Hi, I'm Kait! I've been pet and house sitting for over 20 years. I've been a pet owner for most of my life I have my own dogs as an adult and grew up with cats, birds, and various rodents. I love caring for animals - and I’m happy to care for any species! All of my dogs and cats have been from rescues or shelters, and as other rescue parents know, these sweet souls often come with some behavioral quirks, some of which can be difficult and life-long. All of my rescue dogs have had quirks of their own so I have extensive experience with dogs with various behavioral differences and disabilities, such as (but not limited to!) anxiety and leash aggression. I am confident in my ability to safely care for animals of all kinds, including those with difficult quirks and disabilities - keeping them and other animals around them safe while still fulfilling their needs for love and play. I’m experienced in caring for animals of all ages from puppies and kittens to seniors. I am a pro at giving pets medications, including ones they don't enjoy taking (can you tell I've had a dog like this myself?). I am not a dog trainer but have successfully trained my own dogs and am happy to continue any training you might be in the process of working on with your pups to keep their training consistent. I feel it's important to mention that I am an LGBTQIA+ ally, a disability advocate, and appreciate/celebrate diversity of all kinds (neuro-diversity, ability, race, ethnicity, sex, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, etc., etc.); pet parents of all kinds are safe with and respected by me. <3

I will care for your pet(s) and home with love and respect while you are away. My goal is to make sure that all clients are 100% comfortable before leaving their pets in my care so they have zero worries while they are away. I will send updates for every service, including photos and details on what I did with your pet(s). Please do not hesitate to give me detailed care instructions for your pet; I want to make sure your animals are happy and their routines stay consistent while you are away. I will contact you immediately if I sense that anything is amiss. I have a van and can immediately take animals to vets if an emergency occurs. Pets are part of our families and I will treat your animals with the love and care that I give my own pet family members! Please don't hesitate to reach out and ask any questions you might have - I am more than happy to answer as many as you need to feel comfortable.

I had a wonderful house / pet sitting experience with Kaitlyn. Her exceptional reliability and timely communications/updates provided much appreciated travel peace of mind and both of my dogs were happy and healthy. She was very attentive to my "girls" too - even quickly reacting and caring for a heat rash that developed on one of them. Lastly, she took great care of my house too - leaving it clean and tidy. We'll definitely use Kaitlyn for future sittings.
I had an amazing experience with my dog sitter and would absolutely recommend her. She took such great care of Maverick, and it really showed—he was in great spirits when I got home and not stressed at all, which is huge since he has separation anxiety. She was also incredibly communicative, keeping me updated and letting me know when she would be in and out of the house, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. On top of that, she left my home spotless and even did laundry, which was above and beyond anything I expected. I’m so grateful for the care and attention she gave both Maverick and my home. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again!
Although my cat was shy, Kaitlyn always sent pictures of him and encouraged him to be brushed. Her regular and useful communications put me at ease while I was a long way from home.
Kaitlyn was amazing! Kept our two cats well fed and loved. She sent pics along the way and had detailed notes for the visits, would absolutely book her again!
Kaitlyn was one of the best sitters we have had! She was a great communicator and accommodating. She seemed very comfortable with our dogs and we came home to happy pups! We would love to have her again.

Schedule
I have a very flexible schedule as Rover is my only current job/source of income. I am a part-time remote student and can do my schooling at any time of day so my availability is quite flexible and can accommodate nearly any time of day for pet care, including last minute changes and requests.
