Maltipoo is always excited to greet new furry friends and will help your dog feel welcome and loved right away. Both of my pets are comfortable and friendly around dogs, so you can rest assured that your dog will be treated with the same affection and care as if they were my own. I’m highly flexible and will work hard to accommodate your schedule. While I work Monday through Friday away from home, my husband works from home full-time, which means your dog will enjoy 24/7 supervision and loving care. On weekends, we’re both usually home enjoying plenty of cuddles and playtime with our furry guests. I truly look forward to meeting you and your beloved dog(s)! Please feel free to message me with any questions — I’m happy to chat and provide more details. I currently work full-time, but my husband and I are on opposite schedules so someone is usually home throughout the day. The fur babies will take regular potty breaks during the day and evening and love their evening treats! I have a secure fenced in yard & 2 loving furbabies so your pet will have company during their stay! I can easily crate if needed.
About: Responsibility, patience, and affection. It's about ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of animals. My dogs and I are happy to care for them. D The same routine as my dogs, going out for a walk in the morning, arriving home to eat, rest, give them treats, and in the afternoon another outing to the park I take care of them as if they were my own with the same love, care and affection that I have for my dogs. “I booked a day care service with Benita so her and my dog can get to know each other. The day went very good and Benita sent me a few pictures of my dog while relaxing at her house. I have an older dog that has arthritis issues in hind legs so this visit was also to see if Benita can assist my dog up/down a few steps outside using a support sling.”

“Jessica did an excellent job at making me feel safe with leaving my pup under her supervision! She offered a puppy meet up and it was so comforting that she listened to my dogs needs. My pup seems very happy and well cared for after her day at Jessica’s home.”

I’m open to sharing that time to help out other pet parents who aren’t available to do the same. I want to raise our son to grow up with kindness, compassion, and respect for animals, so having pets around is something we truly value as a family. I am also a volunteer at Doodle Dandy Rescue and have fostered pets, so I am comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Today was Annie Valentine's first day with Jes, and it was a great experience. Jes was friendly, easy to communicate with, and kept us updated throughout the day with pictures and a quick check-in, which we really appreciated. It's never easy leaving your dog with someone new, but Jes made the whole process comfortable and stress-free. Annie came home happy, and we look forward to booking with Jes again soon.

Geetanjali took very good care of our Tessa girl. She took her on a walk and even to the park, and sent lots of pictures. She gave me updates throughout the day of what they were up to, which had me reassurance that my dog was getting plenty of attention. I would definitely book with her again.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Windemere commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
