“Jennifer was awesome! I have a timid puppy and she took her time at the introduction to gain his trust. By the end of the day he didn't want to come back with me he was having such a good time playing with her two pups in her huge backyard.”

“Melanie was great! This was our first time leaving our puppy who has some health issues and she was so kind and respectful to what my puppy needed. She would take him out to walks, play, cuddle, and would send pics every day.”

“Sarita was so great with our fur baby Tofu! She watched him for daycare and by the end of the week he didn’t want to come home, he wanted to stay with Sarita and Cosmo! She cares so much about our dog, and treats him like her family. Can’t ask for more. We’ll be booking her again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with a hound and a beagle, and when I was 12 my family got our Havanese, Jasper. I’ve helped take care of him ever since, from his puppy zoomies to now at 11 years old. Because of him, I’m very comfortable with senior care, daily routines, giving medications, and paying attention to the little things that show how a dog is feeling. I recently graduated from university and I’m home full time right now, so my schedule is very flexible. Your pup will get plenty of attention, company, and consistency throughout the day. Jasper is gentle and friendly with other dogs, and he loves having a buddy around, so this is a great way for him to have some company too. My family has used Rover for years, so I know what it feels like to trust someone new with your dog. The sitters who made us feel comfortable were the ones who communicated well, were reliable, and treated Jasper like their own. That’s the kind of sitter I try to be. I want you to feel completely at ease while you’re away, knowing your dog is safe, loved, and cared for like family. If I were choosing a sitter, I’d look for someone patient, present, and genuinely excited to spend time with my dog. That’s the energy I bring. I’m here to make things easy for you and fun for your pup. I recently graduated from university and I’m home full time right now, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my day. I’m usually around the house with Jasper, and my parents are home most of the time too, so pups here get plenty of company. I’m available on both weekdays and weekends, and I try to keep each dog’s routine close to what they’re used to so they feel settled and comfortable. Dogs staying with me can enjoy a fenced backyard and a doggy door for safe, easy outdoor time. I keep a close eye on new pups as they settle in and follow all care instructions, including feeding routines and medications. I know how important updates are, so I’ll send photos and check‑ins to help you feel connected while you’re away.
“Rishmitha has been an fantastic dog sitter with constant updates and care she provided for my puppy. She allows my puppy to have a play pen, play with other dogs and also allowed him to spend some time outside! My felt safe being with her and was excited to see her the second time I dropped him off with her. I will definitely be rebooking with Rishmitha, she’s amazing!!”

“I am happy I found Elizabeth to watch over Buster! She gives him lots of love and care and treats him like family! She has a great love for animals! She gives lots of photo updates of what Buster is doing throughout the day.”

“Brenda was attentive and so so kind to my puppy! She sent pictures and updates throughout the day and made sure I was informed of what was going on. She is well informed about dogs and you can see this in the way she cares for them.”

About: I’m a proud dog mama of my rescue pup, Pickle. He is medium chihuahua mix who loves to run around and go on long walks. I work remotely from home as a project manager for an insurance company and look forward to my lunch breaks where I get to spend time with furry (and not furry) friends. I am experienced with pets of all ages, sizes, and breeds and would love to help you take care of your fur babies. I like to take dogs to a dog park or to walk on the trail and have play dates for the dogs as well. I work remotely from home and it is always great to take a break and spend time with dogs and cats in the evenings, mornings or lunch breaks. I have a little backyard and also a friendly dog who loves other dogs, if you would like for your dog to have company. I will be happy to take your dog on a walk in your neighborhood or have a drop visit to spend time and play with your dog as well.
“We left Leo with Karthik and Xiao for the day and had a wonderful experience! They sent lots of pictures and updates, and it was clear Leo was having a great time and was very well cared for. They were also very accommodating when our pickup was delayed a little, which we really appreciated. We would absolutely leave Leo with them again and highly recommend them!”

About: I have been watching Aussies and other medium-sized dogs for 4 years. Have also been through training classes with my own girl a couple times for leash walking, crate training, etc…my girl likes to play with others, we play fetch and we run circles and go on lots of neighborhood and trail walks. Would love to have a buddy or two to join us! We have one 11yr-old cat, so our dog is acclimated to cats, and we can take one or two on for a play visit (or a chill break if that is what he or she needs). I am home during the work days to ensure care for your pets. I’m able to walk dogs on breaks when the pavement is not too hot, or we can throw a ball around in my fenced yard for a bit. We love to play games with active kitties, too. I have an extra medium-large crate on hand, pet cot, leashes. If your animal has a crating schedule, needs meds, or has specific feeding requirements I am able to accommodate that, just let me know.
“Another wonderful week of daycare for Kountry with Star’s pet services. Communicating is always a breeze when making requests or any adjustments. She always ensures to give you a showing of the activities for the day and plenty of play. Be sure to book with her for your pet services. Highly recommended.”

About: You can count on me to take care of your pups. I am active and can take them for walks but also can snuggle on the couch watching a movie depending on their energy level and needs. I can flex to their specific schedule and needs and I’m happy to give them a treat, scratch that special spot, take pictures or videos for you, and maybe even talk baby talk to them if you need me to. 😜 I work from home so am able to keep your pet company all day and make sure they are getting plenty of fresh air and snuggle time. I have a large, shady yard for playtimes and potty breaks. 2 friendly dogs for fun and company. Several crates if crating is preferred for any time during their stay or if they want some quiet time. Lots of toys and fluffy beds if they enjoy that sort of thing.
“Peanut seems to have done well. He does not show any signs of separation anxiety from being away a couple days. He seems to have liked Winston from the moment they met. Today Joan took Peanut along for a short trip to the Post Office. Peanut seemed disappointed when he was brought right back home. Apparently he was expecting another visit with Winston. We plan to call on Winston for boarding soon.”

“Ana was great! Our Boston terrier was a happy little pup when he arrived home. She sent lots of pictures through out the day and when we had a last minute change up she was extremely understanding and very accommodating! Will definitely be booking again. :)”

About: Hi, I’m Guiselle C, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve shared my life with animals. I grew up on a farm where dogs were part of our family, and according to my dad, if I ever went missing, I could usually be found curled up, sleeping on one of our dogs’ bellies. While I don’t have formal certifications in pet care, growing up surrounded by animals has given me a natural understanding of their needs and emotions. To me, a dog is more than just a pet—they’re a loyal companion who speaks to you with their eyes, waits patiently for you, and offers unconditional love. I like cats too, but I have a special connection with dogs, especially puppies, whose warmth and joy can brighten any home. Your furry friend will be in loving hands with me, and I’ll do everything possible to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. After dropping my kids off at school, I usually take my dog Luna, a loving golden retrI have a flexible schedule and spend most of my day at home, so your dog will receive plenty of attention, potty breaks, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I can usually accommodate your dog's normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, and medications if needed. I occasionally leave the house for errands, but I never leave dogs alone for extended periods. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. Dogs are never left unsupervised in the yard and always have access to fresh water, a clean indoor space, and plenty of attention throughout the day. My home has a securely fenced backyard, and I only accept dogs that are comfortable around children. I follow each owner's feeding, medication, exercise, and sleeping routines as closely as possible to help every dog feel safe and at home. meone is home for most of the day, allowing for frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, and close supervision

About: I’m a caring and reliable pet sitter with experience looking after both dogs and cats. I grew up helping care for family dogs, including walks, playtime, and giving them lots of affection and attention. I’ve also been around cats since I was young, and currently live with two cats, so I understand their different personalities and how to care for them with patience and respect. Having my own puppy has also helped me build practical experience with routines, basic training, supervision, and the patience that young pets need. I know how important it is for pet owners to feel that their animals are in loving and trustworthy hands, and I always do my best to provide calm, attentive, and affectionate care. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to each pet. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, so walks, playtime, feeding, check-ins, and keeping them company are things I’m happy to build into my day. I’m used to caring for pets consistently at home, including my 3-month-old puppy and two cats, so I understand the importance of routine, supervision, patience, and making pets feel safe and comfortable. Whether a pet needs active play, companionship, or a calmer pace, I’m able to adapt to their needs. I believe pets do best when they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for, so I always focus on creating a calm and loving environment. In my home, I care for my puppy and two cats, and they coexist well, which has taught me a lot about supervision, patience, routine, and respecting each pet’s space and personality. I also have a backyard for safe, supervised outdoor time. In a client’s home, I carefully follow their instructions and respect the pet’s routine so they can feel secure, comfortable, and well cared for.
“Alfie had a great stay at Dakshayani's. He got along with their pup really well, and they played a lot, and had a great tume. The communication was easy, and I got enough updates during his stay. I'd definitely recommend them.”

About: I have had cats all my adult life. Sometimes just one but have had up to 4 cats in a space of 5 years. I love cats, I consider mine my babies and will treat yours the same while they spend their time with us. I am very happy to take care of small dogs and any puppies. I have taken care of my families dogs and my friends dogs, they will need to get along with my cats and would like to see you for a meet and greet so I can see how they all do together. I'm home full time, I have 2 cats that love to play. Witcher has an electric litter box but Whiskey has a regular box, I would prefer for you to bring some litter that I can add to the box that I have here that I clean daily. I have different types of toys for them to play with, a tree for them to climb and a short scratcher with a hammock. I have plenty of scratchers, mats, trees and toys. I have a few beds as well. Please feel free to bring your cats favorite things. I like for you to bring a bed/blanket that has the scent of your home so if they can get comfort from them. I give treats to my boys morning, afternoon and night. Sometimes they get catnip in the afternoon instead of treats. Please let me know if you would prefer that your cats not get any nip so I know not to put any out.

Jennifer had great communication before, during, and after the stay. I was hesitant because Stella has a lot of puppy energy still, but I felt she was in good hands and well cared for. Jennifer made me feel at ease that Stella was settling in fine. Stella had a great time and slept the entire the car ride home. It was just what she needed!

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
