“Cortney is very responsive and easy to work with. She accommodated a couple of schedule changes with no concerns. I am very happy with the care she provided to our two cats while we were away for a week. I will definitely book Cortney for future pet sitting needs.”

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was a young child. Always having dogs and cats of my own to care for, my friends and family have always relied on me to sit their fur babies when they are away. Recently I pet sat for a litter of puppies and a momma doggie. I had to make specialty food gruel for the puppies and monitor momma to make sure she was healthy. I helped the puppies nurse and always made sure they had fresh bedding (since they poop all over). I also had to care for another male dog in the same house and make sure he was kept away from the room that the momma and puppies were in. It was such an amazing experience and I would love to do it again. I also volunteer at the Austin Animal Shelter (Austin Pets Alive), where I work in the parvovirus unit working with extremely sick puppies. I administer oral medication, clean up their poop, do daily feedings and have experinece in IV treatments. I also volunteer in the cat unit helping sick and injured cat rehabilitate giving oral and IV medication, cleaning wounds and feedings. My belated kitty, Morrisis, was a senior cat, who in his later years, became paralyzed from the waist down. I did daily physical therapy with him, built him specialized litter boxes and a set of wheels to get around with. I also had to clean his wounds and poop off of his rear end, since he no longer had control of his bladder. I administered CBD to help with pain management. There is a special place in my heart for sick animals and I give them just as much love as every animal deserves, which is all of my love. I my free time, I foster stray cats in my neighborhood, taking them to their first vet appointments, getting shots and managing any sickness they may have. I foster them myself until I can find a suitable forever home for them. My work schedule is typically 10am-3-30pm. This allows me to drop in for visits and walks before my full time job, as well as multiple times afterwards. On my days off I am more than happy to house sit, or take care of your fur babies in your house for a couple days. I will post my schedule 2 weeks in advance. When I am in my clients home, I allow supervised playtime outside and will keep your pup entertained. In the heat of Texas summers I will minimize outside play time and play with your pup more inside so they do not get over heated, unless you request otherwise. I do multi-daily walks around the neighborhood to stretch your pups legs. I keep a close inventory on any medications the animal may have and stick to the correct time for administering medication/ wound treatment. Meal time is usually on a schedule, unless you free feed, and I will always make sure there is cold fresh water available for your fur babies (cats and dogs alike). For kitties, I will engage them in playtime and try to get out their zoomies so they do not tear up furniture, unless they are sick or injured.
“Whitney really is one of the best for dog services she knows how to walk well and gets along with your pet immediately also very mild-mannered and relaxing to work with”

About: I’ve spent years around pets and genuinely enjoy taking care of them. I grew up with 2 massive English Mastiffs, lazy cats and a chihuahua so I can handle anything. Whether it’s walks, feeding, or just keeping them company, I make sure they feel comfortable and happy. I’m patient, reliable, and good at reading what each pet needs. You’ll always get updates so you know your pet is in good hands. I’m a full time student with a flexible schedule, so I’m available throughout the day for reliable and consistent pet care. Whether your pet needs midday visits, regular walks, or extended attention, I can easily work around their routine to keep them cared for. I treat your home and your pet with respect. I follow your pet’s routine, provide regular walks, feeding, and attention, and make sure they feel comfortable and safe while you’re away.
“Bianca was amazing with my dogs. She was very responsive throughout the whole process, keeping me updated every step of the way with texts and photos. She is very good with dogs and able to handle them even though they have a lot of energy. I would recommend her to anyone.”

“Victoria was so great to work with! Communicative, punctual and respectful of my shy senior cat. She took such good care of her, provided me detailed information of what was happening and took really great photos! I highly recommend her!”

“Willow was fantastic! Both of my kitties immediately liked her and felt comfortable with her! That’s really all I can ask for but she also followed my feeding instructions to a T, and was very respectful of my space- even cleaned their food bowls for me before she left on her last visit! I will definitely be a repeat client 😄”

“I rebooked Raven and I’m so glad to have found someone so reliable to care for my cats! She was able to administer medication to one of them with ease, and she was very communicative throughout her visits. Raven will definitely be my go-to cat sitter!”

It was such a relief!!! She’s trustworthy, great communication! And follows additional asks you may have (i.e. we asked her to update us if our dot was practicing his manors when taking treats softly from your hands) she’s great and i would 10/10 recommend her and book again!!!”

About: I am a full time pet caregiver located in Austin, TX. I have been in this line of work for more than 6 years and I enjoy it so much that I started my own business. If you’re looking for consistent, reliable and affordable pet care in the greater Austin area, then I’m your girl! I am a full time pet caregiver, so this doesn’t fit into my routine it is my routine! I also walk and/or jog multiple times a day as a preferred form of exercise. Is it a surprise I like to bring a few friends along? I live in an open concept apartment located along Lake Carolyn in Irving, TX. There is more than enough space for your fur babies to roam inside, but that would hardly be necessary! I walk/jog often as a preferred form of exercise and I’d be happy to bring your fur baby along! There is also a fenced dog area at my complex and I am located less than half a mile away from Campion Trial, Paws Colinas Dog Park, California Crossing Park and more!
“Kate was incredible! She was so kind and professional, really went above and beyond what I could have hoped for. She really helped me out in a pinch and I can't wait to book her again!”

That means I can offer longer visits, midday check-ins, or extra playtime on those days, not just a quick walk and out the door. I'm happy to work around your pet's routine rather than squeezing them into mine. I live in an apartment with my own dog, who is super friendly and great with other dogs, plus two equally friendly cats. Your pet won't be alone, they'll have calm, social animal companions the whole time. I don't have a yard, so walks and nearby green space are how we get outside time in, and I'm always attentive to introductions so everyone feels comfortable.

Katherine was so great with our girl, Tilly! We had to go out of town last minute and Katherine really helped us out and was quick to respond. Her check-in notes were very detailed and gave me the peace of mind that our kitten was well taken care of during her drop-in visit. Highly recommend Katherine for your furry loved one!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
