Special needs cats expert
I've been taking care of special needs cats for 9 years. I rescued my first cat from the street while she was suffering from pemphigus, which finally won the battle 8 years later. I adopted another special needs cat from Austin Pets Alive 5 years ago. He is a super senior with diabetes. In the meantime I've also fostered other cats with diabetes as well as blind kitties or with kidney disease. I recently fostered kittens for a few weeks and still currently foster their retired mom. Before the pandemic hit I had been volunteering at APA! for years, at the cattery first, and then on behalf of APA! at AAC, assessing all cats on site weekly. I know a bit about cat behaviors and signs of illnesses. I also live with two doggos that I take care of when they are not all over their official momma: a big lab/Golden mix and a tiny maltese/poodle/chihuahah mix. I also take care of my friends' tiny dogs occasionally, including medication and special care.

I have a fenced yard, an extra room in my house where I can host a pet if needed. I can drive 10ish miles (to be realistic) during the week, and a little more on weekends.

If I could give Clem more than five stars, I would. Leaving our two cats and hedgehog behind was stressful, but Clem gave us complete peace of mind. Every Rover card became the highlight of our day. The photos were adorable, and her updates were so warm, funny, and thoughtful that it was obvious she genuinely cared about our pets. She also went above and beyond by cleaning up after our wonderfully stinky little hedgehog without us even asking. That kind of thoughtfulness meant so much. Clem didn’t just take care of our pets. She made them feel loved. We would trust her with them again in a heartbeat, and I can’t recommend her highly enough.
Clem is awesome! So great with my cats, clear communication, and leaves great check-in notes/pics that make being away from my cats easier knowing they’re in good hands.
The absolute bestest!
Clem is so wonderful and caring with my cat Cloud! Cloud takes two types of medications twice per day and Clem gives them to Cloud no problem! Clem also takes the most amazing pictures of Cloud 📸 thank you!
Clem was awesome with our two cats! Even the shy one would make an appearance with her drop-ins. I'll definitely be rebooking with her when we use Rover again.

Schedule
I have to feed and medicate my own cat and my current foster every 12 hours. That does not prevent me from taking care of friends' pets, including if I have to drive a bit to get there. I'm more available on weekends, but if I'm needed during the week, I can do it!
