“Cassandra & Jason provided excellent care for my three small dogs in my home. They were very thorough with their communication, they were prompt, and my pups got great care. I’m always nervous about going out of town and leaving my precious cargo in the care of others, but I would 100% recommend Cassandra and Jason.”

“Andrew was excellent!! He took beautiful pictures of our dogs and even left a couple of professional-quality ones for us to frame. Small details were so helpful like cleaning up poop from the backyard and bringing in our bins on trash day! My husband said “We give him an A+++++!””

“Samantha was awesome with our critters and accepted our booking last minute after another sitter fell through. She was very knowledgeable on rabbit and cat care. She asked lots of questions about my pets during our meet and greet to better understand their behavior's and care. My cat was also all over her the entire visit rubbing on her. She took some amazing glamor shots of my pets while we were away. Three pets is a lot of work for a 30 minute visit and she did a great job. I will definitely book with her again!”

“Valentina has been AMAZING with Jax & even stays late sometimes after her visits to give him snuggles! I always get pics of the drop ins and updates before and after! Would HIGHLY recommend!!😁”

“Great service from Renada. I was hesitant to leave my doggies with a stranger but after we did the meet and greet I felt so at ease. Renada was patient and nice to my dogs, very appreciative of that. She said some suggestions such as getting a radio to help my dogs not feel so lonely, and I can say that helped. If she had any questions/concerns she would keep me in the loop. Updates on the roover card were great, with details and pictures of the visit. She was on time to take out my dogs and if I had any questions she would be available”

“Kaile has been such an amazing rover to us since we used her. She helped me out during a last minute check in and it’s been great ever since. She leave amazing rover report cards and sends you lots of pictures of your dog during the visit which is always enjoyable to see. My dog loves her visits and I have no worries when she drops in to visit Mia”

About: where do i even begin. so much sets me apart from other sitters it’d be impossible to list them all here. just imagine the best sitter ever and that’s me i’m a teacher so i’m pretty open during the summer. during the school year could work, too, depending on what’s needed and the specific dates i probably don’t do anything differently than another sitter. i do like to talk to them a lot. like constantly. most pets seem to like that
“Danielle is such a kind and caring sitter! I feel so good knowing my 3 girl cats are taken care of with so much love. She is especially helpful given that my cats have to be separated and she make sure everyone gets enough attention and playtime. 💓”

“Lori did great as always and was able to cover holidays for me. I am so lucky to have her and the kitties are always glad to see her. Mittie watches out the window when she leaves.”

“Shane did great with the dogs! He let them out and followed all our instructions. We even had a last minute change up with instructions bc one of our pups got a boo-boo requiring him to wear a cone and Shane was super accommodating and responsive. Would have him come hang with our pups again!”

“Audrey was very attentive to Jake’s needs & made us feel very comfortable and at ease with leaving Jake at home over the weekend. In-home visits twice per day are a much better option than boarding for our senior cat. Thank you so much, Audrey.”

About: Since I was young I’ve always loved taking care of animals. I’ve never met a dog that I don’t love or one that doesn’t love me. I’ve taken care of friends and families dogs; walking, feeding, playing, etc.I have a 10 year old dog and a 5 year old black cat at home. I’m a school librarian on summer break looking to fill some time and make some extra cash. My schedule is super flexible and I can accommodate to you and your pets needs! I am available Monday-Sunday. I have a reactive dog, so I cannot board any animals in my own home but I would love to do house visits for clients. My dog is my family and has been since high school, and I treat him as such. I understand pets are family and I will treat them either way the utmost respect and care.
“Amanda came highly recommended by a family member and now I can see why. She was communicative, friendly and most importantly, took excellent care of my pups! This was my first time using Rover and she made it very easy to navigate the process.”

“Magda was great with the dogs. She took them both on a walk and fed them for us. The pictures looked like they were delighted by her company. We would definitely ask her to help with the dogs again,”

“Hal is always so great with both my cats! One of them is shy and she does not overwhelm him or push him to interact with her. She is very trustworthy and always provides good updates and plenty of photos.”

“Mya was absolutely amazing with my cat! She communicated with me throughout the entire stay, followed every instruction perfectly, and gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. It was obvious she genuinely cares about animals and has such a kind heart. I could tell my cat was well cared for and in great hands. I would recommend Maya to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you again, Mya—I truly appreciate everything you did!”

About: Hey, I'm Adrianna, a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all kinds. Growing up in a rural area, I was always surrounded by animals, such as dogs, cats, fish, pigs, donkeys, cows, and chickens. I often took in stray or abandoned animals, ensuring they were cared for and given the love they deserved. I have been pet sitting for friends and family for the past four years, providing both in-home stays and pet boarding at my place. I have fostered in the past, as well as volunteered at animal shelters, giving me experience with puppies, kittens, senior pets, and animals with special medical or anxiety needs. I know every pet has their own preferences and quirks, and I take the time to learn what makes each one feel comfortable and safe. I do pet sitting full-time, so I'm always ready to be available and present with your pet! I make sure to ask detailed questions about your pet's needs to ensure I'm giving them the care they deserve. I appreciate detailed instructions about your pet’s routine, needs, and preferences. Every dog is different, and I want yours to feel as comfortable as possible while away from home. Whether your pup has specific feeding schedules, chew habits, play styles, sleep preferences, or socialization needs, I’m here to listen and adjust accordingly. No request is "too much"—you know your pet best! Expect plenty of pupdates (photo updates) and communication, so you always know how your bestie is doing. Let me know if there’s anything specific I can do to make their stay better!

About: Hey y’all!! ⭐️ I've been caring for animals for as long as I can remember and have always had a deep love for dogs, cats, and other pets. As an Environmental Science student at the University of Texas, I've studied animal behavior and developed a better understanding of how animals communicate, learn, and interact with people. I am both an outdoorsy person and homebody, so I’m able to adapt to your pet’s personality! Whether your pet needs a zoomies companion, loves long walks, or simply wants snuggles and attention, I'm committed to providing reliable and compassionate care while you're away. I am currently available in the afternoons and evenings! I am very flexible and can accept last minute bookings for walks, drop-in’s, and house sittings. When caring for pets in a client's home, my top priorities are safety, comfort, and maintaining their normal routine. I understand that every pet has unique needs, so I carefully follow the owner's instructions regarding feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and household rules. During walks, I use secure leashing practices, stay aware of my surroundings, and ensure pets are safe around other animals and potential hazards. I strive to build trust with both pets and owners by providing dependable care, regular updates, and plenty of attention and affection while their family is away.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Daffan
Nola has cared for our two cats since 2017. Nine years, dozens of bookings, and the only reason we're stopping is that we moved out of state. If that alone doesn't tell you everything, here's the rest. Our shy cat, who used to hide from everyone, now greets Nola at the front door. That transformation happened through years of patience, gentleness, and genuinely loving attention. Every visit came with a thoughtful note and photos, litter scooped, fountains refreshed, food routines followed exactly, and the little quirks of each cat remembered and respected while taking care of the house while we are away. Beyond the care itself: Nola is the sitter you can build a life around. She flexed her schedule for our emergencies, covered us when travel plans went sideways, and never once in nine years gave us a reason to worry while we were away. We handed her our keys and our fur babies through job changes, family trips, and everything in between, with total peace of mind. If you're lucky enough to find Nola available, book her. Your pets will love her, and so will you. Thank you for nine wonderful years, Nola. Peanut and Donut will miss you, and so will we.
I was away for two weeks, and she checked on my cats every 3 days while I was gone. Since they have automatic feeders and an automatic litter box, I mainly needed someone attentive to make sure everything was working properly — and she was amazing! She was very caring with my cats, kept me updated, and always sent pictures during her visits, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I could tell she genuinely cared about them. I would definitely choose her again if I need a pet sitter in the future!

Lynne is incredible! This was her first time meeting my new cat who is very scared and shy. She was super patient with her and it was clear my girl loved her a lot! I truly could not recommend Lynne more- she gives me absolute peace of mind when I have to go out of town!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
