What sets me, Melanie, apart is that I have cared for just about any animal. I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, fish, reptiles, and more. My passion for animal care and preservation led me to volunteer in Bolivia, South America and Botswana, Africa. (I have a website for my global animal preservations) I can take care of large dogs, but at someone else's house. I have walked and played with dogs over 100 lbs.

Melanie was fantastic! Super responsive and very friendly and easy to talk to. My dog had a great time hanging out with her all day! She sent lots of pictures and updates throughout the day. Highly recommend!
Melanie was wonderful with Ollie! She watched him for 8 days while I was overseas for work, and it was my first time leaving him since moving to Texas and my first time using Rover here. She immediately put my mind at ease with daily updates, photos, and great communication throughout the stay. Ollie clearly loved spending time with her—especially playing ball and enjoying her spacious backyard! When I picked him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. I’m so grateful to Melanie for taking such great care of my boy while I was away. I would absolutely book with her again. Thank you, Melanie!
Melanie was fantastic with our dogs! We got frequent updates daily. When I picked up the doggies, they clearly loved Melanie and I felt they were very well taken care while we were out of town. Recommend Melanie, very professional, communicative, and would work with her again.

Schedule
At this time, I work from home so I can come by 2 times per day (or 3 based on location, 78681). Before work, lunch, after work if you are near my area in Round Rock.

Safety, trust & environment
How do you care for pets in your home and/or your client's home? This will vary depending on which service you offer. I care for pets based on their needs. I have given medication to both dogs and cats. I have cleaned dog & cats from time to time. I am able to clip toenails, unless they have a fit. My house is pet safe since I don't have any pets at this time. I have a well fenced back yard and the dogs can wander and explore the yard. (see the picture)
A typical day
I care for pets based on their needs. When I come to a house, I can sit on the couch and give them affection, belly rubs, neck rubs, petting, take dogs for a walk, throw balls, tug-of-war, or just feed and clean their areas. My experience is based on the dog’s and cat's needs and the time I have available. I can come over for quick affection and feeding. Normally I do 15 – 20 minute walk, but can do more on request. If I walk the dog/dogs for over 30 minutes I request adding a tip please.
