“Bianca was very efficient and productive when taking care of my dogs she let me know ahead of time the agenda of the day for the care for my dogs. She was knowledgeable and dealing with hyper dogs, very sweet and I felt comfortable letting her into my home to care for my fur babies ! See you again soon!!”

“Vanessa is wonderful with our cats and doggie! She is so sweet with them. She's one of the few dog sitters that our little Pom trusts! Yay! Thank you Vanessa! And thank you for being so willing to help out even at the last moment!”
“Regan did an amazing job of watching our cats, including complicated meal preps and one cat who didn’t want to come out from under the bed. Looking forward to having her back soon.”

“Andrea was a joy to work with. She arrived for our meet up ahead of time, and took care of our cat right on schedule. We appreciate her being available in short notice, as well.”

“Jalon is amazing! I had to go out of town for work for a couple of days, while one of my kittens needed oral medication, and general checking up on. Jalon is very meticulous with his care, great at communicating with the owner, and was so great with the kitties. I definitely recommend him for any of your pets needs.”

“I really trust and like Jessica for watching over our kitties and home. She has watched over them numerous times and helped us out last minute when we really needed it. Our kitties are always content when we get home after their time with her”

About: I have always been great with animals ever since I was a kid. My family always calls me the ‘animal whisperer’. I have been pet sitting for many family members and friends for multiple years. I have experience with small dogs, large dogs, nervous dogs, energetic dogs, etc. I also have experience with cats, bunnies, and hamsters. I have gotten nothing but positive reviews from owners and I would love to take care of your furry friend! Because of my summer break I am available pretty much every day! Aside from a few vacations I am free both weekends and week days! Ensuring your pets safety and comfort is always my top priority. When I do drop in visits I will always make sure that there is nothing around the house that your pet could get into and get hurt.
About: I love dogs and have had four dogs in my family over the years. I have experience feeding, walking, playing with, and caring for dogs of all different sizes and personalities. I understand the importance of exercise, attention, and maintaining their routines. I treat every dog like they’re my own and make sure they are well cared for while their owners are away! I’m currently on summer break before my sophomore year of college and work part time at a restaurant a few evenings a week leaving my days empty to care for pups! I treat every pet and home with respect. I follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medication, and plenty of attention. I make sure your pet feels comfortable while you’re away and will keep you updated with photos and messages for peace of mind!

About: I have experience with caring for a wide array of animals—from bunnies to parakeets! Outside of pet-sitting, I am a beekeeper and amateur nature photographer. Saying I love animals is an understatement, one of my first ever memories is bringing my mom a milk snake I caught in my backyard! I have experience caring for senior pets, as well as newborn fur babies. I always grew up in a household full of 5+ animals, so I understand the importance of routine and specialized enrichment in each pet’s life. I currently work part time, giving me a lot of flexibility in caring and incorporating enrichment time with your pets into my schedule! I typically work afternoons and evenings, allowing plenty of time for sunny daytime walks, outdoor play, and trips to nearby pet parks! I believe pets need a safe environment in order to fully thrive. I provide this by always ensuring they feel like they have enrichment and comfort spaces in each client’s home. I have a wide array of DIY enrichment toys I use for my own fur babies, and am happy to supply any of my own beds and toys for the pets I am caring for!
“Whitney is an incredible sitter. She is wonderful with dogs and goes above and beyond in every regard. So grateful for her. My dog also LOVES her. Would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I've had and loved dogs my entire life. I have extra experience with anxious dogs and senior babies as I have some of them myself! I'd love to take care of your puppies like they're mine. I am a college student who has lots of time while home on break and I would love to care for your pet! I love taking walks and lounging around, whichever your pet prefers! I am unable to bring pets back to my home at this time due to my living situation, but I will provide the best care in your home.
“Thank you! I saw your question on the tricks. I would love to teach her how to shake. I have tried a few times but it hasn’t caught on. Open to other ideas too. I am also open to ordering any toys you think would be good for her. I got one of those dog feeder snuffle mats but not something you can use when you just drop in!”

“Raven helped us out with our two kitties in a crunch. She allowed Chai and Boba to warm up to her in their own time and followed all instructions perfectly. She is very communicative and detail oriented. We look forward to booking again 😊”

“Christine was an absolute delight to communicate with, and we trust her implicitly with caring for our pet dog and cat, both are senior animals who require medication and special attention. Christine was quick to respond to our inquiries, and left thorough notes for each visit. We highly recommend Christine to anyone who needs pet care assistance.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - West Lake Hills
Terra is amazing!! She is the first experience I’ve had using Rover and she was so thorough and thoughtful with her questions regarding Charlie and his needs. Terra was so helpful with the initial booking process, very communicative, and left the sweetest notes in the daily rover cards. I came home to a happy kitty and felt so good knowing he was well taken care of while I was away. Would absolutely book with Terra again, thank you so much! :)

Meredith was an excellent and brave caretaker of Oscar. Highly communicative, thoughtful and considerate. Oscar warmed up quickly and really enjoyed her presence. Meredith was skilled at managing complex situations and used excellent judgment. Would highly recommend her services and will definitely hire again.

I booked Zoey over the Holidays to drop in and check on my cat. She was fabulous and I would absolutely book with her again. She was responsive to my messages, considerate of my space, and even swept up around my cats litter box without the expectation to. I am very thankful for her help!

Morgan is one of the best sitters on Rover, hands down. She is incredibly intuitive and attentive to animals and their unique needs. My cat loves drinking water from the sink (something I never mentioned), and somehow Morgan picked up on it and even turned on the sink for her 😂 That level of care and awareness speaks volumes. She went above and beyond in every aspect, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
