“Kaile has been such an amazing rover to us since we used her. She helped me out during a last minute check in and it’s been great ever since. She leave amazing rover report cards and sends you lots of pictures of your dog during the visit which is always enjoyable to see. My dog loves her visits and I have no worries when she drops in to visit Mia”

“Wow! Darynn was amazing dropping in to watch Hazel last minute for me. She communicated with me her availability and that she could definitely take care of my girl while I was stuck in class and at an event. I would highly suggest Darynn to anyone that asks!”

“Laura did an excellent job with Lola! Since we have had her, she has loved people and dogs. However, we learned she was timid when someone new comes in the house. Laura was so patient with our girl and ensured she was well taken care of. We really appreciate all her help!”

About: I have trained and cared for my own dogs, both small and large breeds, all of my life. As a volunteer at animal shelters here in Austin and the Bay Area in California, I have learned to manage and adapt to varied—and sometimes difficult—dog personalities, temperaments, and needs. I am also very comfortable with large animals, having owned and trained my own horses for decades. As a retired journalist and journalism professor, I bring trustworthiness, reliability, and excellent communication to animal care. I can provide walks, engaging playtime, comfort for anxious animals, and administration of simple medications. I will also strictly follow the owners' guidance and preferences on things like allowing dogs on furniture or beds. Please note: While I am an expert animal caretaker, I am new to the Rover platform. I am currently offering introductory rates for a limited time while I build my local profile.I I work from home as a writer/reasercher on my own flexible schedule. i can accommodate your and your pets' schedules on weekdays as well as weekends. I provide walks as needed, playtime, comforting if he or she is anxious, simple medicstions and wound-dressing, and and of course feeding and watering on their schedule.
“Wonderful care! Cassie and Jason are the best! This is our 2nd time booking with them. Our super senior kitty, Mug, had some extra needs this time: thyroid meds. Cassie and Jason did an amazing job caring for Mug. They're professional and caring and we highly recommend them.”

“Mya so graciously agreed last minute to take care of my dog while I was travelling. She was so wonderful and sent daily updates + is magical with dogs. Absolutely recommend her and will ask her again if i need a dog sitter.”

“Andrew was excellent!! He took beautiful pictures of our dogs and even left a couple of professional-quality ones for us to frame. Small details were so helpful like cleaning up poop from the backyard and bringing in our bins on trash day! My husband said “We give him an A+++++!””

“Riley was absolutely wonderful—one of the best sitters I’ve ever had! She was so kind, attentive, and detail-oriented, making sure my cat was happy and comfortable the entire time. She was always on time and went above and beyond to keep me updated. I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such caring hands.”

“Michelle did a wonderful job caring for our two cats while we were out of town. She was quick to set up an in-person meet and greet. She was reliable and sent us updates and photos, and helped check in on the house. We will definitely hire her again!”

About: I grew up walking, feeding and playing with small and large dogs. Ive watched friends’ younger cats and cared for two of my own high need senior kitties. I will primarily be free later in the day. I am off on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays so on those days I am more able to devote time. I keep a tidy environment to ensure the safety, healthy, and happiness of all pets. I make sure to keep everything organized to best take care of all necessities.
“We have a cranky cat that gets anxious when we are away and Magda did a great job taking care of him! We got plenty of photos and our typically cranky cat got along great with her and was relaxed while we were away.”

“I have hired Will more than once and have always been satisfied with how easy he is to work with and how great of a job he does with my dog. Great experience each time, thanks! :)”

“Vesna came by for a last minute emergency drop in! She was so quick to respond and came by within 15 minutes. She’s always a fantastic dog walker and I know I can always count on her!! 10/10!!!!”

About: where do i even begin. so much sets me apart from other sitters it’d be impossible to list them all here. just imagine the best sitter ever and that’s me i’m a teacher so i’m pretty open during the summer. during the school year could work, too, depending on what’s needed and the specific dates i probably don’t do anything differently than another sitter. i do like to talk to them a lot. like constantly. most pets seem to like that
“Audrey was very attentive to Jake’s needs & made us feel very comfortable and at ease with leaving Jake at home over the weekend. In-home visits twice per day are a much better option than boarding for our senior cat. Thank you so much, Audrey.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Daffan
Nola has cared for our two cats since 2017. Nine years, dozens of bookings, and the only reason we're stopping is that we moved out of state. If that alone doesn't tell you everything, here's the rest. Our shy cat, who used to hide from everyone, now greets Nola at the front door. That transformation happened through years of patience, gentleness, and genuinely loving attention. Every visit came with a thoughtful note and photos, litter scooped, fountains refreshed, food routines followed exactly, and the little quirks of each cat remembered and respected while taking care of the house while we are away. Beyond the care itself: Nola is the sitter you can build a life around. She flexed her schedule for our emergencies, covered us when travel plans went sideways, and never once in nine years gave us a reason to worry while we were away. We handed her our keys and our fur babies through job changes, family trips, and everything in between, with total peace of mind. If you're lucky enough to find Nola available, book her. Your pets will love her, and so will you. Thank you for nine wonderful years, Nola. Peanut and Donut will miss you, and so will we.
I was away for two weeks, and she checked on my cats every 3 days while I was gone. Since they have automatic feeders and an automatic litter box, I mainly needed someone attentive to make sure everything was working properly — and she was amazing! She was very caring with my cats, kept me updated, and always sent pictures during her visits, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I could tell she genuinely cared about them. I would definitely choose her again if I need a pet sitter in the future!

Lynne is incredible! This was her first time meeting my new cat who is very scared and shy. She was super patient with her and it was clear my girl loved her a lot! I truly could not recommend Lynne more- she gives me absolute peace of mind when I have to go out of town!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Daffan. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
