“Always above and beyond for Kountry. Truly appreciate the accommodations and the flexibility of Star’s pet services. Kountry definitely enjoys being around her and she treats him as though he was her own. Always the best.”

About: I’m a caring and reliable pet sitter with experience looking after both dogs and cats. I grew up helping care for family dogs, including walks, playtime, and giving them lots of affection and attention. I’ve also been around cats since I was young, and currently live with two cats, so I understand their different personalities and how to care for them with patience and respect. Having my own puppy has also helped me build practical experience with routines, basic training, supervision, and the patience that young pets need. I know how important it is for pet owners to feel that their animals are in loving and trustworthy hands, and I always do my best to provide calm, attentive, and affectionate care. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine because I have a very flexible schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to each pet. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, so walks, playtime, feeding, check-ins, and keeping them company are things I’m happy to build into my day. I’m used to caring for pets consistently at home, including my 3-month-old puppy and two cats, so I understand the importance of routine, supervision, patience, and making pets feel safe and comfortable. Whether a pet needs active play, companionship, or a calmer pace, I’m able to adapt to their needs. I believe pets do best when they feel safe, relaxed, and cared for, so I always focus on creating a calm and loving environment. In my home, I care for my puppy and two cats, and they coexist well, which has taught me a lot about supervision, patience, routine, and respecting each pet’s space and personality. I also have a backyard for safe, supervised outdoor time. In a client’s home, I carefully follow their instructions and respect the pet’s routine so they can feel secure, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: I have had cats all my adult life. Sometimes just one but have had up to 4 cats in a space of 5 years. I love cats, I consider mine my babies and will treat yours the same while they spend their time with us. I am very happy to take care of small dogs and any puppies. I have taken care of my families dogs and my friends dogs, they will need to get along with my cats and would like to see you for a meet and greet so I can see how they all do together. I'm home full time, I have 2 cats that love to play. Witcher has an electric litter box but Whiskey has a regular box, I would prefer for you to bring some litter that I can add to the box that I have here that I clean daily. I have different types of toys for them to play with, a tree for them to climb and a short scratcher with a hammock. I have plenty of scratchers, mats, trees and toys. I have a few beds as well. Please feel free to bring your cats favorite things. I like for you to bring a bed/blanket that has the scent of your home so if they can get comfort from them. I give treats to my boys morning, afternoon and night. Sometimes they get catnip in the afternoon instead of treats. Please let me know if you would prefer that your cats not get any nip so I know not to put any out.
“Raquel was able to watch our Snickers last minute when our other sitter cancelled due to an emergency. My son is very picky about who we leave our pup to, and her communication was superb, sending pics, videos and updates, helping to put my son at ease. We will definitely use Raquel in the future!!”

“We can’t thank Allina enough for taking such amazing care of our dogs, especially on such short notice. We were in a stressful situation trying to find someone last minute, and she stepped in without hesitation. She was so patient, understanding, and treated our dogs with care. Knowing they were safe, loved, and well cared for gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. We are beyond grateful for her kindness and compassion. If you’re looking for someone you can truly trust with your pets, we wholeheartedly recommend Allina. We would absolutely book with her again when we are back 🩷!”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was a child and am a dog mom to my 6 year old terrier named Princess Cactus Flower. I have also watched friend's and family member's dogs many times. I work from home full time, so I am pretty much always home! I work from home full time and we have a backyard, so I’m able to give your pet the attention they will need during the day, and I will be able to let them outside to use the bathroom whenever they may need it. I love going on walks! I typically walk my own dog three times a day: once in the morning, once around the middle of the day (depending on the weather), and once at night. I can adjust however needed for your pet's schedule. My dog does not typically go on longer walks, but I can take your dog separately if they are used to longer walks! My complex has two dog parks, one small and one big. So they will have opportunities to run around off leash as well. I have a fenced in yard that does have a gate access point. As long as the weather is good your pet can also hang out outside. We do not have any doggy doors but I am able to let your pet out when needed. If I am at your home, it will be a pretty similar experience except I will most likely not have my dog with me as my partner can stay home with our pet. I am flexible and open to following whatever schedule your pet needs!
About: I am a lifelong animal lover. I have owned pets for years and regularly dog sit for friends and family. I have a flexible work from home schedule. I want to raise our son to grow up with kindness, compassion, and respect for animals, so having pets around is something we truly value as a family. I am also a volunteer at Doodle Dandy Rescue and have fostered pets, so I am comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I know how important it is for pets to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away, and I treat every pet like part of our family. You will receive daily updates, photos and videos so you can feel confident that you fur baby is in good hands :) Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, or sticking to their routine, I provide reliable and attentive care in a calm, loving environment. Since I work completely remote, I’m home most of the day and able to give pets plenty of attention, supervision, walks, playtime, and companionship. We like to go on hikes on weekends as a family so I'd love to take the pets as well(with pet owners' permission). Weekday evenings are mostly walks, some backyard play time and wind down. I follow all owner instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, medications, crate preferences, and exercise routines. Safety is very important to me, so I keep pets secure during walks, avoid unsafe situations, and make sure they feel comfortable and stress-free at all times. I do have a fenced yard.
“Phenomenal! I needed to do a 14 mile hike 2 2.4 hours away from home and Homa, living near the hiking destination, took great care of my Rikki while I hiked! Even when my hike took an unexpected couple extra hours, she was so accommodating in making sure Rikki was taken care of until I could return. Would certainly rebook with her again when I come back to finish the other trails! She sent several pictures, and even some super cute ones of him outside!”

“My dog, Chalupa, loved her stay with Marco. Chalupa normally has anxiety but Marco gave her lots of cuddles and belly rubs to help her feel comfortable. I highly recommend Marco.”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
