About: UT alum who recently moved back to Austin after spending a year in Washington state! I’ve had dogs since I was 9, so as soon as I graduated college and could finally get one of my own, I did. Hurricane Harvey had caused local shelters to overflow, and that’s when I adopted Winston. After 10 amazing years together, I unfortunately had to say goodbye. I’m definitely missing having a dog of my own around, so I’d love the distraction (and extra dog time!) of caring for yours. My boyfriend and I both work from home, and he has a 12-lb long-haired mini dachshund named Hanz. Like most small dogs, Hanz is fully convinced he’s about 75 lbs and runs the house accordingly. I’ve been around dogs of all sizes and personalities my whole life and would love to give your pup plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and love while you’re away! I work from home, so I am very flexible. I go to the gym daily, but overall I’m a homebody so I won’t be gone for long. Since my boyfriend and I both work from home, someone is almost always around to keep your pup company! I’m happy to stick as closely as possible to their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, potty breaks, medications, crate time, and any other preferences you have. In our home, we have Hanz, a 12-lb mini dachshund, so I always make sure any introductions are done carefully and everyone is comfortable. I’m also happy to separate dogs when needed, especially during meals or when we’re out of the house.

About: Hey guys! I have been taking care of the doggos for the past 8 years. I have my own Siberian Husky who is the friendliest guy around. I can take care of any medical needs such as oral and intramuscular if needed. My boy has elbow dysplasia so I’m well versed in giving medication. I have tons of patience when it comes to the doggos and will work with them. We have our own dog park which is right around the corner. They will never be bored. I have a hybrid work schedule and my office is 4 minutes away. I’ll be gone in the morning and home by 12pm Monday through Thursday. Friday through Sunday I am home all day. I take care of them like they are my own children. Feed them on schedule and playtime as well. They will get all the love and care that I give my dog Vincent. We will play everyday at the dog park. If you aren’t fond of dog parks for your pup we can go on long nature walks near my neighborhood. If your pup just needs a spot to lay their head and watch movies they can do so on my bed. I have plenty of space for them to roam around have two story apartment with 2 bedrooms. They will love my place.

We miss having a furry friend around and would love to open our home (and hearts!) to your dog. Because we both work mostly from home, your pup will have constant company and attention throughout the day. About: I have 8+ years of experience working with dogs. I have worked with different breeds with an understanding of their specific needs and have a keen sense of dog behaviors. I am very accommodating to pet services on a routine basis, but also last-minute appointments or prolonged services. I will be ready and available to doing new services as well as repeated services. Boarding- I make all animals feel at home in my house, I will always be present if need be or not away for more then 2-3hrs. I will remain in contact with the pet parent and keep updates on their pet(s). I will take them out regularly for pee/poo breaks and exercise. I will feed them as directed and any other care that is needed such as medications, bathing, and topical or therapy treatments. Sitting- I enjoy meeting the animals in their own home, and do my best to always make sure the routines are set in place just as normal when the pet parent(s) are away. I will remain in contact with them and give any updates during the sitting. I will promise to take care of the home and be of service to the pet at all times when needed. Doggy daycare- For the daycare services, they are welcomed into my home. I will set up a routine with the daytime services that are requested by the pet parent(s). Drop Ins- I will do the amounted time that is required, and take excellent care of the pet(s). Do what is required and asked of me by the pet parent(s) for drop-in care. Walks- I will walk the pet(s) as needed and requested by the pet parent(s) and make sure they get the recommended time of walk, exercise needed, as well as monitoring the pet(s) abilities during the service; such as, weather conditions, duration of the walk, exhaustion of the pet(s), and if the pet is needing water when returning from walks.

My personal dogs (3 Dachshunds and a Golden Retriever) spend most of the day outside playing on the deck and sun bathing. They have access to clean water at all times. I generally crate the smaller dogs at night. My cat prefers my daughter’s bedroom, so he’s rarely seen. I am happy to accommodate whatever needs and requests you have for your pet.

About: I’ve cared for dogs for more than 35 years, but my experience goes well beyond owning pets. For two years, I was one of the general managers of Care for Dogs, a large rescue organization in Chiang Mai, Thailand, caring for roughly 200 dogs with a team of about 20 employees, volunteers and visiting veterinarians. My role covered nearly every part of rescue operations: daily care, medications, veterinary appointments, fostering, adoption placement, behavioral evaluation, rehabilitation and end-of-life care. I personally fostered approximately 30–40 dogs and helped place more dogs into permanent homes than I can count. I also coordinated the international relocation of roughly 20 rescue dogs from Thailand to adoptive homes around the world, handling veterinary requirements, health documentation, vaccinations, airline logistics, crates, travel arrangements and adopter coordination. I’m especially comfortable with dogs who need more attention than the average pet sitter may be accustomed to. I have extensive hands-on experience with senior dogs, anxious and fearful dogs, rescue dogs, dogs recovering from surgery and dogs with ongoing medical needs. My experience includes administering oral and topical medications, injections and subcutaneous fluids; assisting veterinarians during procedures; wound and post-operative care; mobility assistance; cones, bandages and stitches; overnight monitoring; hospice and end-of-life care; and recognizing behavioral or physical changes that may require veterinary attention. I’m also very experienced reading canine body language and working patiently with frightened, undersocialized, reactive or previously abused dogs. Building trust with a nervous dog is something I genuinely enjoy and am very good at. I am not a veterinarian or veterinary technician, and I never pretend to be one. For owners of senior, special-needs or medically complicated dogs, I’m happy to provide detailed updates including medications, meals, bathroom activity, behavior, photos and changes I observe. I offer boarding, house sitting, daycare, drop-in visits and walks. I have reliable transportation and can assist with emergency veterinary transportation when authorized. I do not accept dogs with aggression toward people, dogs, or cats, or dogs that are not house-trained. Dogs have been a major part of my life for decades. I understand their behavior, their health and, most importantly, how different every dog can be. My goal is simple: when your dog is with me, you should feel confident that someone experienced, observant and genuinely invested in their wellbeing is looking after them. I’m happy to customize your dog’s routine around what makes them comfortable, including feeding schedules, medications, frequent potty breaks, slower walks, mobility needs and extra one-on-one attention for shy, sensitive or senior dogs. My two dogs are Enzo, a mellow 10-year-old neutered Golden Retriever, and Bella, a sweet 2-year-old spayed Great Pyrenees mix. Both are gentle and friendly with other animals, and their calm personalities often help visiting dogs settle in. I also have a dog-friendly vehicle set up with ramps, beds and plenty of room for comfortable transportation. Basic grooming such as brushing and simple cleanups can also be provided when needed. Both are mellow, social dogs who are comfortable around other animals and tend to create a relaxed atmosphere for visiting dogs. I take introductions seriously and give every new dog time and space to adjust. I pay close attention to body language, stress signals, eating, drinking, bathroom habits, mobility and changes in behavior. With my rescue background, I’m particularly comfortable with dogs who are shy, anxious, older, recovering from medical procedures or simply need a little more patience. I follow each owner’s instructions carefully and can maintain specific feeding, medication, exercise and recovery routines. I’m also comfortable providing detailed updates about meals, medications, bathroom activity, behavior and anything unusual I notice. Dogs are never pushed into activities they do not enjoy. Walks, swimming, lake outings, interactions with other dogs and other activities are always based on the individual dog’s temperament, health, abilities and your instructions. My goal is to make my home feel less like boarding and more like staying with experienced family.

I previously fostered dogs through Austin Pets Alive and have spent many vacations caring for pets through TrustedHousesitters. I’m comfortable administering prescription medications to both cats and dogs, as well as handling basic grooming needs. Today, I share my home with two cats and two dogs. For the comfort and safety of all pets, my dogs live separately from any boarding guests. Boarding dogs stay on the upper floor and do not interact with my pets. I would love the opportunity to care for your pets, get to know their unique personalities, and help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have a flexible work schedule, so I’m available to board your pet any day of the week. I would love to take your dogs for a walk, too! For boarding, I provide a safe space and a pet bed in my bedroom, separately from my own pets.
