About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, fish, rodents, reptiles, and other animals of all kinds. Growing up, my family had numerous animals over the years that I assisted in training and caregiving. I have two pups of my own that were both rescued and trained. I am familiar with dogs who are reactive or have behavior problems. I trained my dogs in basic commands, agility, and search and find. I treat all animals like they are my own, so please contact me if there is anything special about your pet that I should know! I am currently taking some time off from work, so I have plenty of free time to spend with your fur babies. I am always happy to provide extra pets and snuggles to those who love a little extra attention. If there are any specifics I need to know about you, your home, or fur baby, please let me know, and I will happily accommodate.

About: Raised around dogs my entire life, my family and friends have consistently trusted me to care for their canine family. I have a two year old GSD of my own whom I share with my best friend who is the sweetest and most loving dog you will ever meet. Pet sitting is a priority on my schedule, so I will always find the time that is necessary to advocate for you and your pets! I always start my routine by opening doors slowly to make sure nobody escapes. I clean litter boxes daily, even if it isn’t necessary. For male cats, I am always making sure they’ve used the restroom within the past 24 hours, in order to avoid urinary tract issues. If the kitty doesn’t seem to be in a playful mood, I always make sure to maintain space to allow them to approach me on their own accord. I have two female cats of my own, and all of my daily sitter habits reflect to them as well. I go above and beyond to make sure your furry friends are safe and happy.
About: I’ve grown up with cats and dogs my entire life and have always been the go-to person for friends and family when they need someone they trust to care for their pets. I currently have three cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities, routines, feeding schedules, giving medication, litter care, playtime, and giving pets the attention they need. I work from home, which gives me plenty of flexibility for check-ins and pet care throughout the day. I know how important it is to have someone dependable caring for your pets, and I’ll treat them like they’re my own. I work from home, with a pretty flexible schedule so I am able to accommodate all different times and lengths of stay. Additionally I have my own vehicle. In your home I will follow all given instructions, respect you and your pets space and ensure your animals are cared for just as you would.
“I’ve had the opportunity to have Michelle care for our dog and cat several times now and she’s been absolutely fantastic! Very responsive. We just really like her and feel very comfortable with her. Highly recommend!”

“Maia went above and beyond!!! Not only was she so kind to my kitties but she even fixed my broken trash can and scooped when the booking was only for a drop by and feeding! My cats and I are very grateful and would absolutely book her again 😊”

“Willow was fantastic! Both of my kitties immediately liked her and felt comfortable with her! That’s really all I can ask for but she also followed my feeding instructions to a T, and was very respectful of my space- even cleaned their food bowls for me before she left on her last visit! I will definitely be a repeat client 😄”

“Michelle was great and we’ll definitely ask her to drop in on our dog again! Our dog is very scared and skiddish so she barks at new people a lot. Michelle was so patient and understanding with her. It’s hard to leave her in the hands of someone else because we know she’s complicated, but we were put at ease with Michelle. Our dog was able to warm up to her after Michelle’s interactions with lots of treats and love. Thank you, Michelle!!”

“Rachel is our new trusted pup sitter! This was my first time using Rover and scrolling through so many options was a lot but I’m glad I chose Rachel. If you want the perfect pet sitter, stop right here and choose Rachel! I have 2 senior dogs. I was looking for someone to not only care for my pups but also connect with them and give them love. When Rachel arrived, the first thing she did was love on my pups and began to connect with them. She followed all of my instructions and arrived on time. She was also very responsive which shows me this is important to her. I always feel guilty for having to leave my pups but I love that Rachel was reassuring, she understands. I trust Rachel and I highly recommend her!”
“Christa is great! I was always alerted when she began her time with Joey (my dog) and when it ended. She would send me several cute photos each time, and she would answer my texts promptly. By the end, Joey loved Christa! Which is saying a lot because she is a very shy dog. I would highly recommend hiring her.”

“Summer is great! I have a very nervous, anxiety ridden pit bull. She was able to quickly get on his good side and win him over. Summer was on time and helped take care of everything my pup needed while I was away.”

“Grant did a great job! He stopped by my place to walk my dogs. My one and half year old pit mix Luna has a ton of energy and he didn’t have any issues with her. I would totally use him again if he’s available.”
About: Located at Hills of Bear Creek, in a quiet neighborhood and fenced yard. There is a walk trail nearby. I am home almost 24/7, with the surveillance on 24/7 for everybody’s safety and pets’. I love animals, they will be treat like they are my own. I will try my best to stick to the routine that your pet is used to, that means I will follow any rules you have for them. I love to go on a lot of walks. I can bring your pet along if they like to walk or run. It depends on their stamina, personality, and routine you have for them. However, I will never go for walk in the dark. They will never be outside unsupervised, even though I own a fenced yard. That is against rover rules and I will abide by it. I always have bowls for water and foods, toys, and treats or bones available if needed. I will also cook real meat or vegetables meals if your pets need them. , please do discuss with me any further about this if this service is required About me: I am a stay home mom with children. When I grew up, I had variety animals. I once owned a monkey, fox, cat, dog, rat, gerbil, guniea pig, and fish. I have one shy cat, Kelsie. She will warm up after a night. She likes to stay back and observe at first. She gets along with dogs and cats, however she is not socialized. As complimentary, I will do one meet and greet before schedule sitting. Your pets and aiko can meet and we can see how things go from there. (I wish I could bring Kelsie to meet/greet. She is a house cat, and doesn’t ever leave) I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I work from home. I am always home and around your pets. I go out for 2 hours for errands, or any sports. I will always communicate if I have to go out for more than 3-4 hours in ahead of time. I have a fenced yard and I do have gate on the stairs to prevent dogs from going upstairs if dogs are not allowed upstairs.
“Neha was amazing! She took great care of Kugubu and did everything that we asked. She was really professional and quick to respond and communicate with us. I would definitely recommend her.”

“This was our first time using Rover. Victoria had already had a visit to meet our 3 fur babies and they liked her immediately. She did a drop in visit and I was pleased to get a report that even our outside dog who is typically leary of strangers, greeted her with a wagging tail! Victoria is kind and has a way with animals so don’t hesitate to call on her for your pet needs.”

“Monica is so good to my pups! They love her like she's a member of the fam and I can't express how much I appreciate the little extra things she does to care for them. Thank you for being awesome, Monica!”

“We were so pleased with Ellie’s first weekend dropping in to feed and play with our boxer Sadie that we booked her for housesitting for five nights later in the summer. Sadie warmed to her quickly, and we returned to a happy, healthy doggie. She was on time every time and sent photos every visit. Absolutely no problems.”
“Erika was so sweet, attentive and responsible. She volunteered to stay longer than I hired her for when the app was a bit glitchy. She communicated with me and she sent several pictures. I recommend this hard-working college student!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Hays
Amber was extremely caring and flexible even after a mistake on our end with our address being labeled incorrectly. She astounded us by being over and above in her care for Bill. We felt very grateful that she was able to care for him over the holiday weekend.

Thank you once again for the wonderful care of our cat and dog. I love that we come home to them missing us, but in a happy way. Nick is reliable, communicates well, and does the work to win over our pets every time he cares for them. The walks and snuggles help our little guy with his anxiety. I highly recommend Nick and will book him again when we travel.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hays. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
