“Lauren did an outstanding job taking care of our dog, Rocky, while we were on vacation. From the moment they met, it was clear that they formed a special bond, becoming fast friends. Lauren went above and beyond our expectations, not only ensuring that Rocky was well-fed and cared for but also engaging him in his favorite activity, playing fetch, which brought him so much joy. In addition to her excellent pet care, Lauren took the initiative to bring in all our deliveries, ensuring our home and packages were secure. Her attention to detail and genuine care for Rocky's well-being were truly impressive. We returned home to a happy, dog and house. Lauren's dedication, reliability, and warm personality make her a top-notch pet sitter. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we highly recommend Lauren to anyone in need of pet care services. She is simply fantastic!”

“Willow was fantastic! Both of my kitties immediately liked her and felt comfortable with her! That’s really all I can ask for but she also followed my feeding instructions to a T, and was very respectful of my space- even cleaned their food bowls for me before she left on her last visit! I will definitely be a repeat client 😄”

“Vaughan was fantastic with my two pups Willow and Bodhi. We did a meet and greet beforehand and they both loved her. Also, you can tell how much she loves animals and she is very responsive. Highly recommend using her for your pet needs!”

About: Raised around dogs my entire life, my family and friends have consistently trusted me to care for their canine family. I have a two year old GSD of my own whom I share with my best friend who is the sweetest and most loving dog you will ever meet. Pet sitting is a priority on my schedule, so I will always find the time that is necessary to advocate for you and your pets! I always start my routine by opening doors slowly to make sure nobody escapes. I clean litter boxes daily, even if it isn’t necessary. For male cats, I am always making sure they’ve used the restroom within the past 24 hours, in order to avoid urinary tract issues. If the kitty doesn’t seem to be in a playful mood, I always make sure to maintain space to allow them to approach me on their own accord. I have two female cats of my own, and all of my daily sitter habits reflect to them as well. I go above and beyond to make sure your furry friends are safe and happy.

About: I have had pets my whole life, and absolutely love interacting with them. My skills vary from patience with younger pets, to helping the seniors stand and move. I am currently in between jobs so I have lots of free time to check in on furry friends. I am available starting 7am - 12pm. I am very good at following instructions and keeping pets safe. I try not to leave animals alone for long, and make sure they feel comfortable. That being said I have had to deal with dog fights, and know how to properly end them.
About: I have taken care of a variety of dogs of all ages. I have also had dogs all my life, (specifically beagles), so I understand what is needed to take care of dogs and how to love them (because dogs are our best friends). I am available and flexible during the day but work evenings/nights for 5-7 hours most days of the week. I am still capable of taking care of pets and giving the best care possible. I can easily adapt and adjust to new environments so I will be able to care for your pets in your home where they feel comfortable and safe!
About: Dog owner for 15 years, professional treat-giver, and expert belly-rub provider. I'm comfortable administering medications and have many years experience with puppies of all ages. I will care for your pup like they're part of my family. I work from home so it's very easy for me to take your pup on as many walks as needed. I also have a huge backyard for lots of games of fetch. I have a dog of my own, so doggie care is ingrained into my lifestyle. My backyard is fully fenced, and I have a crate available if requested. I’ll always follow your preferences and your dog’s individual needs to help them feel comfortable and at home. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and even the bed if that’s okay with you! My home is very small-dog friendly, as I have a dog and cats of my own. For everyone’s comfort and safety, your dog should be cat-friendly.
About: Experienced and loving pet caregiver with a passion for making animals feel safe, happy, and at home. I’m patient, reliable, and treat every pet like family. I am currently in grad school and would love to spend time with your pets on my study breaks! I enjoy walks and spending time outside so having a furry friend would be the best! I provide attentive, personalized care by following each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, playtime, and any special needs. Whether in my home or a client’s, I create a safe, comfortable environment where pets feel loved and at ease.
“Whitney really is one of the best for dog services she knows how to walk well and gets along with your pet immediately also very mild-mannered and relaxing to work with”

“Nani is a great cat sitter! She helped us out in a pinch ahead of a holiday and was very professional and responsive. She took good care of our cat while we were gone. Would highly recommend!”

“She was super accommodating for a last minute request, followed instructions and gave me peace of mind when checking on my cats. I’ll definitely try and request her in the future!”

“Jackson took good care of my four dogs (one 3 month old puppy). He was timely on the visits and when I came home the house was in good order. Brought in my garbage bin and let me know of a package that was left on the street, which he brought into the house. Also kept the dog area where they do their business very picked up and clean. Overall I had a good experience with Jackson and would use him again.”

About: I got my first cat when I was just 8 years old, gaining full responsibility of her at 10 years old. I am now 19 years old and have had the pleasure of taking care of hundreds of pets (mostly dogs)! For about 6 months I was a kennel technician for a kennel which generally had about 60+ dogs in it. I bonded so much with every dog, most breaks I would just go into a kennel of dog who might've been skittish and try to bond, they really liked that. At this job, I mostly cleaned kennels but also fed dogs/cats their specific food requests and documented it on sheets. On the other hand, I was a dog caretaker at a small business in Austin where I would take up to 7 well-behaved dogs (that's all my car could fit!) to a nearby trail and let them off leash to explore. At the commercial space, I monitored 15+ dogs playing, making sure no one got hurt (or somewhere they shouldn't be!). This job taught me the most about dogs and dog behavior. I'm currently living in Austin with a part time job I limit to Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. So, I prefer to reserve Mondays and Wednesdays for taking care of furry friends! This helps keeps my days organized. Currently, I have lots of availability for evening walks on Mondays and Wednesdays I love animals! I will give your pet lots of love and do as intstructed, whatever is needed! If you request that I give your pet a special treat, I will. I have learned behaviors of pets over the years that I have cared for them, every pet is different but I learn quickly! I will not be able to house your pet because I live in a dorm.

About: I’ve been a dog and cat owner for 30+ years. I’ve dealt with everything from healthy pets, to bottle babies, to medical needs such as tube feeding and giving insulin shots. I’d love to give your pets the same care and affection I give to my own! Currently retired, so my schedule is open for your visits! I can visit once or twice daily, depending on your needs. My hours are flexible. Because I live in the country in an extremely low-traffic area, my dog is free range, but I completely understand the need for leashes and caution with your pets. My cats are indoor only.

About: I grew up with a dog until I was 18 (Westie - Minnie) and then after college was adopted by a wonderful rescue sphynx (PyeWacket). Over then next 20 or so years I have had 4 sphyx cats (PyeWacket, Forty Two, Tesla and Cairo) and 1 Lyikoi (Cypher). Over the last year my house has had 4 puppies (from 8 weeks), 2 turtles, 2 Guinea pigs, 2 full size dogs 6 cats and multiple fish. I also often house sit for a very smart chihuahua named Mazie. Currently in between jobs so my schedule is fairly open. Like early and late walks due to the heat but open for anything. Open to late night feedings if needed. I treat your animals like they were my own. Love to play, hang out and what ever your little one needs. Need to make sure they know they are loved.
“Eric was amazing! He can’t by for a little over an hour each of the 3 day I was out, left the best recaps of his trip with the pups and the best pictures!! The pups were lucky to have him this weekend!”
“Lilyanna did a great job! She reported in with pictures with each visit. Bitsy was a healthy and happy girl when we got home. We would definitely recommend Lilyanna!”

“Soley was great with Lil Man! She was also great with us humans. When she came by to meet Lil Man the cat, and receive the key, she was pleasant, attentive, and very good with our animals (we also have a dog too). She came by as scheduled every other day and gave Lil Man lots of pets, grooming, and kept his litter nice and clean. We would recommend her in a heart beat to anyone looking for a friendly pet sitter.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Bear Creek
Audrey did an excellent job caring for my three cats, Picasso, Kendrick, and Kendra, while I was away for Memorial Day weekend. She checked on them for four days, making sure they always had food, fresh water, and clean litter boxes. What I appreciated most was her communication. Audrey sent daily updates and pictures, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was on vacation. Knowing that my cats were safe, cared for, and being checked on regularly allowed me to truly relax and enjoy my trip without worrying about them. It was clear that Audrey was reliable, attentive, and genuinely cared about their well-being. I would absolutely recommend Audrey to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter, and I would be happy to book with her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
